Hi Dan, great video as always. Was wondering if you could sit down with GPRPy and do a software video on it. It’s one of if not the only open source free GPR softwares out there. I think it would be really helpful as an option for people who have GPR systems but don’t have the software. This is actually quite common in indigenous communities in Canada
Another awesome video Dan. I do like Ekko Project as a processing platform. Post-processing for utility location is not always asked for and sadly, often an extra expense clients don't want. Field set up if you don't have good GNSS capability adds extra time. Thanks as always for an informative session. Innes
Great video Dan! One thing we do improve the slice view is throw it into a Grid and process it as such. You will find it will process the data much better than line processing. We process probably 98% of our data as we are always looking for the unknown stuff. So much stuff can be missed with noisy data. We deal with gravel pads for the most part and can be pretty dirty with sand/rocks mixture!
No doubt. We do grids when possible. Again, in this case it was a search for the tank, which we totally saw in 2d, but tried to tease some nice images out of a quick lineslice go. Thanks so much for the comment and suggestion.
@@Learngpr I waqtched the video and just wanted a couple pointers and well, I picked up on how to carry a marker from screen to screen and some of the process settings. I have the software but I seruously need to learn how to move a rogue GPS mark because that short little GPS pole causes me to have GPS drop once in a while.
Hi Dan, Thanks for the great video! Have you ever used Prism2 software from Radar System? Recently I tried to create a 3D model using the Ekko Project, I exported the grid lines into HDF file and imported it into Voxler4 for the modelling, and I managed to create the model. However, I didn't manage to create the 3D model using Prism2 and Voxler4, which of course for EkkoProject I was using Noggin250, while for Prism2 I used Radarteam Cobra CBD. Would really appreciate if you can do a video about 3D modelling using GPR. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment. We can definitely make a video focusing on it. We would recommend gpr slice (which we sell and support) which can create 3d models with data collected from either instrument.
hi dan , iam huge fan of your learning videos , how i can get an course about interpretation of utilities , i usually use gpr 250 -700 mhz and gred hd , i really interested on have a course
Thanks for the question. Can you clarify "trowel data"? I like both of those software options. Ekko Project is great and user friendly, GPR Slice is great and comprehensive.
It would be great if you could record a video from scratch using rd3 or rd7 data in Ekko Project. I am evaluating this data in GPR slice. I wonder how it would be in Ekko Project?@@Learngpr
Hi Dan... how I can applied bandpass filter using ekko-project, meaning that if I have data collected by 250MHZ antenna and I want to apply bandpass filter on them, the option of bandpass filter has four variables in percentage and I confused which values are appropriate to apply in this option
@@Learngpr Thank you for answer! I have the same problem with REFLEXW. Also, Geolitix doesn't recognize svy format from DS2000. I'm in situation that I have Georadar, but don't have software to process the data 😂
Got it. You might have to unpack the data. The .svy file is a package of data. You will need the HD gred converter. I know there is a free version for download on the gpr slice website. Gpr-survey.com Right hand side on the tutorials tab. Good luck!

@@Learngpr Yes, I use GPR-slice and rSlicer. A few years ago, when at univ, I have used reflexw to process 2D gpr, and i know it has some very powerful tools that Dean's software doesn't have. But Dean's software has multicore capabilities, and it's so lovely! :D

Thanks Innes. It's a good one. The past few episodes were with gpr slice, shows some other datasets. GNSS helps so much
Thanks dan ..for your information

Oh, btw ... check out GPRCAD from MacLeod Simmonds in the UK if you haven't seen it already. That was where my GPR journey started back in 2012.
Haha. Will do. Hope all is well in NZ

This ekko project software only works with sensors and software.
DS2000 could use geolitix, gpr slice, or IQmaps
