I think the reason behind the freezing of supercooled water from top to bottom after the slam is that when slowly-slowly ice crystals were formed after that slam, it floats up because ice has a lower density than liquid water and that we eventually see as the freezing of water from top to bottom.
I think it has to do with inertia when you slam the bottle the supercooled water moves up and slams the bottle cap and the energy then travels from top to bottom
Yeah not exactly But according to me - Before hitting the bottle the molecules of water are in rest, if we hit the bottle, the bottle gives an external unbalanced force to the water molecules, so they starts moving randomly, this random movement cause the water molecules to form the hexagonal structure. The density of this hexagonal structure is less then the density of water, therefore the buoyant force causes this hexagonal structure to move in the upward direction.
The density of ice is less than that of liquid water. Therefore, ice floats on the surface. Thus, the ice layer at lower temperature floats over the water below it. Due to this, the freezing of water into ice occurs continuously from the top towards the bottom. Amazing explanation sir!!!
It is due to the convection forces..... The water which is cool moves down and on the other hand the water goes upwards to make the temperature uniform in the whole bottle . The water in the upper side moved down because it was cooled and the nudge made them perfectly aligned.
The ice starts freezing from the top and freezes last at bottom because of pressure . Water expands on freezing as water moleculer arranges themselves in hexagonal structures , because of this the pressure tries to resist it , due to this where there is more pressure, water takes more time to freeze . As there is less pressure on the top it freezed first and has higher pressure at bottom is higher so it took more time to freeze. When we give force from bottom by hitting the bottle in table , there we be change in momentum ie. bottom force tranfer to up . So that the water freeze from up to down
I think Its because of density difference between water and ice. Due to anomalous expansion of water, ice formed will rise and settles above water, as the process continues it later reaches the bottom. And thats why we see ice forming from top to bottom.
The Reason I think why freezing takes place from top to bottom: Inertia of Rest: When the bottle was slammed on the desk, and stopped on the horizontal surface the water at the lower level remained at rest, while the water at the higher level got the sudden jerk/ nudge needed to start the freezing into solid Anomalous Expansion of Water: We know ice is less denser than water due to the cage-like structure; causing it to have more empty spaces between its particles compared to the spaces between the particles of liquid water. Thus, the water (of the same temperature) but which froze earlier would float on the liquid water. Then I think energy travels from top to down and the extra jerk passes on the water below. This continues till there is enough jerk motion to freeze the water and (that is why I think the water near the base is still in liquid form)
The ice formed on the top exert an force downwards on the liquid which easily allows the molecules to form the cage and converting into ice and this process goes till the whole water is not converted into ice .
i think it happens because when we slam the bottle them lower water instantly give force to water in upper region and when it get more force then it will freeze instantly. by the way i think it can freeze more instantly when we give more pressure on it
It from a shape at the very beginning of bam . When 1st shape made then other molecules take this shape as common , for this reason it start at bottom and till to last . And also thanks to BYZU for such kind of beautiful video. ❤❤❤
i think this phenomenon happens due to their differences in the densities between water and ice....... at first , water get freeze and floats on it with the continuous process it seems to be like freezing from top to buttom
Inertia of rest has something to do with the instant freeze of water in bottle as when bottle falls upright to the horizontal surface the bottle stopped but ice from top was still in motion up to bottom and then instant freeze process takes place from top to bottom
May be the temperature difference, because there is difference in specify heat capacity of water and the bottle cap (pp or hdpe) leads to phase change of water by an external hitting force.
I think when he jerk the bottle on the table the upward force is exerted that pushes the water molecules upward to form cage like structure from the top hope that may be right👍👍👍👍👍
the nudge provided to water molecules due to the slam gets transferred to adjacent molecules from top to bottom l. hence freezing occurs from top to bottom
It has to do something with inertia but due to the gravitational force after the slam a kinetic energy was released from the top of the bottle and by which the gravitational force gave the kinetic energy a support , hence the water became to freeze from the top to the bottom. Please check this answer if it is wrong please correct me
Because when you have slammed the bottle the energy(movement) you have given just act as the movement in which the minerals helps to keep the molecular in a hexagonal shape .. which starts at top of the bottle because you have slammed towards down in which the molecules inside the water starts vibrating from the top of the bottle!..? Is that coooollll..! 🥶
I think it's about pressure!! We all know pressure is high at the bottom of bottle then the top, so obviously if there is high pressure...there should be more energy and hence Bottom part with high energy molecules take more effort to form a lattice like structure than top part! Hence we see top part (with low pressure hence low energy) freezing first then the freezing moves from top to bottom 😀 Am I right sir? 🤓
I think it has something to do with the slam. When we slammed it,the water moved upward because of this the jerk was first created at the top. Even if we slam the bottle up side down, the water will freeze from an up-to-down motion
Is it because when we take the bottle out of the refrigerator, the water molecules are at rest but when we slam the bottle , the water molecules stay at that place due to inertia of rest but the bottle moves down which makes the water molecules hit the cap of the bottle first so the water freezes from the top
I think when we slam the water, we first move the bottle at hand to top and then to surface. For the top movement, the topper molecules get frozen first and then it keeps freezing slowly and when we slam, the bottom molecules freeze instantly and we see that it is freezing from top to bottom. We don't notice the small portion frozen at top. Am I right byjus?
Because gravity pulls things down in other hand if we talk about ice in the water the ice will float because of the lesser density of ice and higher density of water
But sir we know that adding impurity cause depression in freezing point . Or here adding impurity means more solute than normal water . Please clarify this doubt sir
Is it because ice is less dense than liquid water? So while the top ice floats, it takes over the liquid water underneath by freezing it from up to down manner, does it?
I kept a bottle full of water in refrigerator. After few hours the water freezed. Then when I kept this bottle outside therefrigerator the ice started melting. When the ice melted half of its size I opened the bottle and then added water of normal temperature after sometime the bottle became dimpled as if air had been taken out. Why did this happen?
You said only 1 cage like structure has to be form and rest automatically formed by domino effect so first cage like structure your nudge made and rest domino effect moves below so........
I think the reason behind the freezing of supercooled water from top to bottom after the slam is that when slowly-slowly ice crystals were formed after that slam, it floats up because ice has a lower density than liquid water and that we eventually see as the freezing of water from top to bottom.
Amazing job Alokendra! Your response is absolutely right!
I think it has to do with inertia when you slam the bottle the supercooled water moves up and slams the bottle cap and the energy then travels from top to bottom
You have got the concept of inertia all wrong. I don't the answer to the question but I do know that the answer isn't inertia
makes sence to me
Not exactly but nice effort!
@@pritidmallik9151 i don't know dude I just told what I knew 😐😐
Yeah not exactly

think that you first ban the top so molicule at top started to join fast from top

I like Byju's Video Very much
The force was given in the direction of gravity means with gravity , so when stucked, the force is applied from top to bottom
THANK YOU
Under the gravity it freezes from top to bottom when it's slammed on the table
Excellent!!! Very educative. Keep sharing with us such innovative and creative videos. Kudos👏 to the team💐🌺🌹
Glad to know you are finding value in our educative content. We shall keep putting out creative content!
May be the temperature difference, because there is difference in specify heat capacity of water and the bottle cap (pp or hdpe) leads to phase change of water by an external hitting force.
I think first molecules start freezing from upwards to downward. Because of sampl or shake.
May be up to down change of pressure
You have said that when we discuss the arrangements, the it will goes law concentration level high concentration level
I think when he jerk the bottle on the table the upward force is exerted that pushes the water molecules upward to form cage like structure from the top hope that may be right👍👍👍👍👍
Sorry from the top
the nudge provided to water molecules due to the slam gets transferred to adjacent molecules from top to bottom l. hence freezing occurs from top to bottom
The four sees from upward to bottom so that where is the force is high at the top so that the water water frozen from top to bottom
Because there is less force on the surface molecules compare to downward molecules .
Bcz ice is less dense dense than water.hence, just as the water freezes and becomes ice it moves upwards.
Hey I think it's because of there is higher density of cooler thing so it started from above to below!
I think that warm air moves up and cold air sinks down so there would have been a similar fenomina

*i am talking about kinetic energy at molecular level
I think, the extra nudge started from the top and I think that's why freezing started from the top.I am not sure so please Byjus reply if I am wrong.

Second!!!!! Great sir keep coming with this types of vudeo

Am I right sir? 🤓
I think it can be the case of gravity as everything is pulled by it so maybe when u slam the bottle the gravity pulled it downward.
Nice...👍👍I also doing Byjus classes..live classes
It is a very good platform 😊👌👌👍👍💕💕
Because of gravity and they are very light and are much adversely affected by it so they move from up to down
The forse you applied moved in the up to down manner
teacher did magic 😉
If by magic you mean science, then yes. Science is truly magical! Glad to know you enjoyed the video!
I think it has something to do with the slam. When we slammed it,the water moved upward because of this the jerk was first created at the top.
Even if we slam the bottle up side down, the water will freeze from an up-to-down motion
Hey Abdul! Your answer is not entirely correct, keep trying!
it floats up because ice has a lower density than liquid water and that we eventually see as the freezing of water from top to bottom.
I thing Its Due to the Inertia of the H2O molecules And the moment you slap the bottle The force is added from top to the Bottom
I love learning from BYJU’S
Byus teacher are awesome I also have subscription

Try to hit the top of the bottle first.... And then see, if it starts freezing from the opposite end i.e. from the bottom
Slamming bottle results in super cooled water is likely moving up and slamming bottle cap results in transmission of energy from top to bottom
When you slammed the bottle the force is from up to down, that's why it froze from up to down.
I think the water freeze from top to bottom because of the gravity that's why the water don't freeze from down to the top
Because gravity pulls things down in other hand if we talk about ice in the water the ice will float because of the lesser density of ice and higher density of water
Because I think cold things havy so they go down and hot is light so they go upwards
Air pressure?
But sir we know that adding impurity cause depression in freezing point .
Or here adding impurity means more solute than normal water .
Please clarify this doubt sir
Should this be done in plastic bottles only?
Ice has less density than water, it floats on the surface of water. So solidified water will be on top.
Is it because ice is less dense than liquid water? So while the top ice floats, it takes over the liquid water underneath by freezing it from up to down manner, does it?
Great job Pigeon Fun! Thanks for the correct response!
I think because of density😅
I am second best teaching
Because unlike other substances water has lesser density when Frozen and it's the reason ice floats on water
Sir i have a doubt
Does the water freezers turn into solid
They will they melt if i open the lid
You are great sir you get 100000000000000000
I think it is because of inertia of motion and rest
Which part moves first freezes first..
Because of upthrust force
This is the for loving byzus
As it slamed down pressure goes upside and molecules started freezing from there
Which type of water is need to do this experiment?
Normal
Distilled water having no nucleation point . And the bottle should also not provide any nucleation point
Pure water
Pure
Pure water
At that moment water started to cool from top to bottom due to the anamolous property of water(from 0-4 ° C
Freezing has started from the top because .. upper lavel water contains more impurities
I have always been thinking about how the water remains in the liquid form even after it enters the freezing point . Now i know 😄
We are glad to help you heighten your understanding Syamadas!
Sir, you slamed the bottle in downward position so the water was freezed from up to bottom
Is it because of gravity
You said only 1 cage like structure has to be form and rest automatically formed by domino effect so first cage like structure your nudge made and rest domino effect moves below so........
I think it could be because of convection or gravity
Great
Nice video bro
It go down because during cooling it goes alway downward
Nice
I think of that the force they got for freezing the force goes down by gravity and and made the water to freeze from upside down.....
Appreciate the creative thought process behind your answer, but it isn't the right answer. Maybe you would like to try again?
But presence of impurities lowers the freezing point of water, contrary to what has been explained in the video
Nice🔥🔥
Comments :Reasons and Answers
Meanwhile Me:How to do it in HOME..WAITS for that part in VIDEO..
As ice is less dense then the water
Just like some people. They won't do what they're supposed to do until you slam them against a hard surface.
Because cold air goes down
reason - perhaps convection
Due to gravity??
Nice 😊😊👍👍
It started freezing from the top because the force was basically exerted from the top
becoz the force is downword due to hand effort and graviry
Because cool air settles down and hot rises up
5th grader from my point of view as the density of the ice is heavier it goes from up to down
Because the wave started from top to bottom
Maybe because of the energy
Because of gravity
Density
