The point you made at 14:00 is so key. I’ve played a lot of comp as well and always soloq to top ranks. When you’re losing and you start cheering your team mates on, it makes such a massive difference. I have won so many games this way, a little bit of encouragement goes a looong way.

I just watched this video, got motivated, when on my pc and played an hour of death match. I only aimed for the head and used the tips you gave. After that I loaded into a comp game and went 19 kills with five deaths while I usually barely stay positive. All I can say is thanks

I can't stress this enough, everything you've said in this video is super important. Thank you so much for making such a clear and thought out guide that's explained really well.
It's crazy how this works. Pinpointing your weaknesses is the key to becoming strong, as this video explains. My aim and mentality were holding me back, and as soon as I improved those two I ranked up so fast. Fast and no bs. We need more creators like this
After this video I hopped into the range and started practicing a little bit, after that I joined a few deathmatches and in the beginning it was hard to shake the idea that I'm there to practice, not win. But after my first game, I changed my mentality to not try too hard, and just focus on practicing my weakness. After that, I won the second deathmatch without even trying. My mentality also immediately changed too. I usually get very upset or mad when I'm getting killed repeatedly or losing, but after watching this video I'm not as upset anymore, I don't get too mad because I'm reminding myself that it's just practice, it's just for fun. Thank you for this video Sero.
My personal goals: - maximum 3 ranked games per day - VOD reviews, acknowledge mistakes - watch pro players - warm up in range and deathmatch (10-20min) - learn better movement - correct sensitivity and keybinds - communicate everything and strategize
The part that has helped me the most so far is literally not queueing a thousand games a day! Thank you!!!! Got to GC2 in RL literally by queueing a few a day getting my mmr, and getting tf out of solo queue lol. The chaos of Valorant had me totally forget this !! I find that most people tell new players “you just have to keep queuing ranked games for more experience” or, just play as many games as you can you’ll get better. I feel like that’s an easy way to get burnt out and not enjoy because it’s easy to get a toxic match here and there. Thanks again! Lol
I will not lie I stopped playing for 2 acts and now that I'm back I dropped to plat 3 from asc 2 and I have just noticed recently cuz I mainly duo's with a friend we were both decent mechanically, I had the good mental and he had good gamesense and positioning. I have realised that my gamesense is growing, as in I have positioned myself better and knowing rotations as I have called out what enemies will do before it happens. This has been seen by my friends as i have become a fantastic fade main since i can control all of the info, i can position better around the info i am taking away from the enemies. I stumbled on this video and it has opened my eyes that I am improving the side of the ladder that is my weakness, and it has shown me that my current winstreak taking me almost to d2 is because I have been improving and bot just mindlessly playing the game. Sry for rant
This was a very helpful and informative video for me so I can hopefully get out of gold😊. One thing I would recommend though is after u go over a point, try to implement a question after each one. For example, for the positioning point, you could ask “based on their team comp, what are some things that could happen while holding a main on ascent? And how can you avoid punishment from it?”
This was a really good video! I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first saw it cause there are dozens of these guides out there, but this one was really solid and well organized! Thank you!
I was stuck in Bronze for 5 months then I started doing ur PREMS method, I got to Silver 2 after 1 week of consistent practice with your aim routines, etc. Thank you so much!! Hopefully I get to Gold in no time ❤️❤️❤️
I've been hardstuck silver for about a year and a half and lets see how much I can improve! Thank you Sero for this no BS guide! will update if I improve!
One of the most exceptionally well planned guides out there, though suffering from social anxiety when using vc is a major setback for me lol so I just improved my typing speed
You actually summed up every basic thing that i have been reasearching on valorant through multiple videos where i spent hours to understand so this is a pretty good video ngl
I'm so grateful to you for teaching me these things! especially when you said that we play only when you feel like we're going to win. because I used to force myself to play dozens of matches a day to rank up but all that happened was that I went down. you're so good at teaching me tips, I really like it. keep it up!
man I LOVE YOU... i only play 3-4 games a day and thought would never escape low elo. I started following these tips from yesterday and played 3 games and won all with positive KD. THANKS DUDE
Idk if someone will see this, but I used to be bronze when I watched this video and now I’m currently asc 2. This video is legit and take the advice to heart
I've watched this vid like 3 times, and it really helps because it teaches u all the fundalmentals of the game, and I think this vid is one of the best val guides out there. Keep it up Sero!
6:10 In still Plat but I did exactly that to unbind keys to remove bad habits like spraying where I shouldn't, and one time when I was playing with an inmortal friend, I reloaded on a bad spot abd made us lose the round, so he told me to bind the reload to a far away key like "I" to remove my "Shoot one bullet" reload habit, and that actually helped me a lot
One of my biggest weaknesses in valorant is my mental. As a player who's been playing unrated for a long time i haven't really taken a win or loss too seriously and usually just look at my rank and say dang im really bad at this.
I recently reached Plat and all the time I used to spray the Vandal/Phantom for kills and ended up being dead. Someone showed me Sero’s video where he talked about PREMS method and it is working wonders. I am now having a stable aim and going for the headshot instead of random spraying. Thanks Sero!
I never take the time to comment or like videos but I actually like this video and seems very helpful. All other videos are like “work on your aim” lol thanks Sero! Just earned my sub!
I took ur advice and improved my gamesense. I realized I was dogshit that plays braindead like on deathmatch. Thanks to you I improved to bronze to gold in one act! Great video man. Keep it up.
Generally when trying to be positive while comming, i just get people telling me to stop giving useleff comms, also often when trying to give a game plan people just say im backseating.
As someone stuck in silver constantly hitting the bottom of the leaderboard each game, thank you for this. I’ll try these out while I play and hopefully I’ll end up in a similar situation like you.
You make all good points. I just feel like it is truly impossible for me to ever catch up in mechanics to the average valorant player who has a background of 10k+ hours in PC shooters, whereas I have no background. Barely any CSGO, CoD, anything. It's extremely discouraging to play deathmatches and struggle to get 20 kills while the rest of the lobby is swinging around corners getting kills before the game even shows them stop to shoot. I've been top 0.1% in Rocket League so I believe I have what it takes mentality wise and could build the gamesense, but raw aim feels insurmountable to catch up with. The furthest I've ranked so far is Gold 3 in my first ranked act, but I chalk that up partially to luck because I'm rarely top 3 in kills on my team.
Guys just to let you know I haven't ranked up but I have seen massive improvement to my mentality...and the quote every single game is winnable works only for those that actually have faith and they will give their 100% of themselves...it's something that worked for me. Also boosting up your teammates confidence is so game changing. Last but not least is that match MVP means nothing. DROP YOUR EGO NOW
Thank you so much for this detail video. These informations are gold. I am a top500 overwatch player that never touched valorant and having this well explained video as a learning support really helps starting my journey. Best tutorial i have ever seen for a video game as complex and fast paced as valorant.
Bro thank u so much i have trash aim but i think i have good gamesens and ok mentality and 3 days after this video i ranked up twice by using my pluses the most in comps and focusing on get better in my weaknesses
Respect that Video has insane quality and is structured really well. I really enjoyed watching it and also learned a lot that i will hopefully be able to use in the future!
The 1st tip will help me alot! I headshot nearly every kill I make ever since I reached silver, I always was top fragging but still died every round because of my gamesense. It's my 1st time in a year and my 1st game *unrated* was a 51/11 game which got me overconfident. Now i know the game sense is the problem. TY
back here again after dropping another rank to realize i was only doing 1-2 of these things. actually taking notes this time and have figured out most of the base line plan for my road to immortal. I already have a friend in immortal who’s my duo (not for my current games on my main) who i’ll be trying to vod my videos with so i can get an unbiased opinion of someone who is at the skill level i’m currently trying to reach. Also gonna rewatch all your videos I saved for a slight refresher then each week will be dedicated to specifically working on what mechanic i and others see im currently struggling with the most
Tbh this is an insane video it's so good and useful I took a lot of notes and am gonna try to apply most of them from now on and try to focus more. Thanks for the video ❤
16:50 He's right about the spamming match and playing a lot, I tried playing for almost 24 hours straight with games back to back and my RR just went up and down the whole time even though I didn't rage or tilt. The take back is play when you're feeling super confident cuz then you will land your shots and make clear decisions properly
You should include your gaming rig and other physical constraints (such as visual impairment) as the material from which the "skill ladder" was built. You can't build a ladder without enough material.
You definetly have the best videos for people trying to improve at the game. I will always go to you if i need to get better at something Valorant-related. I strongly agree with what you are saying: Valorant is a game split into 3 different areas of skill: Mechanics, gamesense and mentality. But i dont think everyone can go from silver to immortal in 1 act. My theory is that you had lots of experience in CS:GO, so therefore you already had the 2 hardest parts of the 3 unlocked: Mechanics and Mentality. You had great aim, but little to no gamesense. You just needed to improve your gamesense, which is the easiest, as it comes with time. But this video definetly helped a lot of people (including myself) so just keep up the good work. I played the game for +4 hours a day from march 2022 to september 2022 and i got to diamond 1. At diamond 1 i just stoppes playing because the game was boring and now im coming back, but this time im trying to take more breaks and focus more on the mental part too.
I hate ff especially when teammates want to in first half my team once won a 3v5 since 4th round the other 2 teamates power went out. we were being positive and encouraging each other, it's one of my best games cause I was really focusing and actually being smart with plays since it was all down to three of us each round, I regret it not being recorded so I can look back on what I did.
BROTHER I HAVE MASTERED ALL OF THESE TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY... i have great aim/reaction time.. my game sense is my strongest attribute and i dont care about losing cause i understand Val gives you as much wins to loses, so it literally doesnt bother me anymore.... **BUT WHEN I TELL YOU** there is something wrong with my game... i seriously think there is something wrong with my game.. Im not kidding you when i say no matter what i do.. what rank of lobby im in... im ALWAYS getting insta-headshotted like my head hitbox is the size of the moon. People are like "dont crouch spray" so i tried strafing left and right for a season and i got insta-headshotted even more. I started taking statistics on how many times i get insta-headtapped vs a streamer in my ranking. They get inst-headshotted about 10% of the time and in comparison i do like that around 80% of the time. Im talking about deaths where you cant even blink, let alone get a bullet out.. It doesnt matter if im running strafing.. wide swinging.. crouching.. 8/10 engagements i am insta-headtapped so fast i cant even get a bullet out. I dont even see that happen to radiant streamers anywhere near as often as me.. it just feels like anytime the enemy shoots in my direction it always magnetizes to my head. I know the first thought you have is.. yea bro, we all go through that... Correct... thats not my complaint. I have statiscally proven it happens to me significantly way more than anyone else. I have put equal amounts of watching people play to how much i play.. have done literal statistics and something is genuinely wrong on my end. It doesnt matter if i turn the corner jumping going 100mph, sliding.. crouched,, wide strafe.. slowly.. peaking in and out.. NOTHING WORKS im instadead 80% of the time. im losing my mind cause theres nothing left for me to try. I think my game is just broken. SOMEONE PLS HELP Im at the point where im willing to pay for someone to figure out my problem.
Subscribed! I will try my best to rank up, and i know im stuck in silver because of myself, but just after watching this video, im already feeling better and playing a lil better! Thank you sooo much bro!
Instead of stopping at 2 or 3 matches if you really want to play alot, you could warmup a bit play some ranked matches and if you lose too much some unranked instead.
For warmup I think just 5-10 mins in the range + a dm or 2 is fine. But really judging if u feel up for comp/whether its just a genuinely bad day is good too. Radiant or Iron, some days are just not it for aim.
alot of this i sadly learned years ago from either other videos or just by playing, was hoping to see some new ones but it covers all the main things for newer people at least :D my mentality and gamesence is already alot higher than my rank (currently gold 2) my main issue which i learned by rewatching myself is that my aim is not consistent, i already play with 800dpi .44 sens but i am steadily improving and ranking up just due to positioning, knowing even a 12-0 is winnable and being able to get into the enemy mindset and predict when and how they rotate (picked that up from playing online rts games)
LOVE YOU GUYS 😄

This is the most real valorant video on RUclips. Legit
I got 6000 hours in csgo and I have those skills down, but I definitely fall
Short on the game sense and awareness aspect with this game having so much more to think about. I think rewatching my own game play is definitely a wise move
I used buff already. But riot code doesnt claimable in sea/apac, I just redeem another game after that.but tbh, it is worth it.

Extremally helpful I have ranked up from silver 2 to plat 3 because of you so I want to say ty
He makes better Valorant guides as all the others together 😂
HOW?!???!
I'm so grateful to you for teaching me these things! especially when you said that we play only when you feel like we're going to win. because I used to force myself to play dozens of matches a day to rank up but all that happened was that I went down. you're so good at teaching me tips, I really like it. keep it up!
problem with low elo is that a lot of duelist insta locks say "dont tell me what to do"
man I LOVE YOU... i only play 3-4 games a day and thought would never escape low elo. I started following these tips from yesterday and played 3 games and won all with positive KD. THANKS DUDE
Idk if someone will see this, but I used to be bronze when I watched this video and now I’m currently asc 2. This video is legit and take the advice to heart
ik this vid was 6 months ago, but my friend sent this to me and it has helped me improve a lot, so thank you
i swear this guy actually make valorant study guide like a teacher and told right things!
Bro woke up and decided to make the best tutorial the world has ever seen
Its crazy how accurate you described everything I’ve done wrong and how many facts you named that I think willl be perfect for me to rank up
I recently reached Plat and all the time I used to spray the Vandal/Phantom for kills and ended up being dead.
Really took this in, thank you for the advice it's like having a free coach
I watched so many videos on Valorant, this is actually the most useful one I have watched so far. Thank you so much
I took ur advice and improved my gamesense.
Is this the only non clickbait vid about ranking up on yt? Most probably
I have a bad habit in death match where when I'm low on health I will always rush into the health thing (always ended up dying 😅)
DROP YOUR EGO NOW
I have plastic 2 mentality and I was aim training while he said no matter how much you aim train you won't rank up if u have bad mentality/game sense
Thank you so much for this detail video. These informations are gold. I am a top500 overwatch player that never touched valorant and having this well explained video as a learning support really helps starting my journey. Best tutorial i have ever seen for a video game as complex and fast paced as valorant.
Bro I saw a lot of mistakes in common on my game play because of you I am gonna be able to fix them thank you
yo this is lowkey the best rank up guide i have ever seen
Bro thank u so much i have trash aim but i think i have good gamesens and ok mentality and 3 days after this video i ranked up twice by using my pluses the most in comps and focusing on get better in my weaknesses
To be for real this video helped me get out of bronze and its still helping, subscribe
TY
I kind of wish my teammates saw this video. They always rush solo even when being defender and die on site. Then they go ahead and blame the others.
back here again after dropping another rank to realize i was only doing 1-2 of these things. actually taking notes this time and have figured out most of the base line plan for my road to immortal.
Watching these instead of queueing ranked thanks Sero!
Very helpful and good structured Video!
Tho the mindset part is focusing on effect not on causes of the bad mindset but this is a great introduction to mindset. Thanks !
I understand now why i'm not improving my mentality is at 0 every time i'm playing thanks you for this mine of information.
This guide covers literally everything you need wth
I’ve watched this 3 times and I’m using it to get to pred in apex no matter what
16:50 He's right about the spamming match and playing a lot, I tried playing for almost 24 hours straight with games back to back and my RR just went up and down the whole time even though I didn't rage or tilt. The take back is play when you're feeling super confident cuz then you will land your shots and make clear decisions properly
that one line of your biggest weakness is your rank is acc so helpful to change the way you look at the game and how you play
This video is insane im gonna rewatch this every day before going in ranked 😁
4:42 as a high sens player in general, that change would kill me
(I play on 1800 dpi and 0.3 in-game)
First actually helpful video ive seen, thanks! And everyone remember, IT IS ALWAYD WINNABLE
The general aspect of this vid can be apply to others PVP as well, good content
Funny enough, I ranked up from bronze to Diamond in a single episode. I didn’t see this video, but this was exactly what I have been doing. 😂
SOMEONE PLS HELP
Im at the point where im willing to pay for someone to figure out my problem.
this could work for any game honestly, great advice
The best video on gaming improvement I have ever seen
Watched This 3 month ago already Diamond ! Thank you so much
thank you so much. after taking this advice, I have successfully deranked to iron from diamond. Thanks again!
jk im getting to immortal this act. love you
this is awesome , after watching this video I improved little by little everyday
How do you improve teammates who purposely throw the game telling where everyone is, throwing utility at you? Holding spike💀
Subscribed! I will try my best to rank up, and i know im stuck in silver because of myself, but just after watching this video, im already feeling better and playing a lil better!
Thank you sooo much bro!
This advice which is suppose to be about a shooting video game is weirdly applicable in real life situations too lol
this was best how rank up valorant video i have seen Thank you so much 😍😍😍 i should watch 5.6 times 😅
yo actually no bs. thank you for the video and also u seem like the kinda teammate that if you have on your team you have +90% win chance
I really love your videos, they have gotten me from Silver 1 to Diamond 1 in just one act, please do more of theese
Instead of stopping at 2 or 3 matches if you really want to play alot, you could warmup a bit play some ranked matches and if you lose too much some unranked instead.
Hardstuck at S2 the past couple days. I’m ready to use the information from this video to rank up quicker
Best Guide i have ever seen
I’m taking a break right now, when I come home I’m gonna watch ur videos and use ur methods ❤
For warmup I think just 5-10 mins in the range + a dm or 2 is fine. But really judging if u feel up for comp/whether its just a genuinely bad day is good too. Radiant or Iron, some days are just not it for aim.
alot of this i sadly learned years ago from either other videos or just by playing, was hoping to see some new ones but it covers all the main things for newer people at least :D my mentality and gamesence is already alot higher than my rank (currently gold 2) my main issue which i learned by rewatching myself is that my aim is not consistent, i already play with 800dpi .44 sens but i am steadily improving and ranking up just due to positioning, knowing even a 12-0 is winnable and being able to get into the enemy mindset and predict when and how they rotate (picked that up from playing online rts games)
by steadily inproving i mean that after doing two hours of aim training for once (never do aimtraining normally) i have won 21 out of my last 24 comps
Video idea: comms guide i think many people will like it me included 'cause i struggle with them a lot.
dude... the amount of people that bring down mental in lower ranks is crazyyyyy.
