I just love Albania in Eurovision - every single time they are serving us their own culture, their traditional ethnic instruments, the Albanian language, the dramatic beat, strong vocals... Ktheju Tokes in 2019, Karma in 2021 and now Duje - all of them absolute masterpieces 🤩🤩❤

Duje means to love. Translating the entire meaning is hard from language to language as it can be lost in translation but the meaning of the song is to not throw away love or family just because of one disagreement. Basically to focus on love. The song is sung in the Gheg Albanian dialect spoken mostly in Kosovo, North Macedonia, North Albania and Montenegro.

For those who don't understand the lyrics - this song is about people who love each other (i.e. a family) breaking apart over a small conflict. The chorus is preaching to protect the love that means so much to you. It's even more beautiful that she is up there with her entire family!

Love everything about this. The power, the stage presence, the energy between the people on stage, everyone involved is in tune and has great singing voices, the staging is perfect for this type of song, it is waaaay better live than in the studio version, and it has a clear sound of the culture from the country it represents. Everything you can ask for in a Eurovision entry. I voted for it as many times as it was possible.
