Simon thank you so much! I stumbled upon you actually when I looking at an interviewer's LinkedIn and now I'm about 12 videos deep! I really needed the encouragement, I recently did an industry change, and breaking in has been disheartening. Listening to this video, when you stated to add "YET" to the end of these statements was huge! I repeated that out loud and immediately got emotional because it rang true in such a deep sense of my inner being. Thank you and you definitely have changed my mindset! Please keep creating these amazing videos, you are truly changing lives and providing people with much-needed hope!!
I thought the change in the homeless person's pitch was the payoff - it was insightful and invaluable. Had to rewatch it to realize it was changing the narrative to change the reality that was the point of the story. A two for one value. Thanks Simon!
well i always loved to be alone and isolated. But since, i started to watch Your videos and worked on my behavior i got some admiration from people I admire. God that feels really nice.☺ Thank you...
love self narration, such great observations, thank you Simon! How incredible it can be to make this knowledge much more spread across the globe in humans
This is good...however, the BLAST of music at the end was quite startling. I was driving, and totally into what Simon was saying, then the disproportionately loud music at the end took my breath away. Just a heads up.
C Fitzl Agreed. It was shocking, compared to the voice level of Simon. Simon & Co, please listen to this. Simon has such a captivating voice, and people are listening deeply.. it would bring back more listeners if we're not startled at the end of a video :-)
I came to the comments just to mention about how my narrative had changed when the bewildered sound at the end of this footage kicked me back into the present.
You're the man Simon!!! Love it brother, just sent a link to one of my favorite "non typical millennials". She was just in my office and had never heard of you. Now she knows...
Wow! That's awesome! Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 That's awesome! Congratulations! That's awesome 👏you are very amazing person ❤ thanks for sharing this amazing and valuable feelings with us..you are a beautiful soul ❤ you are unstoppable and unbreakable keep going and keep shining like a star 🌟 your way of speaking is so motivational in my opinion this way lots of people encourage and inspire from you .... you give lots of people to push out of comfort zone and try and feel new culture and language...I am very greatfull for your all kindness words and support ❤
Interestingly, when I decided to try be more optimistic, I naturally added the word "yet" to those descriptor sentences. I think these words are merely reflecting the mindset that we all have, it's just a matter of whether we choose to tap into the 'positive' mindset or the 'negative' one.
So clear, humourous & pertinent as always but can I suggest Simon cuts the label out of his shirt before he does his next presentation so that it doesn't drive him mad!
You're a crazy man, Simon. And when I say crest I mean, I adore you for it. There's some raw passion in your words, actions and the way you present your ideas. Thank you dearly for this video and please upload more regularly (and short, I really like that factor). Is the word narrative which you use here, the same idea as "attitude" "mindset" ? The word narrative feels a little like complex, i would really appreciate if you could explain this. Thank you :) Love your work, looking forward to meeting you soon.
My first look at Simon and I absolutely hated the guy, I thought he was lip service for project managers with the usual empty speel. Man how wrong was I....
Sir, This is a college student from IINDIA. Can you please make a video on what do college students do wrong and what are things they should know before which you would have wished to know before you passed college to succeed in life.
Nikunj Jain Really don't want to be disrespectful here. Please do double check your language when you comment. I'm confused by what you said over there, I had to read may be 3 times to actually get closer to what you were talking about.
Sounds like Carol Dweck's "growth mindset" with the college kids who had not passed getting a report card that, instead of saying "Failed", said "Not yet".
Amazing, I like your thoughts always focusing on others than US or MYSELF. I am building an FEW BUSINESSES IN INDIA and wonder whether you will be interested to put up a show in Mumbai, INDIA
Dear Simon, if you read this. Your message confuses me a little bit. If I'm a good seller I'm talking about you instead of me. But on the other side, you said, we should always talk about the why (our why). Which comes from our story. So am I supposed to speak about the why or about the customer?
Well, the way doesn't necessarily come from your story. I know Simon uses Apple a lot in his examples, and their Why is not exactly about Steve Wozniak's or Job's story. It's about challenging the status quo and being different. They're not saying "hey we're two guys who love technology and that's why we build computers". The Why also isn't only about Marketing tactics, it's about how you handle the business in general, how you can connect your why with your business purpose.
Orlando Morales it means you are willing to learn and improve yourself until you complete your goal. Aim for the stars hit the ceiling aim for the ceiling hit the floor. Hope this helps 😉
The lesson is that changing your narrative yields results. The change in narrative of the advertisement gave the homeless person more money, and if you change your narrative you can see results too
It tells the customer you will still be there and your not pretending to be something your not (a hobo). Breaking down barriers appealing to there compassionate side.. Hope this helps 😉
Just dont give up,,, be brave,, and you all not alone.. you are strong than you may think... Bad situation will passed awey,, and good situation will come. Be brave
Va m’enlever ces bandes dessinées tu as mis sur mon RUclips sans mon autorisation. J’ai un autre homme dans ma vie. Ne te fatigue pas, je ne reviendrai pas Simon
One of my favorite narrative shifts is to change from "I have to" to "I get to". This has truly increased my happiness with this shift in perspective.

You are a gardener of souls, thankyou for tending to mine.
You are medicine, thankyou for the dispensation.
All the best. I'm a disciple now.
'yet' is now my favourite word, thank you mr. simon for your motivational words
well i always loved to be alone and isolated. But since, i started to watch Your videos and worked on my behavior i got some admiration from people I admire.
God that feels really nice.☺
Thank you...
Geez Simon, you’re talks are always great
talk about articulation mastered, I really enjoyed that lesson !!
wow.... This is remarkably simple, yet I only grasped it by watching this lecture!
love self narration, such great observations, thank you Simon! How incredible it can be to make this knowledge much more spread across the globe in humans

Simon is good to listen to!

Legendary as always Simon!
You're the man Simon!!! Love it brother, just sent a link to one of my favorite "non typical millennials". She was just in my office and had never heard of you. Now she knows...
Thanks Simon. That's all I can say! Thanks!
looooove the # loooove it! We are looking for our WHY here in Paraguay Simon! Keep going the way you're going!
Something else Simon said that "will" change my life. Thank you.
Gav!!!
I bought your Start with Why book and I'm up to page 52, and I must tell you I LOVE it!
Thomas Chow the audible version is awesome
My only complaint about Start with Why was how incredibly redundant it was. That book could've been probably half the length.
Great lesson. Thank for sharing this
I LOVE this.....! "Yet"
OMFG! It's soooo genius! I love it! I really will use it daily for my brain washing. 10/10!
Daily Brainwashing LOL
simon you are such a blessing in this world
thanks for english subtitles
and video!
Who said ruminating on apparent minutia

Awesome on so many levels !
This is brilliance.
Omg . Sir. U r incredible.
GENIUS!
Now that was a good video!
So clear, humourous & pertinent as always but can I suggest Simon cuts the label out of his shirt before he does his next presentation so that it doesn't drive him mad!

Love your work, looking forward to meeting you soon.
My understanding was like: the story you tell yourself. In your head. Which of course then filters your actions attitude et
I wonder why had I not subscribed to your channel YET!
My first look at Simon and I absolutely hated the guy, I thought he was lip service for project managers with the usual empty speel. Man how wrong was I....
yes, i dont know why he has an aura like that. but he makes sense.
Man..you're so convincing
I wanna change my narrative ❤️🙏 thanks Simon
Have you done so yet?
@@TheVibeMindset yes I am now focus on becoming a better version of me thank you stay safe .
I’m not married to Simon Sinek...yet. Is it working??!!
Thats what I'm going to say!! 😂
I think I have a huge crush on him
LOL
Enigma The INFJ his such a cutie 😍 with a brilliant mind
I think it's a form of admiration. I also have a crush on him lol
You tell me ...
Greetings from Moldova!
I don't know how...YET!. I don't have enough money for that...YET!I don't have a degree...YET!😃👍
how does this guy not have millions of subscribers? He’s the most reasonable and honest “life coach”. Keep rockin as you are!
Because he doesn't want to inflate his numbers and only attract subs who want to keep it coming.
@@Skousen77 2 years later, I can relate to your comment.
I'm the 790th person to like your videos Simon.
I'm not that fast YET.
Powerful words
Unfortunately it is too much about the future, aspiring to something better, chasing, not about the now. The sign is great though, well done!
he's specifically talking about changing your narrative. he's not generalizing how to live your life there.
I challenge your thought. The "now" is the thought, feeling, or action you take immediately after your shift in narrative.
This guy is amazing..
YES he's. I've watched all of his videos on RUclips...

I'm gonna quit my job and make that sign
thanks
anybody know what song that was from at the end?
Yay!
Sounds like Carol Dweck's "growth mindset" with the college kids who had not passed getting a report card that, instead of saying "Failed", said "Not yet".
Can’t agree anymore
How could we change the homeless lady’s thinking? How could we make her comfortable with more money?
يسعد ربك يا زلمة.
*How to find your why???*
Pls make longer vídeos, those are to short to use them as a podcast
Does "starting with why" not clash with this? You have to talk about yourself to start with the why, right?
... or, Simon, the homeless woman didn’t want to spend any more time than she had to humiliating herself by begging on the street.
If you can think only once a month, think of me next time. I know you can't think of everybody. I'm legit. lol
my father knew whys like this from B4
The music at the end made me deaf
Amazing, I like your thoughts always focusing on others than US or MYSELF.
I am building an FEW BUSINESSES IN INDIA and wonder whether you will be interested to put up a show in Mumbai, INDIA
What about his body language, anybody who can interpret that? From Lie to Me I know all that means something.
did any one notice he tried to adjust his pants in all his videos?
I haven't got a job, yet.
Tejinder Singh Swaraj you will....
Iam not Simon sinek yet.

Can some 1 xplain me this better i dont get it with the example "yet" plz
Orlando Morales it means you are willing to learn and improve yourself until you complete your goal. Aim for the stars hit the ceiling aim for the ceiling hit the floor. Hope this helps 😉
ok, i gat that part. Another question. Why people will give more with the new add of the homeless? The add dosnt answe the 2 question.
Soz for asking too mucho im learning english.

I do not become him yet
This is carol dwecks mantra... is it not?
Such a smart lil hottie. Sorry, not sorry.
..if you only give once a month, please think of me next time..
its not about the seller, its about the giver.
marketing is all the same.
good marketing talk about the buyer, and bad marketing talk about the seller.
im not a good storyteller yet...
give your narravite a little word of hope or oppurtinity.. 'yet..'
I am stuck in BAD situation, would you mind to help me / advise me personally?
well, I'm not him..
(obviously lol) but i can help if you allow me
