My friend talked me into going and see Rush at the Baltimore civic center there were 2 other bands I think it was 1978 1 was a new band called Cheap Trick the other was U.F.O. I had heard of U.F.O. the song Too hot to handle was being played on the radio !! The show started with Cheap Trick opening they were ok the next band was U.F.O. from the first song I knew they were awesome they played their set what impressed me was the blond haired Lead guitarist who kicked ass on every song he was fantastic I would latter find his name was Michael Schenker they finished with Too hot to handle after they returned for an encore it was Rush’s turn the place was still reeling from UFO the place was buzzing you could feel it,poor Rush was ok but UFO had stole the show !! The next day I went to the store and bought every U.F.O. Which involves Michael Schenker,so many great albums- No heavy petting - Phenomenon- Obsession-Force it - Lights out and of course Strangers in the night !! As 1 of my favorite guitarist would say Keep on Rocking !!
