He's joking that a previous speaker needs an update on his recent activities, which include having visited a specific university. His mention of "political correctness" and "preferred pronouns" seem to poke fun at the current so-called culture war at universities. So he tells everyone he is picking his own gender-neutral "pronoun," Colonel.

he is being inflammatory with speech. referencing "reprogramming" gender pronouns as a part of lgbtq+ lends to "reformed" Christianity branding itself as accepting, in contrast to the generally traditional Muslim faith.
This is very rude and doesn't have anything of intellectual significance to contribute to the dicussion. using the recategorization of sexual identifiers and weaponizing it against some one else's faith is sad and malicious, not funny at all.
makes you wonder about all this so called prestige. #postingfromthefuture #2021

In some respects this contravened the PLO charter, which affirmed the existence of a Palestinian people with national rights. Historically, some hostility existed between the main Fatah faction of the PLO under Yasser Arafat and the Ba'ath party of Hafez al-Assad on this issue." Truth be told majority of Jews are against Zionism and I’m absolutely 100 per cent sure the vast majority of Israelis and Palestinians would’ve found a way to live together in unity had it not been for politics that caused the mess were in today. Don’t blame Israelis nor Palestinians. Plain and simply blame those in power. It serves the people in power for Palestinians to get killed and so it still happens. Vouch for peace and unity. Don’t let them fool u into taking one side or another.

Full of misinformation, this comment is. The majority of Jews are not against Zionism. Zionism by definition means Jews right to exist and the development of Israel to keep Jews in a safe haven in their home. So you cannot be Anti Zionism and acknowledging that Jewish people have the right to exist. It just doesn't mix. This is why Anti Zionism = Anti Semitism.

The most outspoken pro-Palestinian governments past/present against Israel, i.e. Iran (Ayatola), Iraq (Saddam), Libya (Kadafi), Turkey (Ardogan) have been targeted and demonized by the EU as extremist/terrorist/dangerous. Lebanon to date, doesn't allow it's citizens who enter/visit Israel to return to Lebanon. Hizballah (like Hamas) are deemed "terrorist" organizations due to active engagement in rebel warfare with Israel at Lebanese/Israeli border etc. EU blames Arab majority countries of abandoning the Palestinian cause but quickly demonize elements of resistance as "terrorist" activity. It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't thing with the EU.

Actually, Arab nations have unanimously adopted the policy of "The Right of Return:" Palestinian refugees and their descendants who are living/born outside of Palestine are not given citizenship status. The premise of this policy is a direct and clear REJECTION of having Palestinians become nationals of other Arab lands and abandoning the Palestinian refugee's right to return to Palestine... A majority of Palestinian refugees born/living in Lebanon and Jordan for example still reside in "camps," can never attain citizenship status, and have no rights to own property to date.

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a
Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle
against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality
today there is no difference between Jordanians,
Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and
tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of
a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand
that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian
    people' to oppose Zionism.
"For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state
with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa.
While as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa,
Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we
reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even
a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."
(PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein, in a 1977
interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw.)

A bunch of people are commenting on how cringy, embarrassing and poorly argued Kemp's response is. Granted, the intro was ridiculous. But, seeing as I'm ignorant of the facts themselves and assume that the research isn't concocted from thin air, what is it about his rebuttal that was badly argued?
Having watched Lowkey's rebuttal before this, there is an obvious ambiguity that needs to be dealt with in the premise of the debate. Kemp and Lowkey basically argued the same thing, however, yet they are on opposing sides because Lowkey considers the "Arab world" to be primarily the citizens of Arab states, whereas Kemp sees nation states as the true constituents of the Arab world.
Now, in light of this, and granted that Kemp didn't make it clear or address it, what is it apart from this that was "badly argued"? If we DO take the states to be the principle characters of the Arab world, then which information is incorrect or point poorly argued? I'm curious because it seemed perfectly logical given that the info is correct, and I am genuinely interested to know now.
Are these commentaries from liberals who chose not to listen to his reasoning after his image was tainted by the foolishness at the start? Are his facts simply decontextualised or incorrect? Why do people comment how ridiculous it is without giving an answer as to why that is so? Perhaps I'm just so ignorant on the matter that his lunacy isn't obvious to me. Please illuminate me then, if this is the case...

I hate to break it to all of you but other arab countries have failed big time to step in to defend palestinians and the colonel had said it and i have to agree, definitely agree that arab states failed to protect and they boast about military but no action. It is really ashame that israel is surrounded by arab countries and no support from arabs astagh'firulla. You all can say what you want but the truth is bitter, Like we all know what Allah says in the Holy Quran... Speak the truth even if it be against yourself... The colonel has spoken the truth where it comes to palestinians have not gotten the support from other arab nations.

The quote mentioned at 7:04 from president Nasser is not true. It is unlikely that there is a speech for president Nasser I didn't listen to, either at its time or in youtube now, and he never said that, unless the quote was mistranslated. When Nasser made a speech, all the Arabs listened to the radios and absorbed every word he said.

You can search for this on the internet and the quote comes from John Laffin, The PLO Connections (London: Corgi Books, 1983), p. 127. The citation is always claimed to be from an interview in 1956. I doubt that standards for interviews are like the ones we have today -- tape recordings and agreed-upon transcripts. At any rate, an interview is not the same as a broadcast speech, so even though it sounds dramatic, the one-on-one context (whether it was said or not) displaces the drama.

I find it difficult to find someone credible and trust his views on who is responsible for people oppression when he begins his speech by undermining the transgender movement progress by mocking the recent change that allows people to choose to be referred to by pronouns that support their identity. Although for many this seems insignificant, for some it removes a near daily pain and is huge. If he lacks the empathy to understand this, can you really trust that his heart and ultimately his mind is in the right place when it comes to another group of people who's suffering does not directly affect him?

what a twisted disgusting view. Yes of course, the one who oppresses the Palestinians and kill them is not to be blamed. We should condemn who's helping Palestinians keep alive and resisting. Just think about it. if Palestinians die or leave they won't suffer any more!!

I've been saying this forever Jordan took roughly 80% 0f Palestine and they strip the natives of citizen ship and keeps them in tents and then rattle on about jews, Egypt not one BDS supporter ever ask Egypt to open it's border on Gaza

    • @averagemoe7879
      @averagemoe7879 5 лет назад

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I'm Jordanian and On the Border was Palestine. We're Jordanian. That's not Palestine. Palestine ends Where the River starts all the way to the Sea. We didn't take any land of Palestine.
Also the majority of the citizens in Jordan Are of Palestinian descent. So wrong. Where one of the only country that gave them citizenship.
And they don't live in tents they live in communities of refugee camps in buildings.
And the Egyptian government has been sold out everybody in the BDS movement knows that. They don't ask them to open the Border because Egypt has sold out Palestine long time ago

@@averagemoe7879 So no Palestinians see a big swath of Jordan, well over 70% as eastern Palestine and the Heshamite regime as invaders?
