    Insurance is the biggest scam, hopefully we all can make it through this

    • @SteveSmith-eb6ze
      @SteveSmith-eb6ze Год назад +1

      Actually, insurance isn’t a scam. Truck’s flagrantly ignore all traffic signs. They speed constantly, tailgate at ridiculously close intervals, cut people off, drive 35 mph up a hill in the left lane, drive in the left lane when the signs clearly state”no trucks left lane”bully people when merging( you do not have the right of way when merging)using the engine brake in a residential area, going 75 mph down a mountain when the signs say”truck safe downhill speed 25 mph”driving to fast for the conditions, not bathing nor brushing the few remaining rotten teeth. This is why the insurance rates go sky-high! Did I forget to mention the millions of pee bottles, tons of feces in bags and mountains of trash thrown all over America? That will raise your insurance premiums also!

    Troys advice about being humble and rising above anyone watching and waiting for you to fail, couldn’t have been said any better. His advice about “cash is king”, you know what, “no”; Everything Troy has said hit home with me this morning. It’s not any kind of motivational advice “myself, personally”, have ever received from anyone in the Industry.
    Not in the short amount of time that I’ve been here.
    Just when I was thinking about giving up, after listening to Troy, I’m rethinking that decision.

    Running your own business is always a good choice. But the message shouldnt always be to tell all truckers to get out their and own their own business. Some people have more ambition to succeed than others, and others can deal with the trial and error betteer when it comes to making mistakes. Also some of these people are raised in families at an early to learn ins and outs of how to run a business, as well as understanding basic economics. Nothing wrong with taking chances and risk, but atleast minimize those risk and know yourself before you think about taking them, as well as preparing for a rainy day, especially in these trying times.

      One thing you missed is the stress of it all coming back to you as the owner. There aren't many days off when you are trying to grow your business and I know some people that have very successful business with 100's of employees that would like to work a 9-5 and get that steady paycheck over dealing with all the stress. Definitely weigh your options before you commit to it

      I was an O/O for four years. Started with a brand new truck, worked my ass off, did pretty good. Was about time to replace the truck (here in Europe you have to run a new truck on international work) and expnding to more than one truck.
      Had the new Volvo almost ordered, got the thumbs up from the bank, stopped myself to think a little. Sold the old truck, didnt get a new one, had a few trucking jobs after that, loved it because of no stress, learned a trade and haven't turned a wheel in a commercial for seven years.

    In order for him to have this kind of truck which are beautiful custom trucks ofcourse they are probably 40% higher then a regular truck.
    This means he is the golden pot in the desert and some how 95% of all of us make $10 dollars and he is the only that the shipper pays him $25 dollars ( sample numbers ) i still do NOT see how or why what does he has then other real trucker do Not .....😂😂😂😂 It just raises too many questions.. I have been driving since 1990. 100% owner operator. Only one truck and one trailer.... I know how it really works out there..... Successful truckers always talk from the bottom and up... Sure but the real question is How do you make your customers to over pay you. When they can get the shipment haul for a lot less then yours...... 😂😂😂😂

    Insurance needs to be regulated. Add a capp that makes a business successful and still maintaining. I need to stop blaming people that aren't doing anything wrong. It start blaming the ones that do make them pay the price. And insurance should be affordable not insane amount of money. Starting off maintaining whatever the scenario is. There should be a reform to where people who aren't working. Don't get into your pockets and mess your life up. Because they're being greedy or selfish ignorant. Foolish, who knows where they're doing it? Because there is no checks and balances anyone of those things. There should be checks and balances and a cap. On how much they go up on insurance from the maximum to the minimum amoun that doesn't put a business because they say when But things definitely need to change before they become absurdly impossible to maintain and then destroy The dream of one's inspiration of making a living on our own or being independent from working for a company or some boss.
    People should have that right to do that. And there should be nobody in the way. And that includes Insurance Company brokers.
    Taxes, there needs to be Cap on all things that matter when it comes to budgeting. If we got a budget basic budget, right? Why should we pay for ill responsibility of another who isn't being responsible? And then expects us to compensate for what they're lacking.
    It should never be that way. Should never be a part of business and they should be called out on that. Put on notice bring in new It has a cap that it doesn't interfere with a daily function of a business in the trucking. Industry, it seems like a lot of crooks or in your pocket. And there's nothing that we can do and we need something to protect the truckers from people like this. And penalize them for doing such when they're caught doing it. There should be a cap. It should never exceed the budget of a business and making it harder for people to afford that business and then shut down business. There should be no reason for anything to shut down. A business that doesn't have to do with the business, and that includes insurance.
    That includes brokers. That includes anything else that's going to be outrageous and outlandish that would put a business out of business And ones that do their business right and then they can't afford it end up Going Out of business because of this nonsense.
    It's not fair and there need to be something that needs to address this Problem Another business that you're paying for should not interfere in your daily activities in Business Again, somebody that don't have anything to do with your business has everything to do with your business and you need to nip. That in the butt, before it continues they, they cost people more money to spend absurd amount of money from nothing. Just because they Feel should never go by Feel Nobody should go by Feel It should be affordable manageable it's should Go up and maintaining the illusion that oh you're being punished nobody should be punished. You know, even if your accident wasn't your fault. Nothing should go up but they do it anyways.
    Understand holy c***, why an incentive not to be in an accident because? You don't know when you're going to be. You got cell phone driver because you got idiot people. Everything lisas that don't know how to drive. Who's put in that out there , not me. Maybe they should go after them.
