All our CE's are spare buses now so driving them is a bit rare lol but I try to record them when I can. At the moment I am mostly uploading stuff I filmed last school year
my daughter rides a 2010 International CE and this one is in so much better shape than the one she rides daily (she rides one of two of the 2010's left on a daily route). The salt has really rusted her bus out. Hopefully one of the buses on order will be replacing her bus later this year when one of the new ones come in.
@@LMDProductionsOfficialthey choose to use ice melt due to bad ice on the roads. My state gets snow yet very little to no ice melt is used. It’s mostly gravel or sand for traction and roads are plowed often.
Seems like the transmission shifts really weird like it’s going out or something. It doesn’t have firm shifts. It shifts like the slushy AT545. It sounds nice though.
@@isaiahanderson7237 oddly enough this bus just went in for “transmission problems” just last week. It’s had a warning light on forever but it ran… so up till then we had chalked it up to “a problem for future us” 😂
I'm not gonna lie the MaxxForce DT does sound really good when it reaches high rpm during take off. But I know it's an upgraded version of the DT466E. When it comes to maintenance it is crap. But one thing I noticed about a CE is how low it is compared to the C2. From a point view, your camera being on top of your hat, it looks like it touches the ceiling of the bus. I kinda don't like that on a bus. I like the head room being high on a bus. Especially if you're doing videos like this. I noticed that when you drive a C2 recording it so well balanced like you don't touch the ceiling. That's another reason why I like C2's. I do like CE's however. Just the lower you are touching the ceiling is just a N-O.
@@Aymvnz that is the sound of the radiator fans spooling up. They kick into gear when the engine temperature starts rising to help cool it back down and then they back off once the temperature is down far enough. That’s why you only hear them occasionally.
@@Aymvnzon this bus it was running because it was cold. The fluid inside the clutch when it is cold will cause it to stick on momentarily until it warms up. Once it gets hot it’ll turn back on
@@MaxxforceDT I do too. I wish CE’s still had them as an option especially if they made them more reliable and toned down the noise. Basically it could sound like a 2009 DT but quieter.

I just finished watching another video and thought about commenting for a CE video.... Refreshed the page and lucked out!

Definitely a nice sunrise that morning.
I’m surprised to see your buses don’t have white roofs like ours in FL.

@ oh sounds like it went out because it shouldn’t be shifting like that. It seemed the torque converter would never lock up.
@@LMDProductionsOfficialweird. Hope it gets fixed. That’s not normal at all for a newer Allison to be slushy like that.

Maxxforce DT's are the best!
Definitely. Cummins is easier on the ears tho. I prefer older engines like the maxxforce due to having so much unrefined loud diesel engine noise.
@ Yea, having rode a Cummins for a year and a half then switching to a 2014 DT, I can say the newer DTs sound good but Cummins is quieter
