Thanks for watching! Have you tried the Petkit Pura X? Did you experience any sensor malfunctions or issues with customer support? Does your cat like using it? Let us know in the comments!
I have both the Pura X and Litter Robot Connect 3. I know you talked about, but the sensor issue makes this thing useless. For my unit, at least once a day I have to manually turn it on and off to get it to cycle. It gets stuck constantly thinking that a cat is in the way of a sensor; it is way too sensitive. With the Litter Robot, I've never had this issue; it just works. I really wanted to like the Pura X since it does look nicer, but overall it just doesn't work and it hasn't been worth it.
@@BigBoyJay_69 Interesting. I own the Pura Max, and it never has issues. Maybe you got a defective unit? I also heard that the Chinese version sold in China, is different from the version they sell in the US and EU, if you don't buy the Petkit Pura from the correct website, that might be why yours is all messed up? It might also be because I have the newer version, so maybe the Pura X just had problems, idk lol
I have two pura X and they both work great. Never had a single problem. I use one for my boy and one for my two girls. They love the box and we do too. I always sprinkle the arm and hammer deodorizing powder in the bag. That way it’s not directly in the litter.
This is what reviews should be like. Not some over energized person shouting and trying to be clever. I'm not looking at product reviews for entertainment just thorough, factual and unbiased facts demonstrated directly. Good job.

Your reviews are actual reviews and not biased sponsored content, which I wholeheartedly appreciate. Also, your constructive criticism and suggestions for the company are on point. I've been using 2 Litter-Robot 3 Open Air with Connect - one for 3.5 and another for 4 years - and I've been generally happy with them. Sometimes, they don't rotate even when a cat has gone, so I manually hit the rotate button; this isn't a huge issue unless I'm on vacation or out of the house for an extended period of time. Also, it regularly tells me the litter box is full when it isn't - if I simply shake it a bit and level up the litter box, the censor will then know it isn't full, and I can get a couple more days of filling up before I actually have to change the litter box. I recommended the Litter-Robot 3 Open Air with Connect to 2 friends, and they both have had major issues with their products, unfortunately, even after reaching out to support multiple times.
@@lol_lipop5466 The Litter-Robot 3 is really loud, unfortunately. I used to have it in my bedroom, but it would sometimes wake me up, and I'm a heavy sleeper.
You pretty much listed out all the pros/cons with it. I have this unit and used it for about year and half. When I bought it, only litter robot was the comparable competitor. My cat loved it from the day one and never had issues. I did however had the weight sensor error after 6 months but Petkit customer service was excellent and sent me a replacement. I do highly recommend it specially over the litter bot because litter bot is hard to hide and cats are intermediated by it (loud and runs when the cat is next to it). Only thing I didn't like about PURA X was the journey to find a appropriate litter. Only recently I discovered Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal stuff. Works marvelously and tend to not get anything stuck to the unit so that means you don't have to clean as often. I find the fill sensor is inaccurate as well but I never had issues with it since I emptied out weekly basis for a single cat. Just stick to a schedule, you wont have issues. As a final note, It's expensive but solves lot of issues. Specially if you live in a smaller place and want the litter box to be hidden without the smell.
They sell refurbished versions on their website. It goes out of stock real quick! $275 for a Petkit Pura X. Been using a refurbished one for a month now and no problems.
I'm so glad you reviewed this! Would you be open to also reviewing the Pura Max, the updated version of the Pura X, and maybe even a doing a comparison video when the Max releases in April? How quiet was the Pura X?
I don’t have the X ,but We got the max on Us Amazon, delivered on the next day! We have 3 cats from 7 lbs to 13.9lbs. This is our first automatic litter box. It’s almost 2 weeks since we got it. So far so good. It’s quite , you can’t hear it from the next room. When you are right next to it , it has some sounds from machine rollling, and cat litter moving around - that’s all.
Pura max is already out and in fact we got two in our house 😻 If you’re thinking between the two, definitely get the Max, price difference is little and the improvement was worth it. I wasn’t a big fan of pura X after trying it for 2 months, mainly due to smell issues. This is because pura X tray didn’t have any lid like pura max. It’s been humid where I am, and it reeked within 2-3 days, which beats the whole purpose imo.
I do have this robot in use since about a year now and both of my cats love it. Never had any problems so far. I was building a wood box all around it with a cat door and at the inside i've installed a little light, a step and a carpet, so nothing gets into the flat. I just have to clean it all 10 days (I just check it here and there and pass over with a rag) what is great. I tested a lot of litters, automatic cleaning intervals and so on, but at the end the best result came with fixed cleaning times. In my case, 7AM and 19PM was enough.
Hey just wanted to give you all some super simple ways to prevent the issues she shows. 1) put a little step stool in front of it, like the small plastic ones for infront of a potty for a toddler, 1 small single step. This completely changes the dynamic for the cats getting in and out, and all the sensors still work. 2) change the automated cleaning to be 15+ minutes after the machine senses the cat did their deed. This allows the litter to absorb and clump more of the liquid or mess. It was clear to me that the reviewer had the cycles too soon because of the wet kitty litter residue in the barrel, and how fresh/wet and raw some of her clumps in the trash appeared. 3)Note, I suspect fixing 1 and 2 also prevents a majority of the "mess in the gap and cats going in the front. I have had zero instances of my cat going in the front and no mess below the barrel. 4) you're putting way too much litter in this thing, way above the full line. It was obvious in the video. Note #3 above would also be mitigated some by this. Also if you don't first empty the tray of all the poop and pee clumps, you're by default adding more to the containers volume.. So when you run the "full empty" cycle of course it overfill the garbage tray. 5) literally with 2 easy steps you can pop the grate out and clean it, and taking the barrel out is stupid simple. I just pop it out (take lid off, unlock, lift out) and take it outside to spray down with the hose, spray cleaner inside and wait a few, then rinse it again. Takes under 5 minutes to clean. Wipe it completely dry with a clean old bath towel (easy to throw in the wash - its just a cleaning towel and the barrel was already sterilized first), and pop it into the machine, lock it, put lid on, done. IMPORTANT: because I put the right amount of liter inside, and I set it to 15 minutes for the clean cycle to run after kitty use, the barrel stays incredibly clean. I could get away with only doing this once a month, but I do it twice a month since it is so easy. Note, I have not had to clean "below the barrel" once. I really think the issue with that is a combination of all of the above being addressed differently by the user 😅 and the behavior of the cats themselves. I love the review videos and all the discussion. But, there are some pretty common sense things that were obviously missed by the reviewer and I hope everyone considers my above notes when deciding on their purchase. That said, if you have a big cat with a lot of fur, the size is likely less than ideal. I have a DSH cat under 10 pounds and she loves it. After she goes she comes back to wait for it to do the clean cycle and she watches it and purrs. She goes back in just to see it is clean and comes right back out happy with vocal meows of approval its hilarious 🤣 Now, I got it on Amazon for $500. And at the end of the day all these mechanical litter boxes come down to, how much can you afford to pay, and are you willing to pay, to skip manual scooping every day? I am fortunate to be able to afford it, but I would assume for the average consumer manual scooping is just fine 🙂 . Don't forget, over time this pays for itself.. you will use WAY LESS litter, the other thing is when you account for my notes above, this is much cleaner than a manually scooped box. Your cats paws and your floors will thank you for the investment. Edit: formating
Personally I always think automatic litter boxes sound a good idea in theory but not so in real life. Thank you for a great review though, which are always very thorough and well researched.
After about 3 weeks both our cats started using the Pura X regularly. At one time my app didn't connect anymore and support quickly responded to tell they were doing an update. The day after it worked again. So at the moment we are pretty happy with the Pura X.
Edit: A few weeks after this comment, I was lucky enough to get a second Pura X for free, and this one has worked fine so far. The difference we noticed is that the new one has a different power outlet. The output is 12V 2A. Our old Pura X had a power outlet with an output of only 12V 1A. I bought my first one second hand, so I can't say if the power outlet I received was original. The second one seems to be an original power outlet since the person I got it from received it with a small crack (still works fine), and received a full refund for it, so less of an incentive to keep any original accessories (just a hunch). If you are having the same issues I described earlier, I would check the power outlet and make sure it has an output of 12V 2A. This second Pura X has been working great so far. But it also might just be because it's new. I contacted Petkit about a new power outlet, and it costs $12.99. Not sure how fast shipping is since they said it would be coming from China.
Well, I can see it's too small for my cats. I've never seen a self-cleaning box they wouldn't poo over the edge of because of their length. Grateful for the good info that saves me doing all this research.
I've been using the petkit pura x with my two sphynx cats for the last seven month now. I'm really glad that I decided to buy it. My cats used it without any hesitation from the first day on but then again they are pretty small.
As always, an informative, in-depth comprehensive review. And as I am a Litter Robot Connect fanboy, this was a reassuring review to see! I thought the price I paid for my Litter Robot was astronomical but the Pura X is !!! for the wallet. Is it nice to have the settings such as cat weight and usage stats? Probably, but I solved the "who is using the robot" question for our cats by pointing a Nest cam at it so we have a visual record of cat usage. For this amount of money, this thing *should* be just about perfect, and clearly it's not. Especially worrisome is the small opening and smaller interior space than my Litter Robot. And that gap up front that allows waste to fall through? Unforgivable at this price point.
Thank you so much for all your research! Your Chanel is the best - well researched, reliable and honest. Honest reviews are very rare nowadays. Thank you from our furry babies - Toto, Tiger and Pinki 😊😻😻😻
Thanks for the honest assessment. I personally don’t understand the appeal of automatic litter boxes. Between the high upfront cost, the difficulty of getting cats to adjust to a small, loud, fully concealed unit, there are the regular maintenance issues. I mean, you still have to empty the waste, just as you do with a normal litter box, although admittedly less often (ie. Once every 2-3 days vs. 1-2 times per day). BUT, you also have to perform machine cleaning that is much more detailed than a regular litter box. Finally, there is the issue of reliability as they all seem to have quality issues. I’ll stick with a regular litter box and use that $600 towards cat treats, toys and furniture.
I own 2 pura x actually. Both of the perfume dispensers stopped working a few months after my purchase . But I don’t mind because it’s not very efficient for odor control and it costs a lung per month ! But I love petkit pura x. Very nice design. To follow the cats it miss a chip reader instead to follow by the weight. Because if you have two cats with the same weight you will get mistakes of identification. The customer service is very helpful. Like I said before, I had a problem with my perfume dispensers. For my first pura x, they sent me an entire new device ! That’s why I have two !!
From the company, I think the PetKit Pura Max might be the better solution compared to the X. The max has a bigger opening and is lower to the ground. It is more pricy, but cheaper in Australia than the Litter Robot 3.
Yesterday we got a demo unit at 1/3 of the retail price. Only used with some water and fake poo at a show. Our bigger cat (9kg, a bit heavier that the recommended max weight of 8kg) went in first and used it to pee, didn't seem scared at all. The cats were a bit startled by the cleaning procedure, bot nothing bad. In the early morning the smaller cat went into it according to the app. When we came downstairs this morning, the bigger cat seemed very scared (no idea why, he wasn't scared before ...), hasn't used it since and poo'd on the floor. The smaller cat used it again, but poo'd on the edge, where the gap is ... very messy indeed. Let's hope she finds a better position to use the toilet🤞 The only downside seems to be the small size, otherwize it seems to function great, not that much noise when it's doing a cleaning procedure. The app also looks nice and is informative.
Our smaller cat has used it a few more times already, and she's positioned correctly, so no more mess 😊 Our bigger cat is still scared and did not use it anymore. It's as if he thinks there is living something underneath the toilet.
The odor removal spray is battery operated and Bluetooth. So I keep mine on a shelf outside the litter box. This way I still get some odor control without putting a lot of scent in the litter which could upset my cat's nose. I have the Pura Max.
at least if my cats don't like to use it, i could tell everyone that the Petkit Pura X is a fancy looking washing machine :) P.S. I've been thinking of cat-related gifts that I can give to people for the holidays or really just whenever. In the past I've printed out some photos of my cats and made them into cards and such. Maybe I could do something with their paws like a little cat signature? This idea just came up when I woke up today, but I thought it would be an interesting video if there was a "Top 5 gifts your cats could give to hoomans" type of thing! Ya know? Something that involves the owners cat specifically. Thank you for everything, Mallory :D
Great honest review, Thank you for the heads up Ill stick to my XL huge entrance regular litter boxes, for the price its not worth the headaches of the malfunction and customer support. I wont be buying it.
Thanks for the review. This automatic option would be good with a cat door door so your cats aren't perching themselves in the doorway and pooing. I still think the Catit SmartSift Cat Litter Box is one of the best although you have to manually pull the lever it's a very simple solution, used with clumping soil it's clean and low cost.
I love your reviews! I’d love if you could review fish oil brands/types and cat wipes. I’ve just adopted a kitten and it’s so hard to go through brands and figure out which is the best!
Thank you so much for doing this review, so helfulf! I have been looking forward to seeing it and when I saw the notification that you posted it was i was excited to watch. Overall I still think my liter robot 3 connect is a better choice for my 3 medium sized cats? What's your opinion?
can you review the PETKIT PURA MAX the enhanced version of this litter box as not many people reviewed it the way you do? It had a bigger entrance too :D
Great review, as always! I have a question for Mallory or anyone who has used this litter box.... Aren't the grate's "holes" too big? Using an average clumping clay litter, sometimes my cats will break some "peepe" balls, and it looks like those loose crumbles would pass through the grate with the clean litter. When I scoop muy regular litterbox I make sure I throw away those little crumbles. I would be very frustrated if I paid +$500 and have a litter full of dirty crumbles I imagine the large holes were designed so that people could use a clumping pine pellet litter, but it's a problem for regular cumpling clay litter. I think petkit should maybe include two interchangeable, differently-sized grates
Yes, the holes are on the larger side, so you will see some crumbles remaining. If only there was a great rotating sitting box with a Litter Lifter-like grate!
Same here. It definitely looks like the better option. I wish Malory was able to review the max instead. Lots of the reviews look paid for by petkit. At least I can trust her to give legit experiences.
Hey folks. I was using the Litter Robot 3 connect for the last year and was very disappointed by the loud noise it makes and the way it dumps everything on one site of the deposit tray. Many sensor problems when not positioning the trash bag correct in the tray, or the unit just stoping mid-cycle for no reason so only a restart helped. Also the smell is really bad because the tray is very badly sealed. I now have the Petkit Pura Max, and it is really a gamechanger for me. The app is really good, you have many options. We have two 10 month old Ragdolls (about 12 pounds each) and the space inside the globe is big enough (the volume I think is less than the Litter Robot 3, but that’s the only downside in comparison) The trash is super sealed by a lid, you can’t really smell anything until you open the bin. I’m rly looking forward to your review of the Pura Max :)
Thank you for that thorough review, as always! For that price, I would ask for it to be wayyy bigger on the inside.... I get that automatic litter boxes take a lot of space, so a bigger litter tray would mean a huge device, but it is so small..... And at that price point I would ask for a microchip reader - if it has it, sorry, I missed it on the video. What's the point of knowing that 'a' cat went in to pee if you don't know who it was? How do you track when one cat is going more/less frequently to the litter box? The same with the weight. I would say those are two of its biggest flaws, based on your review... specially when you're buying such an expensive item Thanks Mallory!
It seems that the more "automatic" these get, the more problems and the smaller they are.. For me, at that price I would expect it to take the litter out to he trash. These certainly are not for senior cats who usually have arthritis and would never be able to get in or out of one of these things. I still prefer a basic metal pan with low sides for my old gal. Thanks for the video.
My 14 pound ragdoll cat won’t go in it. I miss the step I had with the litter robot and the more roomy opening and interior. I will continue to try to get her to use it.
It works as advertised but I would not purchase. I am taking care of my daughters cats for a few months for her. I was surprised how much work this thing is. We have 2 male cats. I was using okocat litter and switched to pet kit cat litter. It still gets so gross. I take it outside to clean and hose down. I don’t know what people do that live in an apartment! If it were me, I would do more research and don’t pick this one.
$600 is a lot of money. Rather than emptying a tray more frequently, it looks like you have a larger clean a little less often. I know my cat likes the plain, traditional litter box and, with one cat, it's not too much work. I'd need a particular set of circumstances to make this seem worthwhile. Also, I just realised, it looks like a little washing machine sitting behind you there!🤭
how do you top up the litter without it dumping the extra litter into the used litter pan? I’m used to litter robot and throwing in a fresh cup a day to keep levels correct
I just got this litter box (Purax) & I hate that I can't remove the mat. I only have 1 cat and he pees in the same spot all the time. I do a full cylinder cleaning once a month but it still smells. What is everyone using for liquid to clean? Just soap and water?
I would recommend the Litter-Robot 4 over the Petkit Pura X. It has a larger waste drawer, contains waste more effectively around the globe, and, especially with the new larger entryway, it's much more cat-friendly than the Petkit Pura X.
We have 3 big cats. The largest is about 20lbs. We have 2 litter robots. One is a version 2 and the other is a version 3. Unfortunately, our 20lb cat is a diabetic. He drinks a lot of water and pees very often in large quantities. With this in mind, we have to empty out the drawers every single day-usually twice a day. So, after a few years with the litter robot, we’ve realized that given this situation, the litter robots just don’t hold up. We had purchased the extended warranty, but that runs out after 2 yrs or so. After 4 yrs, we’ve already had one of the units replaced, a circuit board replaced and now, they’ve completely broken down. So back to having to contact customer service and see what’s going to happen now. I had looked at this Pura, for alternative, but realized just from the photos and videos that it’s just way too small. There’s just no way this would work for us.
Would ya' lads be able to make a video about the best pet recovery suits? .o. we've been lookin' an have only been able to find one with a turtle neck that may work for are cat. we rushed him to the emergency vet a few days ago because he was an inside an outside cat an had gotten into a bad fight with another animal an had two holes on his neck an one hole on his paw. an he couldn't wear a cone because of were the two holes on his neck were, so we tried a turtle neck baby bib an had to cut the flappy part off an just keep the neck piece, gonna try an see if a baby head band may work better for'em. Were not lettin' him outside anymore, an we pray that he gets better an has a speedy recovery an after he takes it easy for a bit were gonna get him fixed.
WARNING: New information I got last night from the support number person (turns out she is just a warehouse worker for several companies). PetKit does not have any locations in USA, they are in China so support in eh! That is why no physical address is anywhere on the website...The support number you call is just a regular warehouse for many products. I think the warehouse is in Florida and the person who answers the phone is a warehouse worker who just forwards your issue by email to China. So, for two weeks now I have bee trying to get a refund...they will not refund but they now want to send me a new unit. Anyone who is even remotely thinking about getting one of these, I hope you take my post seriously and find another product! A known issue with the box is the liner in the bottom of the drum...a cats claw can rip it to shreds and then urine will just pool in the base unit. You will never find it until you take the drum off the base....then there is the issue of it just freezing up and the list goes on and on.
I think you just had a bad experience. My machine is great. None of my cats have clawed through the rubber liner on mine. Seems pretty thick and durable to me.
I like the square sleek exterior but the inside looks way too small for an average cat. I have the litter robot and the grate on there is definitely smaller than the Pet Kit however I think even the litter robot grate should be smaller. You can tell that quite a few of the bigger dirty litter pieces didn't cycle through and I'm sure over time that would start to smell. The weight feature is cool on this as the litter robot doesn't have that. Thanks for the review!
Can you please use the international system metric scale too for the rest of the world, in the future? Most of the planet use it and i don't understand why, in 2022, we don't have a unified measurement system all over the world. But you're not helping
Thanks for the suggestion. I have gone back and forth on this, sometimes using metric in addition to imperial measurements, but it's an old habit and hard to break. Comments like this are a good reminder of how important it is.
I love your videos so much very informative, you truly care about animals can’t wait for more content 🥰 I have one question if you don’t mind me asking I really don’t want to get rid of my cat but she keep licking them bitting her fur off she has a couple patches of hair missing I was wondering what can I do about this because I know theirs a solution to this I just didn’t find it she is also allergic to fleas I can also send you pictures of this anything would help plz and thanks in advance much love ❤️
Just watched it loose a lot of cat litter that was good, prob go through lot of litter, also the grate inside is just another thing to clean, not impressed with smart phone nonsense either,
This or the litter robot 3 connect? Which is better overall?Planning to get a automatic litterbox but stuck between the litter robot 3, pura x and leo loos too.
@@debbiesurman7166 I just checked the price on Amazon UK just now. It's £599. I'm looking to get an automatic litter box. The Pura Max would certainly fit better in my house as it is more compact than the Litter Robot 3 (which is actually cheaper) but the thing that puts me off is customer service doesn't seem to be good. I also noticed there are no reviews on Amazon UK so either it's really new on the market or people are not buying it - probably because it is so expensive. Perhaps Petkit should look at making another model that doesn't need WiFi and an app to operate. I don't see the need to know how long my cats spend in the litter box. I have some that are in and out quickly and a couple who have to make sure every bit of their business is covered and if they're not satisfied will come back and cover it again. As for weight, I know how heavy my cats are. If they cut out most of that stuff, they could probably knock between £100 and £150 off the price.
Thanks for watching! Have you tried the Petkit Pura X? Did you experience any sensor malfunctions or issues with customer support? Does your cat like using it? Let us know in the comments!

So far so good. It’s quite , you can’t hear it from the next room. When you are right next to it , it has some sounds from machine rollling, and cat litter moving around - that’s all.
@@koheiwa would you be so kind as to BLESS ME with an update? 😅
Pura max is already out and in fact we got two in our house 😻
If you’re thinking between the two, definitely get the Max, price difference is little and the improvement was worth it.
She goes back in just to see it is clean and comes right back out happy with vocal meows of approval its hilarious 🤣
Now, I got it on Amazon for $500.
Woohoo! Been waiting for this one. Didn't disappoint! Thank you!
After about 3 weeks both our cats started using the Pura X regularly. At one time my app didn't connect anymore and support quickly responded to tell they were doing an update. The day after it worked again. So at the moment we are pretty happy with the Pura X.
I have the Arm and Hammer litter box that has two trays and a middle filter and we LOVE it! 17.99 Amazon. Absolutely love it
I have both the Pura X and Litter Robot Connect 3.
Excellent and thorough review as usual. I appreciate the work you put into these videos.
Well, I can see it's too small for my cats. I've never seen a self-cleaning box they wouldn't poo over the edge of because of their length. Grateful for the good info that saves me doing all this research.
love love love your content!
Thanks, Jake! I'm glad you like it.
I've been using the petkit pura x with my two sphynx cats for the last seven month now. I'm really glad that I decided to buy it. My cats used it without any hesitation from the first day on but then again they are pretty small.
Thankyou for doing this!!
I use pine pellets and have always used pine but I still watch all your automatic litter box videos xD
I think pura x is better than litter robot, from my experience, I love pura x.
You are so thorough and it is a huge help for consumers.....ty! Excellent and honest.
Thank you for the kind words! Glad it was helpful.
Nice. Was waiting for this. Looking forward to Pura Max as well....
I always love your videos. They're so informative
We just got this and are getting ready to put it in action. I joked to the wife that we’ll have to keep the clothes dryer closed from now on. LOL
Exactly! Hope it works for you!
From the company, I think the PetKit Pura Max might be the better solution compared to the X. The max has a bigger opening and is lower to the ground. It is more pricy, but cheaper in Australia than the Litter Robot 3.
Thanks for making this video. I've been seeing the Pura x online and always wondered how it compared to the litter robot.
Let's hope she finds a better position to use the toilet🤞
The only downside seems to be the small size, otherwize it seems to function great, not that much noise when it's doing a cleaning procedure. The app also looks nice and is informative.
Our smaller cat has used it a few more times already, and she's positioned correctly, so no more mess 😊
Our bigger cat is still scared and did not use it anymore. It's as if he thinks there is living something underneath the toilet.
Awesome review!!
The odor removal spray is battery operated and Bluetooth. So I keep mine on a shelf outside the litter box. This way I still get some odor control without putting a lot of scent in the litter which could upset my cat's nose. I have the Pura Max.
How do you like the max version? I’m waiting for some reviews before ordering one
My neighbor just set this out and it works. Hey free 99 is nice plus has all the accessories
at least if my cats don't like to use it, i could tell everyone that the Petkit Pura X is a fancy looking washing machine :)
Whooo glad you made this video!!!!
Would love a video of the new Pura Max to see if any of the problems were addressed with the new model.
Good points, Kirsten. Thanks for sharing!
In China, this one would be much cheaper around USD180.
Would love to see a review on the Pura Max the new version!
I would be very frustrated if I paid +$500 and have a litter full of dirty crumbles
I imagine the large holes were designed so that people could use a clumping pine pellet litter, but it's a problem for regular cumpling clay litter. I think petkit should maybe include two interchangeable, differently-sized grates
Yes, the holes are on the larger side, so you will see some crumbles remaining. If only there was a great rotating sitting box with a Litter Lifter-like grate!
@@AllAboutCatsYT thanks Mallory! That I think is a big drawback, these crumbles make all the litter dirty faster….
I'm really interested in the next one up, the PuraKit Max - it's supposed to have a bigger interior, lower entrance point, and bigger entrance.
Same here. It definitely looks like the better option. I wish Malory was able to review the max instead. Lots of the reviews look paid for by petkit. At least I can trust her to give legit experiences.
Will look into the Max soon! Thanks.
We have two 10 month old Ragdolls (about 12 pounds each) and the space inside the globe is big enough (the volume I think is less than the Litter Robot 3, but that’s the only downside in comparison)
The trash is super sealed by a lid, you can’t really smell anything until you open the bin.
I’m rly looking forward to your review of the Pura Max :)
Please do petkit pura MAX!!!
I would say those are two of its biggest flaws, based on your review... specially when you're buying such an expensive item
Thanks Mallory!
Any opinions on another automatic litter box called Choubox? Seems pretty promising to me and it would be great to seem a thorough review here 👌
We haven't reviewed it yet, but we have our eyes on it!
I would love to have a review for the PETJC Pro III
Are you going to review the Pura Max?
I've thought about the updated version on this. Any chance you will review that one?
For $500 I'm looking at "The Litter Robot" I have two and love it I just need a litterbox that is smaller for hotels and kittens. Simple; temporary
If you use the elevated litter traping mat that you can buy separately or in a pack the entrance isn't as bad
$600 is a lot of money. Rather than emptying a tray more frequently, it looks like you have a larger clean a little less often. I know my cat likes the plain, traditional litter box and, with one cat, it's not too much work. I'd need a particular set of circumstances to make this seem worthwhile. Also, I just realised, it looks like a little washing machine sitting behind you there!🤭
Just bought this and the odorizer spray doesn't seem to be working....I cannot smell it or hear it spray
how do you top up the litter without it dumping the extra litter into the used litter pan? I’m used to litter robot and throwing in a fresh cup a day to keep levels correct
Hi, I'm wondering does it make loud noise? Would like to get one after seeing your video, but i can only put it in my bedroom 😭
No, it's pretty quiet!
I’m curious what you think the best automatic litter box is for ~big bois?~
Anything opened, not covered. PetSafe ScoopFree would be my top pick.
We lost our charging cord what is the amperage for the 12v charging cord?
do you plan on reviewing the pura max?
Yes!
i just got this litter box. and i’m so confused on how to put the filter in
I just bought this but I’m having difficulty connecting it to my Wi-Fi- any ideas how to fix this ?
I just got this litter box (Purax) & I hate that I can't remove the mat. I only have 1 cat and he pees in the same spot all the time. I do a full cylinder cleaning once a month but it still smells. What is everyone using for liquid to clean? Just soap and water?
Can you please have a look at the pura max too? :)
Planning on it!
Hi.. can you review Pet JC PRO auto litter too?
can you please test the pura max version? i have larger cats and would like to know if its worth buying
Yes! It's on the list.
Hello. Thank you for the review! I have a big cat (british short hair 5kg an a pretty long body) do you think he will fit inside tho box?
Thank you!
How do you think Petkit compares with the Litter Robot 4? Which one would you recommend?
Check out their larger max version.
Can you delay the clean? Good with skoon (lime) litter? How good is it with pee?
lol the thumbnail XD .
My issue is we like crystal litter but I’m worried that these expensive litter box won’t work correctly with it
It's a good point. Crystal litter works well in the ScoopFree, but it's not the best match for rotating litter boxes like this.
What did you think of the PetKit Pura Max? it seems a bit bigger than this one
Hey Elizabeth, finally released a review of the Pura Max: ruclips.net/video/B4lNzVIx8W8/видео.html
I think I’ll stick to my open lid litter box and pine pellets. Wont go back to clay litter.
If Wesie were human he would be running his own laboratory somewhere. He seems so open minded to change and experimentation.
I’m about to get an automatic litter, which do you prefer for easiest maintenance and no scent because I work a 9-5 and have no time
Can you please use the international system metric scale too for the rest of the world, in the future?
Take her to the vet, she needs a treatment!
@@barhernan153 yeah we did thank you
It’s a Chinese company and they are selling 290usd in China
Ah….. really tired of fixing all the different parts of the litter robot 3, but I could not find a better alternative.
Looks like it would have the same issues that the Litter Robot 3 has....
What is the best litter to choose for this cat liter if I want to minimize my cat to carry all the sands around in the house.? :)
Hey Mallory
Thanks for another cool review,
Can you do a review on the cat food tiny tiger wet and dry
Just watched it loose a lot of cat litter that was good, prob go through lot of litter, also the grate inside is just another thing to clean, not impressed with smart phone nonsense either,
This or the litter robot 3 connect? Which is better overall?Planning to get a automatic litterbox but stuck between the litter robot 3, pura x and leo loos too.
Check out the pura max. It resolves most of her complaints here about the x
Could you review the Whole Foods cat food brand called Whole Paws?
Say hello to your cats for me! ❤
Done!
Owner over a year now. Litter tray is too small. Customer service is superb.
Thanks for sharing!
Good review, I think I’ll just get the max instead of this. I want my cat to be comfortable and me not smell it
I love the design of this automatic litter box but I think the cons are making me lean towards a litter robot
At $600 are u serious!!
That's £450 in English money!! Who in there right mind would pay that for a LITTER TRAY !!!
