Wes, you’re one of the best in the industry , if anyone can handle a lunatic during a set, it’s you, but that should be the end of it . With the size of your current venues you need to have security at your events because they are large venues, an entertainer at your level does not deserve assholes mouthing off throughout the show, they should even be a presence thats set so that the people know that if they are loud, they will be asked to leave. It’s to protect you and the other audience members that don’t want to hear bullshit and ruin the experience for them as well. Comedy clubs and large venues Typically have security that would kick that guy out in a heartbeat if he continued like he did . I know as well firsthand because Ive done security for gigs like yours . Being a professional comedy magician and illusionist like yourself touring you *need security to deal with people that are going to continually disrupt the show , so at a certain point you would’ve been able to cue someone quietly to reach out to security/ or have the security cognitive enough to approach the individual . You should have that layer of security and not have to deal with an obnoxious asshole, especially someone of your caliber . just some food for thought, you can’t entertain and be a babysitter . You’re too talented to have to worry about jerk offs. It just comes with the territory as you know any Broadway show Vegas show, etc. is gonna have security whenever you’re dealing with large crowds because it can fuck up your head as well as ruin the show for everyone else , you got this. Keep shining like you always do , kindest of regards, Pete
I watch a lot of the comedian Steve Hofstetter who is famous for his heckler takedowns. I love your bit where you get into the straight jacket and believe that defies physics on many levels. Happy the show went well.
You soldiered on like a champ. But there's no shame in just shutting him down hard as step 1 and kicking him out as step 2. I think you were using your skills to be subtle and redirect him, but that's more work for you than you need. I seem to recall Penn Jillette talking about one time he stopped the show and told a heckler to "walk with me" out to the lobby. The rest of the audience just staring as they went and Teller just standing still on stage. (Silently, of course.) In the lobby Penn gave him a very straightforward "So what's going on, are you not happy?" Naturally with al the pressure and none of the audience the guy was full of apologies and they walked back in. Now that takes guts to bring the show to a stop and you may not have that timing flexibility on a shared lineup, but if they think they're contributing to the show then stopping it is a pretty good way to end their delusion.
One day. My popular videos have decent views: 34M, 7.7M, 7.1M, 4.4M, 3.3M, 3.2M, 2.7M, 2.5M and a bunch over 1M. Hopefully the next one does the trick! Thanks for all the support!
I have to say I like the piké(?)-shirt with the green collar that you wear in the clips between the tricks. It makes me think of 7-11, or Burger King, but in a good way. 🙂👍
didn't realise magicians get hecklers like this, makes me think of a comedy crowd vs a magic crowd and overlaps/ differences. Heckling "acceptability" normalisation, expectations.... something like permission vs taboo of heckling in comedy vs magic
Sorry to hear that this jerk ruined your trick. It’s hard to be patient with hecklers. I remember one me and my friend had to deal with at a house party, and i kept moving on with the show and everyone loved it no matter how hard this person tried to ruin it for everyone. You handled it really well.
Yeah hecklers can ruin a show I have seen comedians walk off stage from hecklers who don't know when to stop, you know it's bad when the audience is yelling at the heckler to shut up and they just keep going and the bar or establishment doesn't have security to kick people out. But from what you showed us in the video you handled it really well. A working 35mm Theater Film Projector, now that's cool 👍👍
I’ve heard how stressful hecklers are for standup comedians, but the problem of Wes is that his format of show requires some feedback from the crowd, so… yeah. Probably pretty hard to balance.
Your wife is very beautiful for a woman our ages(I'm 40, little older). You are a lucky man, sir. Job that you love to do, beautiful wife and social media presence. Good for you. Hoping you keep it going for as long as you desire.
Sorry you had to deal with that. I know what doing scripted performances is like, and someone totally messing that up sucks! I saw your show in Buffalo last year, talked to you afterwards and gave you a hard time in jest about a Saskatchewan joke you made during the show since i am from there 😂, but you've earned that joke after having to deal with that. 🫡 Love your stuff. Hope to see it in person again at some point.
I just remember Steve Martin's line for hecklers "Yeah... I remember when I had MY first beer...".
You handled that AMAZINGLY!!! I would crumble into pieces 😅
Thanks man!
My god, I would have fallen apart. You were so good!
You are a hell of a showman, sir!

Great to see you posting again wes.
Feels good for sure
What a stressful show! You gave some hilarious responses - the audience loved it! Well done! 🙌⭐️🎉
Wes doesn't suck! Wes is the G.O.A.T! I'll fight someone over this!
Cool story. Thanks for sharing. Glad it worked out in the end
You handled that so well - Great video, Wes 😁🤘
Thanks! 😁

Good on you for keeping on. Sounds like they really liked your show
You were a good sport and handled it as well as you could. He was a drunken mess and you had every right to kick him out if you wanted.
THIS THIS THIS THIS...... I have been asking so many magicians to do this! FUCK YES!
Thanks!

You handled this so 😊well
I know wes' goal is a million subs. He will get to a million. But its a long road. Unless he gets a viral video. 🎉

The show did look entertaining even with the heckler. I know it added a different stress for you, but the audience enjoyed the ride.
i lived in Estevan and i have been to that theater lol great video!
Only Wes could turn drunkenness cinematic….bravo Sir👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❣️🤩
Hahaha 🍻
You're ready for Vegas! - Playing slots, j/k, I hope you get a gig there. I think you used a magnet to stand that washer up in the bottle?
I have to say I like the piké(?)-shirt with the green collar that you wear in the clips between the tricks.
It makes me think of 7-11, or Burger King, but in a good way. 🙂👍
Thanks, its my new favourite!
will you ever make it south to SF bay Area?

I suggest watching some Matt Rife for counter arguments😂
But, well handled, sir.
Nothing like those live yellp reviews.

Things happens.. Sorry for you and people were enjoying the show.

Exactly right.
do you usually have any security in case a heckler is super aggressive?
When did Morgan reilly start doing magic ?
If he didn’t consume just ( one to many )
I also don't think the magic show was good if West Barker finished the show with him tied up on a straight jacket without escaping
😂 it’s literally the more impressive feat
How about this " If you heckle and get a +, and you get on stage, think about how you can help. or the other thing STFU after your laugh

🤘😜Yeah man! Your channels 🤏so close to a ¼M SUBS😄👍 *That's 250,000 SUBSCRIBERS!* 🙌🃏🪄🎩
