Tom Cruise lands his helicopter at London Heliport

- What a luck! Maybe the quitest day in London heliport, we were standing in the wind for 5 hours in hope of spot some helicopters, when suddenly this chopper appeared...
Lot of people love Tom Cruise because his acting, but he also a hero for aviation fans, because he is a fixed wing and helicopter pilot too, he got his pilot licence in 1994.
He had a lof of pilot roles in Hollywood, Maverick in Top Gun, Barry Seal in American Made and Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible Fallout.
During the shooting of Mission Impossible Fallout, Tom flew the AS-350 Ecureuil helicopter on his own, and made alot of crazy stunts with it.
As I heard, he usually fly this helicopter all around the UK.
The Eurocopter AS350 Écureuil is a single-engine light helicopter originally designed and manufactured in France by Aérospatiale. It became the world's most widely used helikoter type. The type became very popular also in the United States, they named it „Star” precisely „A-Star”.

Sokan szeretik Tom Cruiset színészi alakításai miatt, de a repülés világában is sokak példaképe, mert nem elég, hogy ikonikus pilóta karaktereket formázott meg, de ő maga is pilóta.
Nem kell bemutatnom Mavericket a Top Gunbol, vagy Barry Sealt az American madeből, viszont az egyik legkülönlegesebb alakítása a legújabb Mission Impossible-ben volt, ahol eddig egyedülállóként, a forgatás közben, kaszkadőr pilóta helyett maga a színész vezette a helikoptert, amivel a filmben komoly manővereket mutatott be.
Értesüléseink szerint, amikor Tom az Egyesült Királyságban tartózkodik, ezzel a helikopterrel szokott repkedni.
Az AS-350 Ecureuil egy egyhajtóműves könnyű helikopter az egykori francia Aérospatiale gyártól. A típus a világ egyik legelterjedtebb helikoptere lett. Az Egyesült Államok piacára berobbanva hatalmas sikereket ért el, el is nevezték „STAR”-nak, egész pontosan „A-STAR”-nak.

Not the easiest helicopter to land either.
I've worked and flown on this model quite a bit. It gets to be a handfull in ground effect.

1:11 Is no-one gonna mention the stray hi-viz floating around by the fire truck? A tiny heliport and they can't manage to keep loose items clear!

@@4.22AM As I said, it's tiny. I deliver there regularly so I'm well aware. I was commenting about the dangerous debris floating around in the helicopter downwash.

Most helicopters have the PIC on the right side. Some don’t even have controls on the left side.
Most helicopters the PIC is on right hand side……some exceptions like the Hughes
