The MaxxForce CEs yall have. Were they 7s or DTs? I ask since you said some have had multiple engines. The 7s were known for blowing up. Not so much the DTs but they did have their own issues. We've had a couple DTs get rebuilt but none have had full engine replacements. The engines wouldn't be so bad if not for the DPF and regenning and all that nonsense. The ones we got that get ran good have fared better than the ones that piddle around town.

When I first started driving school bus at 19, I had a very similar situation!! However, when I got to the high school, and hurriedly put my ID on to run into the school, I was stopped by the Assistant Principal, asking why I wasn’t in class(mind you, this was 12:00 noon as I had just drove a midday run). I showed him my ID, had to prove to him that it scanned and actually opened the doors, and went on my way. I just made it to the restroom in time… but as I was leaving, I was stopped again, this time by the Dean of Students, asking why I was in the staff restroom!!! Apparently, the size 36 font “STAFF” on my ID, and the staff lanyard wasn’t good enough for him, as he called the office to verify who I was🤦🏻!

I got to drive a few of the buses I rode to school, including the one I had throughout my time in high school, and I can verify that it is a very good feeling. Puts it into persepctive how far you've come since you rode it as a student.
