Pitch your own next transformers movie, but done right!
TRANSFORMERS RISE OF THE BEASTS(2023)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), with less of Sam having these seizure events, Arcree and the female Autobots playing larger roles instead of their incidental appearances, Ravage (the feline decepticon) killed much earlier and The Fallen not being made the True real Leader of the Decepticons (Megatron is the REAL leader).
Just to make a movie series about the IDW comics; the first run, phase 1-3, and also maybe fix Arcee’s backstory to not be problematic.
Alright, Heres what I would as a director, a Four Chapter Story where Autobots are safe on Earth until the Decepticons find out where the Autobots are hiding and slowly start sending Decepticons from Cybertron to Earth. First Movie, Starscream and Soundwave are the main villains and they try to build a space bridge to teleport the entire Decepticon army to earth but the Autobots stop them. Second film, Megatron sends Shockwave to help Soundwave and Starscream Create a space bridge under the Ocean while the auto bots fight off Shockwave experiments and form bond with the Human military. Third film the deception space is built and Megatron arrives on Earth and battles prime in an epic where Prime is eventually killed. Fourth film Autobots come together to try to revive Prime, Destroy the decepticons and Revive Prime. There's a quick draft of my ideas
Transformers 1 2007
The parallel between Charlie’s dad dying of a heartatack and Charlie having to revive bee is really underrated
I heard people say that this is an adorable film and that Charlie and Bumblebee's friendship is cute.
Transformers isn’t supposed to be adorable smh
"Friendship" sure. I meand there was way more chemistry between her and bee than her and Memo
@@bombauntourage9369But they can, and it was good.
@@MK-sw7doofc it was good but just something about killer war machine robots from a planet called cybertron looking cute in live action lol just a preference
@@bombauntourage9369100% agree with you
From my understanding, this movie was originally planned as a prequel to Bay Transformers movies but then later just became a full reboot. Also, this movie was directed by Travis Knight, who directed Kubo and the Two Strings and produced Paranorman. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this is his first time directing a live action movie, which is impressive.
Yes, they decided after writing, but before shooting, that's this is a reboot. I'm so happy you said this lol. Bumblebee from the point of shooting was a reboot. Everyone I say this to denies it despite the interviews and articles 🙄. So many people are still like "but ROTB is conflicting with the bay movies"
As an animator who loves both animation and live action, this film is honestly right up there as one of my #1 faves! And with the director’s background in animation, it really helps to give the Transformers a lot more life, personality, and make you feel for these giant robots!
Fun fact: After this movie, Cliffjumper (the red bot cut in half) developed a stigma of being "the one that always dies" even though this was only the second time he's died since the franchise began.
And the moment Dropkick tosses Bee and he changes to a car and tackles him back is taken from the G1 opening.
The two main decepticons that bumblebee fights are known as triple changers. The first triple changer toys that debuted in 1985 were astrotrain and blitzwing, blitzwing being the one that removed bee’s voice
Astro train was the guy who carried the defeated decepticons off planet after the initial battle in the animated movie.
@@mattschliemann9683 exactly
I'm a fan from way back-I think the triple changers really shown in the comic book story with the scraplets, and then of course Octane's hilarious retelling of a battle he was in (I think that might have been in the UK only comics, so those guys in the States may not know of it) (In Canada, we could get both)
It's kinda such that we will never see a jet turn into a tank and land on a battlefield at mach speeds
The cybertron scenes always makes the biggest smile on my face!! They really nailed the design and respect the source materials. Love to see a Transformers movie with those visuals and with no human characters but the human characters in this movie are lovable especially Charlie and Bee friendship is really wholesome.
I'm just wondering why did they already have the vehicle form before going to Earth? I'm clueless about the lore, so were they already cars in Cybertron?
@@hazri8758they were cars or jets or some stuff inbetween but unique to the character they scan cars or other vehicles once they get to earth
@@hazri8758 Definitely check out the 2 games, they're both very similar to the intro of this film, vehicle forms and everything, and they're excellent games on their own
That Cybertron intro should hit James a lot different now that he's seen the '86 movie.
@@hazri8758 Yes Cybertronians can turn into vehicles on their home planet. It could either be land vehicles or air ones. The Decepticons that turn into airships are called Seekers. They build up most of the Decepticon army. Autobots are more known be cars, trucks, etc.
Yes, I love Charlie and Bee's friendship, plus the 80's nostalgia, which doesn't feel overdone. Who knew that a girl and her robot car could inspire so many feelings?! 😍
Totally agree!😅
Huge inspiration! Making a classic 80s style coming of age film about a kid and a sentient otherworldly character, (or even a group of friends of all ages, with different otherworldly characters) is on my bucket list, and this will be a huge inspiration for me!
Bumblebee is a really good transformers movie. I really like that its a more "modern" take of the E.T movie or trope. I especially like the designs until the bay films prior they arent overly design with bits and pieces moving around and you can actually tell who's who's during fight scenes. I really like the cybertron scene in the beginning makes me really hope we get a War for Cyberton movie directored by Travis Knight.
Fun fact : Dylan O'Brien did the voice of Bumblebee
Yup he’s from Teen Wolf and the Maze Runner films.
@@EChacon yeah two of my favorites
I also hope he comes back to voice him again in…
A crossover with Transformers and G.I. Joe
He's also in a film called American Assassin. First film I saw him in before the Maze Runner films.
@@gorlithia ooh same here man
It was confirmed that the Bumblebee movie was going to originally be a prequel but then they changed it to be a reboot
How many people felt as I did with that last shot of Bumblebee with the red tractor trailer. I felt it with a sense of pride for Bumblebee that he stuck through until he could secure a safe spot for the Autobots. Optimus entrusted him with the task. Now, he’s going with Optimus.
The Transformers franchise really needed a fresh new start after the brand was tainted by The Last Knight, and I can definitely say that Bumblebee is a great return to form!
Agreed
But then they ruin it by the newer film
@@iiiisssssaaaaaaccccccdid they fuck it was really good
exactly.
@@iiiisssssaaaaaacccccc No, they didn't.
The Cybertronians who could take two vehicle forms were known as Triple Changers, and are an ethnic minority of sorts amongst Transformers. One of the most notable Decepticon Triple Changers was actually Blitzwing, who was changed into a Seeker (Starscream's lot) for this film as the director seems to have mistaken his identity. Can't really compain about that though, because the attention he gave to everything else and the way he brought it to the live action screen was top tier.
25:37 in new lore, transformers are formed from their planet as dormant, liquid metal bodies that awaken and mature into a solid body under the right conditions called a protoform. also some comics have introduced the idea of mentors that are chosen to guide newly awakened transformers.
Yes, this is in fact the best live-action Transformers.
No doubt
No it's not the best, it's a shitty movie and overrated
100% This is the first live action film to actually feel like Transformers
@@No-ny3co cap
@@phantomhd7889 tell me you know nothing about this franchise without telling me you know nothing about this franchise
Bumblebee is THE best live action transformers movie. Travis Knight (the director) was a fan of the G1 series and it really shows. This movie has heart.
Not to mention it had a good balance on focusing on the Autobots and humans in this film, but mostly the former compared to the Michael Bay Transformers films which focus more heavily on the Humans.
Also the director for Bumblebee, Travis Knight is the CEO/Chairman of Laika and the director for _Kubo_
@AFuckingBird Do you have to act like this and disagreeing with others and just pressuring them including myself on why this film is any better!!?!
Just stop being so callous or better yet pressuring others with responses like what you’re doing.
How does a movie that barely has transformers in it considered the best because it has heart.
That’s like saying a nba team barely .500 not even a top 4 seed is winning the nba championship
@AFuckingBird You’re literally are a sad strange little man.
@AFuckingBird And if you’re going to act like what you’re doing acting so judgmental then literally you’re someone who isn’t being open and if you’re not going to say anything nice then don’t say nothing at all.
I like how they weren't afraid to go a bit meta and use The Touch on Bee's radio. The Touch is infamous for being used in Transformers The Movie (1986).
Shatter and Dropkick are a type of cybertronian known as triple changers, most of the time they have a ground vehicle and an air one, but they can be any kind of vehicle that they want that fits their frame or size, there's also transformers that can have even six modes, but they are really rare (Overlord and Sixshot are the most known).
I loved this movie, especially the Cybertron scenes. Hearing Soundwave's voice for the first time. Chills
@AFuckingBird It's better than most of the Bayverse movies
This film has more passion and heart into the making. Decepticon/Shatter and Dropkick are more recognizable, even though it doesn't have G1 design, its not grey copy and paste sharp metal crashing into each other just to make a bad guys design and they dont growl and grunts like previous movie and actually get decent screen time and character.
Human are written well enough. Bumblebee get enough screen time.
I grew up watching bayverse and just to watch the director and people making the movie not caring about the franchise itself. AOE and TLK is an example of that.
@AFuckingBird I never said that. I said it’s recognizable enough where it’s not a mess of junk pile of shit metal put together.
RoTF and DoTM has problem with copy and paste grey metal character . And AoE has problem with transformer not looking like it could transform, there’s barely vehicle kibble. I understand your point of it being more realistic approach but how come main character can have flashy car but why can’t the villain too?, I’m talking about more character design standing out look more and having more personality or lines especially side character.
RoTB villain group doesn’t even have G1 inspired look character besides night bird but at least we can tell what we’re looking at.
@AFuckingBird look at Optimus prime in AOE/TLK no kibble. Dude just look like a robot that doesn’t turn into anything. Design is dope as I’m robot mode but not a transformer imo.
I’m not trying to to convince you to agree with me, I’m simply giving my opinion.
damn a fcukin troll you go boi@AFuckingBird
All I want is a full movie that matches the opening sequence. No humans, just robots fighting
The Cybertron scene in this movie and Avatar way of water is proof Hollywood can make that movie
And Transformers One gonna be that animated movie.
Before Rise of the Beasts was released, I seized the opportunity to watch the Bumblebee film and my first impression of it was a positive one. I appreciated the redesigns of the Cybertronians, seeing how their war took place at the beginning of the film, and how the situation affected Bumblebee. The human aspect was alright imo, but still not as interesting as the Transformers’ side. I enjoyed the action, humor, and modified lore. This film was definitely a step in the right direction for the franchise.🙂
Being honest the cybertron scenes felt like they reference fall and war for cybertron games and the animated trailers for those games for the scene.
Blitzwing is the purple jet/tank from the G1 movie who called Hotrod an Autobrat.
I know him more from animated
As an early 80s baby, I grew up with many cartoons, including "Transformers". Optimus Prime has been and always will be my #1. But this movie made Bumblebee a very close second. The movie itself is so nostalgic for me, even down to the sound effects, voices and designs of the characters matching 80s source material perfectly. And Bee is so childlike and funny during his stay with Charlie. Brought a smile to my face and laughter throughout. Can't say the same for most modern media nowadays, and it's a real shame. We need more movies like this. I absolutely love and adore this film!
I love the sequences showing the war on Cybertron and the bond between Charlie and Bumblebee. I especially love the casting of Angela Bassett as Shatter (the red Decepticon) and John Cena was hilarious as the doofus Agent Burns.
There are triple changers in Transformers but they are rare. Springer from the 86 animated movie was both a helicopter and a car. Drift from the Last Knight was both a car and helicopter as well. In the cartoon, Blitzwing was both a jet and a tank.
Seeing you guys react to the Cybertron scene makes me happy.
Saying it now it is a reboot
They know
@@wsmstudio3329 👌
Your reaction to Bumblebee destroying Tina's car was my exact same reaction when I saw it in theaters!
I thought I was going to pass out after seeing a live action War For Cybertron in theaters!
this film really is "the iron giant" retold. from a TF superfan, the cybertron opening of this film is arguably considered a masterpiece by many in the fanbase. shatter and dropkick are also the best decepticons in this series besides megatron
I like how solid and compact the transformers body feels in this movie, specially when they are punching each other. The body in bayverse seems too fragile and loose.
I don't know about that, the bayverse transformers have some of the craziest and most insane durability feats ever.
Brawl tanking the combined fire power of the autobots and the military.
Optimus tanking a fall at hypersonic speed on cybertron.
Ironhide and megatron surviving being carpet bombed with cluster bombs in tf2.
And many more crazy things while in this movie dropkick was destroyed by a normal human made chain.
This was so great! It was everything Transformers fans wanted from the beginning from a Transformers movie. The deep cut of him playing the song "You Got The Touch" from the animated Transformers movie was SO awesome!
Very excited to see one of the best reviewed Transformers films once it’s uploaded and congrats to 260k+ subscribers on the channel
Also, whatever happened to your _Band of Brothers_ Episode 5 reaction and also why you haven’t been "❤️” my most recent comments for the past 8-10 days?
1:52 That’s the idea. Bumblebee (and its sequel Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) combine the animation of the 1980s TV series and movie with the live action of the “Bayverse” Transformers series. That said, several of the voice actors from the 1980s reprise their roles for this movie.
As far as I’m aware, Peter Cullen is the only G1 cast member in Bumblebee. Soundwave and Shockwave were both voiced by the guy who runs “Honest Reviews”, a.k.a epic movie voice guy. I think Wheeljack was voiced by Steve Blum. While Blitzwing is voiced by someone who’s been in Transformers before, that person never voiced anyone in the G1 show (he voiced Depthcharge in the Beast Wars show). Shatter and Dropkick definitely don’t have any G1 voice actors. Bumblebee was voiced by the guy from Maze Runner. There’s also Brawn, Arcee, and Ratchet, but I forget who voices them.
@@jaydonmagan4694yeah, not sure what OP here is talking about. Peter Cullen is the only returning VA.
too bad they went back to screwing shiet up with rise of the beasts... they even forgot the beast transfor until the last few min of the whole movies....
Blitzwing is one of the triple changers in the cartoon. He could transform into a Robot, a Tank and a fighter airplane.
After Transformers 3 and how awful it was, I vowed to never see another new Transformers in theaters again. But when I saw the trailers for Bumblebee, I happily went to see this in theaters, and it was such a refreshing treat. I absolutely adore this movie. The movie I grew up with that it reminds me of is Short Circuit, especially with John Cena playing the Skroeder type character.
A lot of people say this is the modern version of “The Iron Giant”
No people say it cribbed from Iron Giant
I honestly love all these prequel Transformers movie. I wouldn't mind at all if they continued making all these movies that technically take place before the 2007 one.
The fact you watched Kubo & The Two Strings and other stop-motion movies made by Laika Studios, you would recognize the similar writing and directing elements from those as well because of Travis Knight, he is one of the founders of the studios afterall and have great passion for these, especially he's a big G1 fan :)
And Hailee sings the ending song! I loved this movie so much.
“Can I donate to the next Transformers movie?” Dude SAME
fact: Blitzwing is one of the starscream's lieutenants back on cyberton
The Jet who fought Bumblebee in the beginning is not Starscream. His name is Blitzwing.
Very true. If it were Starscream, he’d be an F-15 Eagle, not an F-4 Phantom II.
@@patrickhuot001 Plus. Blitzwing didn't have any blue on his paint job.
@AFuckingBird They did. Unfortunately, Travis Knight got it confused.
So at 6:46
The Cybertron scenes were epic despite being so short!
Heh, actually this was filmed and released as a prequel. They retroactively decided that this would be a reboot for a new series of Transformer films.
The main Decepticons in this film were called Triple Changers, a Decepticon type developed to have a ground and air vehicle mode. They were one of many classic Transformer types from the toy line in the 80's. This movie didn't shy away from the deep cuts.
I thought Bumblebee was the right step for the TF live action movies, until ROTB came around.
Bumblebee was. ROTB wasn't.
Agreed. ROTB just felt like a generic marvel movie with a Transfomers coat of paint
@@JacobKasza that and they completely fucked up optimus prime’s personality
@@rhyslightning3037 I completely agree, an optimus how feels overburdened could absolutely work but with him sulking like a baby and blaming Noah was absolutely not Optimus. I honestly preferred the murderous bay Optimus
@@JacobKaszaMurderous prime is the one problem with the whole Bayverse💀 ROTB Optimus at least made sense for prime to be pissed off at so many things especially after losing his friends on cybertron. Not to mention there were lots of scenes that weren’t included in the movie that justifies some of his scenes where he’s pissed. It’s definitely different seeing prime in a state where he’s not the godlike autobot we know, but ROTB is literally a filler to watch the progression of the new crew we have for the next movie which I believe Prime by then will be the 80s G1 autobot we know.
Blitz wing in the cartoon was able to turn into a fighter jet and tank. He was a triple changer
Y'alls reactions to the cybertron scene was exactly me in theaters lol. I saw it at a later date with a friend who only knew a little bit of the series and in the empty theater I was just like "Oh my god arcee, wheeljack! THEY HAVE SOUNDWAVE!!"
I love how they wrote bee as like really naïve, with him being so curious about everything, and he’s almost childlike
I love how they called back to the animated movie with Optimus' introduction here. When he jumps in the air and starts blasting.
I like how they paid attention to Bee’s eye color; it’s turns red cuz Bee is built like Decepticon; You saw the other Autobots’ weapons; they’re not mounted onto them, Bee has arm mounted cannon, which is an ironic Decepticon style weapon since the Decepticon are the only military forces on Cybertron, so they’re built with weapons mounted within their body.
The first minutes opening on Cybertron could be used for SO many movies. Love the G1 animations.
Had a nerdgasm in the theatre upon seeing Shockwave, Soundwave and Starscream.
One of my favorite movies EVER. In terms of entertainment cinema, this is a masterpiece. I had fun, laughed and cried like a little child. There is no unnecessary scene here. A complete work!
Ps. the director of this film is Travis Knight, the director of Kubo and the Two Strings, so we knew that we would get an awesome movie!
11/10
I have a beautiful memory of this film in the cinema and it helped me in a very difficult moment in my life.
I loved this movie, they nailed the design of the Autobots and Decepticons, a true call-back to the original series! I used to be a big fan of the first Michael Bay Transformers but it didn't last. Bumblebee was epic, though. ^_^
Dropkick and Shatter were triple changers... you saw Astrotrain use both his train and space shuttle mode and Springer use his helicopter and car mode in the 1986 movie. Blitzwing (who looked very different in this movie) used only his tank mode in the 1986 movie.
Blitzwing actually did use his jet mode in the beginning of the movie right before he changed into a tank to attack Hot Rod.
@@binhnham2512 you're right it was so brief I forgot
I think it's a half-reboot. They ALMOST re-designed everything, but they pulled back from saying it was a different universe. (Frankly, I think they should have divorced themselves from Bayverse altogether, but Bay is producing the movie, so I guess they couldn't completely change it.) I liked how it was closer in look to the 80s cartoon.
Transformers Rise Of The Beasts is next, can't wait.❤️
I know someone probably pointed thid out but this IS a reboot. Made as a prequel. But later changed into a reboot. The new movie (rise of the beasts) is a sequel to this one's timeline
47:12 "There's a door in my way!" - John Cena 2018
That line will never get old 😆
100% a reboot. Its been confirmed by the directors and writing team so many times. Its mind boggling that this is still being talked about.
I loved the way you guy's reacted to this, just like 2 little kids!, especially when you saw the OG Transformers,
The Next one "Rise Of The Beasts" is actually set earlier in the time-line, so an actual prequel to "Bumblebee " I think.
So I hope you enjoy it as well.
🇬🇧👍
This is my favorite Transformer movie. I want more.
I understand that Bumblebee in this movie, since he loses the memory of absolutely everything, proceeds to behave like a frightened child, because as I read out there, he happens to have the consciousness of a child of 3 years or more, taking that into account, it no longer sounds ridiculous that a transformer behaves like this suddenly with a human, as someone who does not know this fact might think.
I found Bumblebee very adorable in this movie because he looks so innocent and cool at the same time💛🐝 even when he regains his memory and behaves as he should. Too bad it's a self-conclusive movie, I would have liked to see more of Charlie and Bee in the future.
There's a deleted/alternate opening to Rise of the Beasts that, while unfinished, is still a pretty cool intro to Optimus and I think should've been left in. You guys should check it out before pressing play.
Angela Bassett kiiled it as the main villain! Probably the best decepticon voice in these films. Either her or Hugo Weaving.
52:46 This is a reference to the intro for the original 1984 show where soundwave throws jazz and he transforms and drives around to come back at him like how it happened here
also obligatory ‘watch tf prime after ROTB’ comment
this movie instantly reminded me of the Herbie movies w the VW bug
I didn't even know this existed, but it's immediately at least ten times better than the Bay movies. Love that the transformers look and sound like themselves.
Ten times worse
@AFuckingBird No idea what TF Prime is, but I'd distinctly note that I didn't call any transformers content trash. I only noted that this one did the nostalgia bait better than the Bay movies did... I still like the Bay movies despite that.
@@phantomhd7889clown take 🤡
just so you know the song Bee played at the cliff jump seen ( you got the touch, you got the power) is the song from the original animated Transformers Movie
The car Bee is for the majority of the movie is the same one he hit with his door when Sam was picking out a car.
This movie was fun to watch good reaction
The truck at the end isn't Optimus as he hadn't come to earth yet, but it is a look-a-like to cartoon Optimus
Dylan O'Brien was Bumblebee's voice and I watched this solely for that LOL but I ended up loving it!
THIS is a proper Transformers live-action movie.
The Transformers are brightly colored as they should be, since that is an important aspect of their character and how viewers tell them apart. Bay's Transformers too often look like a blob of metal gray colliding with another blob of metal gray.
After the movies, you guys legit should check out the War for Cyberton game cinematics and see their take on Transformers design, which imo is one of the best that blend the classic cartoon with modern esthetics.
@AFuckingBird
Hence, why color is important. The Seekers, for example, are all the same type of Transformers. But their paint job instantly make them recognizable from first glance.
We love your reactions, thanks!
0:16 - When the movie came out, nobody was sure whether it was a prequel or a soft reboot. Nobody has ever made an official statement, but given the events of Rise of the Beasts, it looks more like it's a reboot. This and Rise feel more like a reimagining of the original series than a separate continuity like the previous films did.
6:19 - Float like a butterfly...
7:08 - When the Transformers freed themselves from the Quintessons, it was the military hardware, the Decepticons, that did the bulk of the fighting while the consumer goods line, Autobots, basically maintained things at home. The Decepticons ended up in charge since they did most of the work. This was a perfectly equitable solution...until the war ended. With nothing to fight, the Decepticons started taking their aggressions out on the Autobots, making their lives miserable. Eventually the Autobots had enough and started fighting back, this starting the Transformers civil war. The Autobots were 'traitors' in the same sense that the American founding fathers were 'traitors' to the British Empire: fighting back against a corrupt and abusive system that denied them their basic 'human' rights.
14:53 - Energon is just concentrated energy. Any source of energy, from solar to coal to mineral oil, can make energon, it's just a matter of concentration and quality.
16:29 - Detachable fenders for narrow garages.
24:30 - Looks like they found the voice filter. Also, it annoys me that whoever did the captioning doesn't recognize these ICONIC Transformers.
46:18- Most transformers only have 1 alt form, but they can have several. Probably the most famous multi-form Transformer is Astrotrain, who can transform into both a locomotive engine and a space shuttle.
If I'm not mistaken they're designs in the beginning are gen1 from the classics. Also you must've forgotten that drift from TF4 had two forms Megatron from TF2 also had two form a cybertronian jet and tank
The decepticon who stabbed bee when bee landed on earth was actually called Blitzwing :3
The Transformers in the Bey movies fought more like humans than Transformers and the Bey movies tried to put humans on the same level as the Transformers, able to defeat Autobots or Decepticons on their own. With this movie, the Transformers fought like they did in the source material, moving from one form to another throughout the fight. And Charlie was a main character in the story, but not in the battles. She didn't even try to fight the Decepticons. Instead, she revived Bee when he was out by shocking him and unplugged the power source for the transmission tower. Again, very much like the roles humans played in the original animation. Humans always did small but vital things while the Autobots did all of the heavy stuff. This movie is much, much closer to the source material than the Bey movies ever were.
31:54 is best meta Transformers joke in a Transformers movie ever :)
@White Noise Reacts, hey James& buddy-in this installment of the Transformers franchise the studio/writers got to bring in the OG "The Equalizer" actor as the old man that gave Charlie her first car& the actress that plays her mother is from," Who's the Boss" TV series fame,as Tony Danza's character's cousin, both The Equalizer and Who's the Boss premiered during the 80's,ha?.
11:55 cliffjumper never catches a break after the war. In newer transformers media cliffjumper dies before arriving to earth or shortly after arriving. But during the war he is one of the autobots best fighters.
Transformers prime show he dies in episode getting killed by starscream. The voice of cliff in the show is Dwayne Johnson.
It's Dylan O'Brien who voiced Bumblebee
Is the Simmons at 21:20 the same Simmons John Turturro plays in Bay's movies? Nice career :)
It's a reboot. The Last Knight ruins the timeline with Bumblebee in the 1940s stopping some Germans
I've been made fun of for commenting this on another reaction but seeing a woman in the transformers franchise that isn't just there to look hot, or an extremely sexualized teenager was really cool. I love this movie, I love ROTB, and I can't wait for what's next
This is literal one of My favourite and Best Transformers live action movie ever to Bumblebee origin story ever.
That jet was BLITZWING
Nice to have a transformers movie written and made by fans rather than a hack that thinks explosions = plot.
If you missed it John Cena is sector 7 and the young dude is Simmons, John turturros character.
Parts of this movie gives me serious Short Circuit movie vibes. Also bits with 2 vehicle modes are called triple Changers.
When Transformers the Movie came out In 1986 they promised a live action movie. We had to wait a very long time
Growing up watching G1, initially going into the movie I also thought that was Starscream because of the similarity in the color scheme. I didn't find out until later from a friend that it was Blitzwing - it confused me and I questioned: "well if it's Blitzwing, why didn't they give him the OG G1 color scheme? Would purple be too much of a dead give-away, so he shifted colors?" -- Also, shoutout to the Triple-Changers both in this movie and in every Transformers media, they're the coolest
This has to be my favorite (live action) Transformers movie
Part of it is just that there are less transformers to keep track of, but I think the designs in this one were a lot more distinctive. In the Bay movies, thee are just so many of them, and most of them kind of seem indistinguishable.
Energon is an energy. It can be extracted from various resources, like oil, hydro-electric, and so forth. Usually stored in cubes. Apparently, also crystals? As shown in the episode that has the Decepticons extracting energy from the Ruby Mines of Burma.
Fact that subtitles referred fucking Soundwave and Shockwave as Decepticon 2 and 3
My FAVORITE Live Action TRansformers movie!!
Its sooo good! The Character Design is ON POINT
I never got into the live action movies, I caught the first three on cable, but never went back to them and totally ignored the rest, but this is the only one I purposely looked for and enjoyed, but sad that this was a one time thing, I would love to see more movies with this cast of characters.
The ones with 2 vehicle forms are called tripple changers
