I just got Pura X but I have a doubt, does the mat have to be used or is it possible to do without it?
The mat is there to reduce possible litter tracks. If you do not feel like using it, it is totally fine to just put it away.
Mine broke after 14 months. Out if warranty and cant use it- unless keep it and still have to scoop from now on. Common issue is the weight sensor that it erroneously identify cat is inside, even if it’s not. So it will not cycle/clean. Support is no help, no tutorials or parts replacement whatever if you want to repair it etc. well at least i have a very convenient life for 14months- $600 worth of convenience.
is the problem solved ? If it is resolved, what should be done?

my machine will not clean, reset, or level the litter. It keeps saying cat is in litter box when it is not. I’ve tried unplugging and nothing works. it keeps saying my cat is in the litter box. Please help!

ok I also bought this litter box, but disinfectant and bags, nobody sells them all over the web, only alibaba wholesale sells bags and liquid for large supplies ... where will you buy what you need?

My Pura X’s purifying liquid device stopped working. The sensor is always showing there is no liquid even when its full and and its not spraying anymore. Is there any diagnosis i could run?

How the heck do you add more litter???? I added more and it thought a fat cat was sitting in the box for 30 mins. Had to TAKE OUT the litter to get it to resume.

@@hollylongdo1140 Yes! You can turn off the notification for the purifying liquid in the app and use it without the odor removal device.
It seems the opening is small and the placement seems to be high, will be difficult for older cats to get in and out of. I wonder if design team never really asked the actual cat owners before designing. Also when the litter has to poured from that high, it kicks up a lot of dust, another thing the design team didn't think about. Overall, the bin is too small for the cats to freely move around inside, may be good for smaller cats in Asia but not great for big American cats. Also when the cat has to jump out from that high, they don't jump on the mat below but a bit beyond the mat so they track litter all over.
I have a 6.5kg cat and he uses it without any of your concerns. Good suggestions anyway
You can get a ladder
Dust isn't a problem; it's not that big a drop. If you're pouring it from a smaller bag like the one in the video, it's fine. That's about the same size as the bags of litter I get here in Costco. As for "American cats", cats are roughly the same size everywhere. My American cats are 5kg (11 lb) and fit just fine. And no, they don't miss the mat at all, the mat is huge.
Update: after more than a week of usage, I'm finding the cats have taken to the Pura X well, and the mat is actually very effective at capturing litter and reducing the amount of litter they track around the house.

I think this is a japan only item. If you live in the usa you might not be able to buy the Pura X
