G- Juse Your life is and was very similar to mine . My love for fish began at around 5years old, it’s never stopped ( I ‘ m 74 now) . Thank you for being born in America ! I’ve been a supporter you. And this sport to . Love it !!!!
They have the old classics on RUclips and the technology change has been incredible ... for Rick Clunn to win in 2016 is amazing he didn't grow up with side imaging and down scans and 250hp outboards and all the stuff we take for granted so to me that makes it all the more amazing !
Quinn Hunsinger while I somewhat agree, it's not like he hasn't been on the leading edge of new gear. If anything his old wins are more impressive than these. Guy is a legend though. I fished against him in 2002, before the Elite series even existed. The man has so much finesse, its incredible.
Was just watching an old bassmaster from decades ago and they did a thing about his home life and interviewed him. He talked about nature and being part of/in tune with it while fishing. INSTANT FAN! He's THE MAN and truly what LEGEND means! Keep it up Rick! Also my grandparents had a place on Lake George in Seville, takes me back
Rick if you reading this get Lucky Strike to start making them trickster spinnerbaits again. So happy for you. Great am-BASS-adeur to the sport of bass fishing and still skills of a legend. Love it !!!
Ian Hill yup. And now you can win more than that at a local amateur tournament. To be fair though, boats weren't 100k then (which is what modern 21' pro staff boats cost. (Cdn, I am a canuck). My 21 foot Triton was 78k, and its not a custom pro boat.
I think it said it a was homemade "vibrating jig" I know where I live its a very common practice when using a chattarbait to jerk and pop it sporadically. It gets the skirts flairing and changes the profile of the lure and also the vibrations.
if scott martin could land a fish like greg hackney he would damn near have as many wins as his daddy roland i have been watching some of scotts videos and it seems like every tournament he loses at least a couple
I agree with clary carrier especially with all eyes on you. Have you ever caught anything over 7lbs not that easy most likely been caught before an they will do anything to get that hook out. Rub rocks, branches, shake, swim right at you to get tension off smarter than you think

Mr.Clunn's double console boat on elite series for marshal comfort. A true gentl man and a class act.

Agree
Rick Clunn is my hero and in my opinion the best Bass angler of all time for more reasons than his tourney past
Rick Clunn is a legend..... a man of honor and hum b let to the core!!

Rick Clunn just SLAYING IT. #legend
It's always good to have good family support. Go Clunn.
The best there ever was period!
Absolutely Sick. Thanks Mr. Clunn
this just made my day
I was a Marshall Day 1...watched the final weigh...unreal!
In one of the clips, Clunn's aoy check was for 2,500.
The greatest of all time and a hell of a nice dude. See you on the Ross in a couple months.
joe alford he's a legend, but KVD is the all time greatest. Both class acts though.
I love Greg hackney man, if I had the chance to fish with any pro it would be him. Funny dude man
Can't wait until 2018 when y'all come back
?
this is epic I love it. man
respectfully, is this the best announcer the bassmasters could find?
He is a beast
I've been waiting for this 😍 Is it bad I know exactly where those places are that people are fishing 😉
What's a secrete ? 😂
+Fishing Florida secret made of concrete
12:45 greg hackney is a savage
But he's no Rick Clunn...
love it!
Nice to see Rick clunn do well I'm thinking that he son with him that good stuff
Dude misses one fish on his senko and gets to change it out, that's the life right there. :P
at 71 years old he can still out-fish anyone of these young bass fisherman any day of the week
cenexes 12 obviously not any day. He does get beaten often.
The question is! How many sides does a barrel have?????.two...inside/outside 😅.
grew up in Jacksonville Florida now I live in indiana
What part of Indiana are you in? I live in Boone County. Shawn
27:00 LEGEND
Fun fact Rick won the classic the year I was born 1990
In one of the clips, Clunn's aoy check was for 2,500.

Hackney is in my opinion the most consistent angler, always at the top
And made one of the best jigs ever back in the day now there are alot more jigs but back in the early 2000 everyone used his jig
Maybe old but nothing but a powerhouse!!
When the oldest guy in your bass club puts on the old man Rick Clunn sun hat you know it’s over.
Was clunn fishing a chatterbait like a swim/jerkbait?
I think it said it a was homemade "vibrating jig" I know where I live its a very common practice when using a chattarbait to jerk and pop it sporadically. It gets the skirts flairing and changes the profile of the lure and also the vibrations.
Probably ripping it out of grass.
Jon Katz yep
There is a lot of different ways to fish a cb. Popping it like that works really well it causes the skirt to pulse triggering a bite
This was right there in orange park at whitey's fish camp
What minute mark?
#respect #legend
my cousin caught an 8 and a 13 on back to back cast on st.johns
G Hack boat flip @ 15:00 #BassNoodlin
Ain’t no drug better than that. That’s the gods honest truth right there......
Seconds 26-33....#EPIC #YEZZUR
Scroggins looks like he’s fishing the exact shell bar cliff prince did in 2019
What! I live 25 min from palatka
Is9 five I live about an hour and 15 from palatka, that river can be brutal though.
In the end they spelt rick clunn's last name wrong and out 'cluun'
Good observation. Yep, at 43:19, somebody goofed.
What bait u got her with Greg H
I wish they had a tournament with no imaging or fish finders a true test of skill
Really doesn't play in this event. They're all fishing 2-5' of water.
if scott martin could land a fish like greg hackney he would damn near have as many wins as his daddy roland i have been watching some of scotts videos and it seems like every tournament he loses at least a couple
Hackney = FISH GOD
First lol. nice vid
hey you guys should tone down the music
Land the fish already Hackney! Not like LMB fight very hard.
bb3866 yeah but they can sure as hell spit a bait if they're not hooked very well and losing a big fish can cost you a lot of money at this level
Have you ever fished under tournament pressure? Its not like fishing for fun. Not even close.
I agree with clary carrier especially with all eyes on you. Have you ever caught anything over 7lbs not that easy most likely been caught before an they will do anything to get that hook out. Rub rocks, branches, shake, swim right at you to get tension off smarter than you think
Hackney loves to milk the camera shot with every catch...
Rightfully so
