    It was frozen because the water lost energy; as there was no pressure in the vacuum the energy contained by water molecules by means of their state ( liquid) was used to boil the water and once that energy was used up, molecules became slower and the state changed from liquid to solid. And as sir said ( 5:39 )...it's now crystal clear for me..❤❤
    Edit:- Thanks BYJU'S for this wonderful concept😍😍❤

    Freezing happens when the molecules of a liquid get so cold that they slow down enough to hook onto each other, forming a solid crystal. We have saw here that the water was at 0 degree Celsius which is the freezing point of water and also air bubbles were coming out of the water when it was boiling. After some time the air bubbles were all gone out from the water so it froze.

    Boiling is an endothermic reaction. So, when the water is boiling it takes all the heat from the surrounding in a vacuum. So, the temperature of the surrounding decreases, freezing the water.

    Boiling of water is an exothermic change that is it releases heat. When we heat and boil water, heat is released but at the same time heat is added also. But in vaccum, the water boils , but we are not supplying heat . So heat is just released and not absorbed. As the heat is released, water freezes

    Sir think that it would be.The boiling point of a liquid depends on the external air pressure. When water is placed under vacuum, the boiling point decreases and the water boils. Boiling, however, is an endothermic process-as the water boils, the temperature decreases, and the water soon freezes!

    Because of vapour formation the pressure inside the glass decreases and low pressure means low friction among water molecules which makes temperature to decrease and low temperature freezes the water inside the glass.

    Continuing to run a vacuum pump stops pressure of gaseous molecules from building up, allowing the boiling process to continue. … Eventually, the temperature of the liquid drops enough that it freezes.

    The reason is that it takes energy to pull a molecule out of the liquid, an that energy comes from the liquid itself. When the process goes rapidly, the temperature of the liquid drops enough that it freezes."

    The atmospheric pressure affects the freezing point of of a liquid also that`s why the glass of water inside the vacuum chamber had converted into ice.

    Does change in state causes cooling? So the remaining water freeze?

  • @sheetalagarwalla1241
    @sheetalagarwalla1241 2 года назад

    Instant vaporisation of water cause cooling effect which leads to significant drop in temprature and thereby it freezes. But in Boiling due to continuous transfer of heat the cooling effect gets overcomed by heating.

  • @paraskumar5725
    @paraskumar5725 2 года назад

    it is know clear that if we lower the pressure, the boiling point of water is lowered or decreases. at very low pressure the water will take latent heat of vaporization from itself to boil which will result in the decrement of temperature and thus water is converted into ice.
    i think this is the reason.

    The water freezes after sometime because in that chamber there is no atmospheric pressure that means there is no air so the heat that was trapped in the air is released so the temperature inside the Chamber is very low.

  • @harshitgupta7987
    @harshitgupta7987 2 года назад

    What i feel is that in the vaccum chamber the temperature would be very low cuz temprature is avg kinetic energy of particles
    It's just like space, there in space there are particles but the density is too low due to which it's cold there
    And
    Might be possible that
    a small amount of air had been taken out from that vessel due to which water has expanded and water expands on freezing

    I think that the water froze as the water needs less heat to boil in less atmospheric pressure,it also needs less cooling to freeze too.

    The water freeze bcz when it's start boiling it's evaporated water vapour thus ,there is more air pressure than boiling pressure and it's freeze.
    Edit -it can be wronged bcz I guess this🤞🤞

    It doesn’t boil without heat, 1 can say wout temp rise, but heat is definitely reqd to boil a water, it is taken up by hotter molecules by cooler molecules, making hotter molecules too getting cool down, but there is definite heat exchange while forming vapour
