Sometimes when I fell down and sad, I watch one of your videos. I don't know why, but your voice has a calming effect on me! I wish you well and all the luck in the world!

Sorry about the back but congrats on the move. We moved to CO a few years ago from the east. Best move ever! Definitely motivates you to stay active. You will still see people hiking here playing music without headphones though 🙄 Best of luck with your recovery.

Lol I take it you’ve seen the mount Washington video... Thanks though 🙏 I’m definitely looking forward to the move

If you have good PT, they will teach you new ways to move around: the proper way to get out of bed, the proper way to do most every kind of daily movement. and you basically have to re-learn all these things, and it will help immensely. I had serious back issues 20 years ago and I'll say one thing that really helped was good PT and also re-learning how to move around. Also, look into buying a back-rest to put behind you when you sit in a car. I have used a "back huggar" brand support and it has helped immensely. Good luck to you and hope you feel better.

Looking forward to the CO hiking videos after you recover. I went thru the same L herniation years ago. Tried PT, a series of Epidural corticosteroid shots and ended up needing surgery to correct it. You will be back on the trail soon enough putting out great content.

Thanks man! Yeah I’m really excited for CO. And thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully I won’t need surgery but the docs keep bringing up the epidural as a possible solution for the pain as well. I guess we’ll see how things progress. Thanks again for commenting!

Oh man, I’ve had herniated discs and sciatica before too. It’s roughhh. A good PT will do wonders for you. Hang in there, my friend. Looking forward to a day when you can get back out there.

I’ve been in your spot before. I’m sorry, it sucks. But I’m jealous you’re moving to CO! I was out there a couple years ago and I feel in love with the beauty. Good luck!

I've struggled with back injuries myself exacerbated for a lot of the same reasons. I'm rooting for you. Congratulations on the move, I grew up on LI and can't wait to retire and move upstate.

      @@FinerBub you should've been here 40 or 50 years ago...it was paradise

I bet! I actually saw an awesome documentary about Teddy Rosevelt and how a lot of his love for the outdoors came from growing up in Oyster Bay. There are definitely still a few nice spots that I’ve found during the short time I’ve lived here but yeah most areas kinda just feel over crowded

Exactly, there's still a lot of beautiful places along the South Shore but they're jammed. I'm done, heading north in a few years...but you can make money here.

I’m a musician and wanted to do it for a living and ultimately decided I would have more fun as a hobby. I can play what I want, when I want. If it was work it would be different and I wouldn’t enjoy it as much.
