It looks like you have quite a bit of luck gear on , if you didn’t hear yet the max you can get is 90% more for a total of 190% , everyone has a base luck stat of 100% and the hard cap is 190%. Anything above is a waste. Just figured I’d chime in with some info , great video as always and will be trying this build out as soon as I get on! I have been rolling around with the freeze/thousand suns build which has been good, but this one looks like a powerhouse 🤘
The patch is already deployed as of this morning! When you log in all your Masterworks are going to be bumped up to 61 power, and all legendaries are bumped up to 75 along with a bunch of other changes. GM2/3 are actually reasonable now.
Increasing gear recharge rate by 100% means 50% cooldown reduction? I mean, if the cooldown time is 10 seconds, with 100% recharge rate does it become 5 seconds or 0 seconds?
The mark of wrath component doesn't seem to work with chaotic rime because it recharges to fast. I've tested it and the mark only seems to work when you empty all the charges, which you can't do if the chaotic rime recharges almost immediately.
Finally someone recognizes the brilliance of this build. It has great crowd control, primes for extra damage and you never seem to run out of charges. It is by far the most versatile build I've used. It doesnt do the most damage out of all the builds but it definitely makes up for the lack of damage with everything else it allows.
I've run this build before. The problem with it is going into anything higher than GM1. Not being able to generate ultimate or spread freeze effects hurts you BADLY, and enemies are so tanky that the bonus damage to Blaze is roughly equivalent to a burning orb so.. eh
This is the build I’ve been running the past 2 weeks. I upgraded my chaotic rhyme to the legendary version 2 nights ago. I absolutely love it. But I run Rhalners blaze, and my Avenging Harold instead.
It feels like the stat rolls on PC are far better and more viable than the countless ones I see on console. Also ice storm and burning orb are the best for a OP elemental build it melts everything when you have both masterworks or higher.
Given those components wouldn't it be better to pair venomous blaze with black ice (legendary glacial lance)? Chaotic Rime is nice for priming but the recharge rate on venomous blaze is slow and while Rime is like 3 times faster but its damage is with me at least with the masterwork version is like 100 or 200 ish. Blaze pairs better with the lance cause they have the same range (far) so you can stay further from the fight while doing mad damage with your dmr. Elemental rage will hit from far out but not for a lot of damage but the perk activates on hits so you can still keep the stacks high for the damage buff. Just what my thought is at least, also i think having lighting strike with ice shard is a better one two punch.
Chaotic Rime's masterwork effect is +125% dmg for your other seal. Using Black Ice would mean you lose that bonus dmg and the ability to freeze enemies such as turrets etc. The c/d on Blaze with the components in the video is very fast and it literally one tap kills any none shielded enemy in a large aoe.
Ture you lose that but i found that not having a detonator can leave you vulnerable if your separated from your squad or your rumning with random players. Plus I dont have the masterwork lighting strike yet but even as of the patch going live the epic has more damage than the master work venomous blaze. I know you have more charges so the higher dps but again it boils down to play styles. Not bashing your build in the slightest. Also I have token of daring and vanguard's token and i have had those save me countless times in a pinch when my shield is destroyed. I do enjoy running ten thousand suns with blaze, if you do the full charge on sun it never goes on cooldown. Slower Att speed than rine but I use blaze to apply burn and/or acid than use sun to detonate marks while blaze recharges. Add a fire inscription for added oomph.
The build works fine solo... you need the 125% bonus to really make it shine and with master works the recharge on both us fast. You hit for 12k ro 15k easily per fire blast. Recharge is likec4 sec and you get 5 charges.. in between the recharge you keep you elemental proc up and freeze more targets.... The biggest flaw with the build is ultimate generation. We with out a detonator it's a bit slow to recharge.
How do you have so many legendaries? I playing since console release all javelins full masterwork. Spend around 10h last night in gm3 and i didnt get legendary since 10 days ago?

Ok guys. I see a ton of comments on here about how well this combos with this or with that. I’ll make this very clear. IT DOES NOT COMBO NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. I’ve run this build along with others since the VIP demo. Flame burst is neither a primer or detonator. It DOESNT COMBO. its even said in the video. The only reason to prime or run venomous is because primed targets take more damage from burst. I wish i was wrong but im not. Ive tried every set up possible since full release. Not 1 single combo, ever....If it was a detonator it would easily be best set up in entire game. Its speed is unmatched. Combos of course create more xp for ultimate meter. If you dont care about that its an extremely powerful build. Tons of fun.
I landed on this build a couple weeks ago, and everything else has felt nerf since. Even their butchering of the frost shards / chaotic rime recharge couldn't ruin it. They still make you the oprah of Bastion, "You get a combo! And YOU get a combo! You ALL get COMBOS!" :P And with a buffed out venomous blaze, who needs combos. ;)
The only sad thing about storm builds is that you can never exceed a 100% increase in elemental damage. As far as I can tell, the damage boosters are capped, but that may be a bug
Blast damage is anything that does damage in an AoE, so it's increasing the damage of his Venomous Blaze and also Storm's ultimate. The way the game handles explaining damage types is extremely confusing because they treat blast and impact damage like damage sub types that all abilities/weapons have. A regular assault rifle for example is typed as Physical + Impact because it's damage has no element and it's impact because the way it deals it's damage is single target. Another is Venomous Blaze is typed as Fire/Blast because it's element type is fire, and then the way it deals it's damage is in an AoE, so it's considered blast. However there's added wonkiness in that the damage type Acid isn't considered an Element and is instead treated as Physical damage as far as testers have reported.
@@neon_nights6718 So to keep it going, I had an avenging herald with 125% more gun damage, then I rerolled and got one that does 125% more gun PHYSICAL damage and my number have increased by about 3-4k on crits. Thoughts?

Its like the fire type or ice blast.. or whatever its called and their double stacking gear recharge rate components.. with legendary and masterwork components, that i need to get.. lul!

I feel so underpowered. I can kill things but it feels like the mobs, even the crappy, weak, cannon fodder mobs hit like trucks. No one has said anything about that, I think. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like 90% of the time I’m getting hit by invisible bullets that just nuke my health. I like the way destiny handles PvE way more. You can actually go in and melee a few basic grunts and what not if you need to and take minimal damage. In this game, it feels like every single mob, no matter how wimpy they are, hits like a semi truck.
Ryūjin Jakka it sounds like you don’t have a lot of masterwork components. Once you have at least 4 your survivability spikes massively. Once you have a full set of them you’re able to properly compete with the end game.
Ryūjin Jakka yeah i dont have any masterwork components either, about to start GM1 tonight.. so im using a shield booster and the component that makes you take leas elemental damage.. and ive been surviving alright.. but i did notice a bit of a change going from all dps components to some survivability components.. my damage is still damn good tho... seems i pull aggro alot.. but then again, maybe im just not playing with colossus’ that know how to take aggro too well... lol.. i do have the masterwork weapons tho.. too..
As a destiny 1 and 2 player i feel the same. You need MW components, just one will change ur game, believe me. Go make legendary contracts, if u do on GM 1 , you will receive a garanted MW comp in the end!
ive been using a similar build for awhile now but couldn't use the ice shards since I lacked the masterwork version till recently. instead of chaotic rime I used Stasis Charm that has double the amount of charges. you'll miss out on the extra LT damage that Rime gives but will make up for it with the raw damage stasis charm does. also you lose a bit of crowd control. But it wrecks
Been prety much rocking ice storm with burning orb, got the leggy orb one with elemental dmg roled on it =) can clear out trash mobs so easily with it i love it ^^
Y'all are sleeping on Divine Vengeance. Tried every storm build and Divine Vengeance just cans them. 2.5k per weak spot hit plus a 20k explosion every 3? Can't touch it.
Divine Vengeance is the weapon, 4 shot burst rifle, every 3rd weak point hit cause a fire blast at the enemy. After tweaking the build a bit more recently, I've pushed the explosions to 40k's every burst. Anything that increases fire and blast damage increases the weapon's explosion damage. Also, using venemous blaze with the proper components does massive aoe damage and applies acid which reducses resistances meaning the blast from the weapon does even more. For example, using venemous blaze to apply acid to Scelar in Temple stronghold hits about 20k per hit, every 3rd applies acid, which applies about another 15 to 20k depending on buffs at the time. Follow up with a few bursts from divine vengeance for massive damage, and repeat the process when your blaze charges are full again. Also, I use chaotic rhime to set up combos for team mates and just as a CC for me in sticky situations, it also increases blaze damage by 125% for 20 seconds after applying a freeze, which is very easy to do. Basically, forget the combo's for a second if you're able to set up this build, combo damage is much less compared to the raw resistance reductions and continuous blast damage.
I also forgot to mention that this weapon procs weak point explosions through shields. I do not know if this is intended, and when firing at a scar with a full blue bar, it does not highlight the weak point hit upon impact, but the blast still happens as if it did and does massive shield damage. I'm also aware chaotic rime ability does not apply a full 125% damage increase, it is marginal at best, but it still provides the best CC for sticky situations.
I've started running almost the same but Ponder over Blaze, I did some math and Ponder came out to better DPS. I stacked Q speed up to ~240% so my Ponder Infinity has like ~2.5 CD and one shots regular mobs. I was tempted to try it out with Ven Blaze but I'm loving this version. Many Leg contracts I feel like I'm soloing it because everything dies the moment it spawns.
What the hell? You can stack chaos core with token of the master?? They both have the same perk of increasing blast damage by 35%. This has to be a bug for now.
Even though I cancelled my Anthem Pre-order following the Open Beta, I still watch your videos and I sincerely hope that Anthem pulls a "Ubisoft" and turns it self around.

You can't get masterwork support abilities for any of the classes right now. really annoying being stuck with an epic when all your other gear is masterwork
Weak! Real power is Venomous blaze and the masterwork/legendary chain lightning. You set up the acid with venomous blaze and do a follow with chain lightning strike, it does not detonate but is the single most dmging strom move. Also chain lightning is op VS shielded enemies. Works even better if you have +100%charge.
Hey, i did some Testings, and i tried to Play with Chaos core, And Without, But it seems like the Blast damage doesnt Affect Venomous Blaze at all, Someone here that could Confirm my Results?
Blast damage increase boosts the damage of anything that's an AoE damage effect, so he's increasing both the damage of Venomous Blaze and the Storm's ultimate since it's AoE damage as well. If he had the MW version of Chaos Core it would further support the build since it also increases Blast Seal damage by 60% for 5 after hitting an enemy with a Focus Seal.
John JAB storm is a glass cannon after the patch. Prior to the patch I could do GM2 with 120 %armour and shield and not get one shotted. ( includes consumables) After the patch even with a total of 190% shield and 80 % armour and 3 legendary components I still get one shotted in GM2.
@@styxxhs8048 Yes it is a Primer. The MW perk states on 3 consecutive hits you deal acid damage, which does indeed prime the target. 100% confirmed as I've done it myself
yeah fam. this works really well. notice his venomous blaze also has a lot of extra damage on it. for what you're lacking in doing your own combos you're making up for it in raw damage. I use a version of this that opts for stasis charm to strip shields easier. the amount of damage venomous blaze reaches is quite high

I have a storm setup that gives an ultimate every couple minutes , 10 g Suns at 65 and winters wrath ? Works good with a 75 cycle of pain for now and a papa pump . This is not a bad game , a little glitchy but it's going to stick around despite what the adult youtuber hate flu people say which I don't even go watch them anymore , maybe to give a thumbs down .
boy this skill sucks... i main storm. i HIIIIIIIIIIGHLY recommend, stasis chain, the mw variant of arc burst.. i hit around 70k dmg. it is the strongest skill of the storm. completly wrecks shields, AND IT CRITS!! i hit a turret with 42k dmg... i use it together with elemental rage, and lightning strike.... lightning all day long.
Surprised people still play this game, would have assumed Bioware would have banned everyone for farming or people wouldn't be able to play because their console crashes

Replace the marksman rifle with a truth of tarsis and you’ll be able to detonate all those status effects you’re applying

Herald only buffs weapon damage, DFA buffs all damage.
I have two 25% RB cool down making a total of 50% cool down, which allows me to have unlimited Chaotic Rime (ice shards)😃

Its cool and powerful but it looks like the reload timer of the fire ability takes a bit too long.

Been prety much rocking ice storm with burning orb, got the leggy orb one with elemental dmg roled on it =) can clear out trash mobs so easily with it i love it ^^
Y'all are sleeping on Divine Vengeance. Tried every storm build and Divine Vengeance just cans them. 2.5k per weak spot hit plus a 20k explosion every 3? Can't touch it.

Divine Vengeance is the weapon, 4 shot burst rifle, every 3rd weak point hit cause a fire blast at the enemy. After tweaking the build a bit more recently, I've pushed the explosions to 40k's every burst. Anything that increases fire and blast damage increases the weapon's explosion damage. Also, using venemous blaze with the proper components does massive aoe damage and applies acid which reducses resistances meaning the blast from the weapon does even more. For example, using venemous blaze to apply acid to Scelar in Temple stronghold hits about 20k per hit, every 3rd applies acid, which applies about another 15 to 20k depending on buffs at the time. Follow up with a few bursts from divine vengeance for massive damage, and repeat the process when your blaze charges are full again. Also, I use chaotic rhime to set up combos for team mates and just as a CC for me in sticky situations, it also increases blaze damage by 125% for 20 seconds after applying a freeze, which is very easy to do. Basically, forget the combo's for a second if you're able to set up this build, combo damage is much less compared to the raw resistance reductions and continuous blast damage.
I also forgot to mention that this weapon procs weak point explosions through shields. I do not know if this is intended, and when firing at a scar with a full blue bar, it does not highlight the weak point hit upon impact, but the blast still happens as if it did and does massive shield damage. I'm also aware chaotic rime ability does not apply a full 125% damage increase, it is marginal at best, but it still provides the best CC for sticky situations.
I've started running almost the same but Ponder over Blaze, I did some math and Ponder came out to better DPS. I stacked Q speed up to ~240% so my Ponder Infinity has like ~2.5 CD and one shots regular mobs. I was tempted to try it out with Ven Blaze but I'm loving this version. Many Leg contracts I feel like I'm soloing it because everything dies the moment it spawns.

I have ran this build for about 2 weeks now, it is loads better with q speed around 150% having near unlimited charges is great
You’re not using any blast damage (I think venomous blaze is fire damage) so not sure why you’re using it?

What the hell? You can stack chaos core with token of the master?? They both have the same perk of increasing blast damage by 35%. This has to be a bug for now.
All MW and epic components work this way. Used the Colossus +%300 +%300 shield charge to break into GM difficulty.

Weak! Real power is Venomous blaze and the masterwork/legendary chain lightning. You set up the acid with venomous blaze and do a follow with chain lightning strike, it does not detonate but is the single most dmging strom move. Also chain lightning is op VS shielded enemies. Works even better if you have +100%charge.
stasis charm is stupid strong. I haven't switched out since finding one with an extra charge. i totally agree with you

Hey, i did some Testings, and i tried to Play with Chaos core, And Without, But it seems like the Blast damage doesnt Affect Venomous Blaze at all, Someone here that could Confirm my Results?
Why the Blast damage inscription?
Blast damage increase boosts the damage of anything that's an AoE damage effect, so he's increasing both the damage of Venomous Blaze and the Storm's ultimate since it's AoE damage as well. If he had the MW version of Chaos Core it would further support the build since it also increases Blast Seal damage by 60% for 5 after hitting an enemy with a Focus Seal.

Is venomous blaze doing blast damage? It’s classed as fire damage and doesn’t specify blast. Not sure if the chaos core is a wasted slot.

John JAB storm is a glass cannon after the patch. Prior to the patch I could do GM2 with 120 %armour and shield and not get one shotted. ( includes consumables)
After the patch even with a total of 190% shield and 80 % armour and 3 legendary components I still get one shotted in GM2.

The fire blast isnt a primer tho right? Its just straight damage.. its not a primer or a detonator.. so thats why it knocks out shields well..
@@styxxhs8048 Yes it is a Primer. The MW perk states on 3 consecutive hits you deal acid damage, which does indeed prime the target. 100% confirmed as I've done it myself
yeah fam. this works really well. notice his venomous blaze also has a lot of extra damage on it. for what you're lacking in doing your own combos you're making up for it in raw damage. I use a version of this that opts for stasis charm to strip shields easier. the amount of damage venomous blaze reaches is quite high

I have a storm setup that gives an ultimate every couple minutes , 10 g Suns at 65 and winters wrath ? Works good with a 75 cycle of pain for now and a papa pump . This is not a bad game , a little glitchy but it's going to stick around despite what the adult youtuber hate flu people say which I don't even go watch them anymore , maybe to give a thumbs down .

boy this skill sucks... i main storm. i HIIIIIIIIIIGHLY recommend, stasis chain, the mw variant of arc burst.. i hit around 70k dmg. it is the strongest skill of the storm. completly wrecks shields, AND IT CRITS!! i hit a turret with 42k dmg... i use it together with elemental rage, and lightning strike.... lightning all day long.
