Fred was a strong tropical storm.
It knocked out power to some 13,000 people in Puerto Rico.
400,000 people lost power in the Dominican Republic as Fred passed.
36,000 people lost power in Florida, while serious street flooding resulted in some areas.
Fred produced some 16 tornadoes in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
The remnants of Fred resulted in several tornadoes in Pennsylvania.
