Kimberly, if you cut your stack of FQs to 18.5” before cutting the two 8.5” rectangles, you can use the scraps for a scrappy binding by adding one WOF strip from your backing fabric.
You are so right! But I would save those 2.5" x 8.5" even if I didn't know this. Great for potholders or string blocks. I would love to be just outside of the camera shot to snatch up what she considers waste 🤣🤣
This is really cute! I wish you would start including patterns with the Moda fat quarter club!! It’s not always easy to find cute patterns to use with 12 fat quarters!
Ohmygosh, I was trying to figure out a quilt block to use that would show the fabric, meaning big pieces as opposed to little blocks that would hide the great pattern. This is it!
Omg! Thank for this! I have so many fat quarters from the club and had no idea what to do with them. Would you make some patterns using your mini charm and charm pack clubs? Thank you for all you and your staffs do for your customers? May God continue to bless you in all you do!
Love this!!! New quilter here, started in Late May. I joined Moda & Lori Holt FQS monthly to build my stash, so I have some FQ to make one of these! Thanks for sharing!
I love the movement in the quilt. What an easy and fun slice and dice, short-cut quilt. It looks wonderful. It will be great the next time I find fabric that is so pretty I don’t want to cut it up!!
This a so simple, yet so pretty! Thank you for sharing, FQS! I'm going to see if I can make this with a F8th bundle. I've got a Sunwashed bundle and this pattern made me think of that fabric immediately. Let's hope the F8s are cut straight-ish. Otherwise, I've got a few (ok, a lot!) of FQs I could use.
Beautiful! I need to save this pattern! What's the measurement for this quilt? I know it's basically a 3 yard quilt but I might need to make it bigger for my guys. I have some Aboriginal fabric and I think this would be a neat pattern for them.
Every fat quarter is cut into two 8 1/2" X 18 1/2" rectangles. Set rectangles side by side vertically. Left rectangle: Mark left side at 2" from the top and 4" from the bottom. Mark top right 4" from the top and 2" from the bottom. Draw a line from top mark on left side to top mark on right. Draw a line from bottom mark on left side to bottom mark on right. Right rectangle: Mark left side at 4" from the top and 2" from the bottom. Mark top right 2" from the top and 4" from the bottom. Draw a line from top mark on left side to top mark on right. Draw a line from bottom mark on left side to bottom mark on right. Cut on drawn lines. Anybody want to proof this for me?
Hello Kimberly I use all my too small scraps for stuffing for animal beds to send to our local humane society. They really appreciate the beds. Video idea?
I have some "fat quarters" i bought in a bundle and after ironing them I cannot get 18 1/2 I can only get 17/1/2 can I just shorten them and get the same result 17 1/2 by 8 1/2

Those scraps are a good size to save for smaller projects: mug rugs, pot holders. Or cut into smaller squares.
I was thinking a perfect size for a bookmark.
This quilt sounds so straightforward. I'm looking forward to making one.
Great way to use our fat quarter subscriptions ❤

Awesome pattern! Can’t wait to stash bust some FQ’s so I can get back in the fat quarter clubs!
Cool! It looks like stairs to me. Very dimensional

Don't build your stash too big or you'll end up as a fabric hoarder/admirer not a quilter. The fabric also takes over your house!!
Kimberly, great pattern. I, don't usually like quilts with big blocks, but this would be perfect
for children's quilts. Thank you!
Fantastic! I have a ton of FQs I can use and give quilts away.
I love this! I have a fat quarter bundle I can use for this. Thank you so much!
Easy peasy that’s what I want ❤
I love this, so easy!❤

I’m a “want to be a quilter” and this may be my learning quilt. Could this be a quilt as you go? Thank you for so much inspiration!!
Love a no waste pattern to use my big prints!❤

I love these quick quilts. This one turned out so cute. I especially loved the planned scrappy one.
So easy!!! Thanks FQS!

This is so cool!! I'm doing this!
❤ would this work with fat eighths ?
I was just thinking the same thing - 24 F8s is the same amount of fabric. As long as the F8s are cut straight-ish to start with.
@@IndecisiveQuilter I. Going to have to measure
Hello Caroline! Yes, it would work with Fat Eighths.

I'm having a problem...my Flatter leaves a spot on my fabrics. What can I do about it?
Can’t find the pattern link.
Hello Deb! There is not a written pattern, the video is the tutorial.
Is there a downloadable pattern?
Kimberly said there is not.
Precuts are to costly.
