Living legend Rick Clunn is one them guys that we don't relize how good he is or all the stuff he's won and baits that he has made, just total peice of work is pretty damn good. Not really a rick clunn fan but great come back win for him and gotta give his props.
I'm from KY, but would always go down there in December to mainly crappie fish Lake Woodruff and Lake Dexter. Would also do some bass fishing along the river up into Lake George. Some absolute dandy bass there. My 2 best largemouth of 7.5lbs and 8.2lbs came from the EXACT same spot just south of Lake George on the river about 18 hours apart.
Wow simply awesome! Everyone was on their game in this tourney! Young vs the old! Its soo cool Rick clunn at 72 years old getting her done with his trusty trickster spinner! 3/4 oz spinner is big, he was just going for whoppers only at the end!! Thats how you come back from a 10lb deficit!! True legend rick clunn deserves it! Chris johnston did amazing too though soo close and so did mark menendez! Slobs!! Fish on!!
Im watching this, and this makes me pumped for my High School Tournaments which my next one on lake seminole is this weekend, Go Bassmaster Your focus Determine's Your reality -Qui gon Jinn
I love Mr Clunn , I have been retired for some time from this sport, But he shows that us older guys can still get it done son. This is where knowledge and experience outdoes the young guns. I wish Roland and Jimmy whom like me is a known spinnerbait total fanatic Lol. Along with Billy and Bobby and Ricky green Bow Dowden was still in this. Unlike the rest of the Canadians so far if I came out of retirement I am also like one of my hero's in Angling Mr Clunn plan on getting it done son. I want to fish against the best there ever was and would not fail like the rest from my neck of the woods. If I can come out of retirement I hope Rick at least is still hopping due to I want to fish against at least one of these legends. I would love to meet this amazing man. Congrats keep going you need just a few more to hit my early mentor Roland. If anyone ever could it would be you. Vandam and the rest all came way later but very skilled and would be fun challenge as well. Even if any of you do I doubt anyone will ever beat his three in a row. Or nine time BASS angler of the year. I fished as long as any of these guys but I won mostly small events not these big ones. Never the less read my books soon to be out. I did some amazing things from bringing in a over 37 lb limit in a Quebec tournament with 6 bass in the 80s far surpassing team weights ever achieved in Canada. And winner of over Dozen species of big fish to limit and team tournaments. Especially if your spinnerbait freaks I am one of the earliest practitioners out there and been making my own and tinkering with them since the later sixties with old Shannon twin spins to later bushwackers. If you want to learn how to catch huge fish you may enjoy my up coming books over 5 decades of experience hundreds of days a year and hundreds of tournament big fish wins. Especially spinnerbaits I have designed hundreds of variance and you will see many tricks never listed by other bass anglers or known.
You brought 37 pounds to the scale in the 80s but the Canadian record for a tournament is 31.80 from 2017. Also if the books are real what are they titled? I would also like to know how you can compare yourself to 3 of the greatest professional bass fisherman in the United States just from fishing little club tournaments.
So nice to see Bob. Always enjoyed him and of course Ray . To see a Canadian makes me chuckle you so rarely see them in these. I am winner of hundreds of giant big bass to Musky , walleye sauger and over dozen species of fish. Won my first contest in the later 60s same time as bassmasters started, so these guys way behind the scene. These young guys not even close to the wins of many in the Canadian market, however congrats to them all though late in the game showed they can fish Great stuff! If they think their smallmouth experts well there is many out there with a higher resume than them in wins. Great though to see a Canadian be able to handle themselves with some of these legends. Anytime those tow want to take on the Dragon come down to Ottawa show them how to fish Lol
It’s such a shame that I have to come back to this video to reminisce about all the vegetation that used to be in Lake George and on the St. John’s River 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Yes my friend they have destroyed Florida.....seen it since the 1960's the lakes are muck from spraying hydrilla etc. That's every lake I fish .....sad St. John's pours out into the ocean that's why it's still kicking.
That running in a circle 3 times before you land a fish must be a Canadian thing 😂🤣😂 You could literally see the cogs grind to a halt and the only two things in the universe that computed at that moment was "Big - Un!" Classic stuff!
its really time to start weighing these fish in the boat and releasing them right away. Its no longer necessary for the whole horse and pony show several hours later. Preserve the fish!
No thanks. Part of being a pro should be how to keep your fish alive. Taking that element away is silly. Just take care of the fish well enough and they will be preserved regardless.
Chris Johnston has my EXACT taste in rods/reels High end shimanos on loomis rods = now you’re ruined for life and can’t use anything else. Not a good situation for an amateur angler. $$$$$$
Then why are you watching this video? Stick to MLF if it gets your panties in a knot OR better yet. Go join B.A.S.S. and show them how to do it right :P.
@@mulldrifterz6469 Just a fan of bass fishing not a pro by any means. I mean when the highlights feature guys you have to check out of the assisted living facility for the weekend, c'mon. Go look at the Classic results. Nuf said...
Jim O'Connor Rick Clunn beat Van Dam, Ike, Evers and the rest of the old BASS Elite last year on this same river. I believe Skeet Reese carried his fish to the scales on the final day out of respect for the man Seems some folks could learn from guys likenSkeet what that even means
72 years old and still one of the best, GOAT.....
I want to go fish right now.
72 yrs old and stil doin it good... hats off

That running in a circle 3 times before you land a fish must be a Canadian thing 😂🤣😂 You could literally see the cogs grind to a halt and the only two things in the universe that computed at that moment was "Big - Un!" Classic stuff!

Gotta have the money too, not for everyone. These are not necessarily the best, they are just the best fisherman that can afford to do all that.
이게 진짜 배스 토너먼트~~ :)

K.M.C go watch MLF then lol
What’s the time stamp
Old dudes whippin up on everyone
Why does it seem like these intros are always throwing shade at MLF?
Randy Smith cause MFL took all the top guys. They are salty
Toooo many commercials!
They were catching nothing but pigs in this one.
Chris Johnston has my EXACT taste in rods/reels
High end shimanos on loomis rods = now you’re ruined for life and can’t use anything else.
Not a good situation for an amateur angler. $$$$$$
Menendez makes this one almost unwatchable
KY CC his moans and grunts are killin me lol 😅
> lap...
I REALLY THINK THEY SHOULD BAN BED FISHING FROM THESE BIg MONEY TOURNAMENTS
enough with the fake crowd cheers...my lord guys!
StreetFighter Fan how do you know that though? Lmao
Honestly thought people were standing outside there house watching 😂
I feel conflicted because as a vegan I find this sport immoral, yet it is the most exciting sport; it's my guilty pleasure.
Nothing but hogs
Sorry but the majority of the premier anglers fish MLF. Some of the worst fish landing skills I have ever seen! SMH..
Bassmaster definitely took a hit
What am I missing?
Then why are you watching this video? Stick to MLF if it gets your panties in a knot OR better yet. Go join B.A.S.S. and show them how to do it right :P.
