I've had motor coaches by Prevost, Blue Bird, and several "regular" RVs, but none did their job as well as my old 1991 Ford RV...the exact model you have shown. I remember that the cab overhang shaded the cab and that kept me from constantly running the AC. I could even drive 70 mph with the drivers window down and the fresh air came in but without all the noise! She was a great RV...and cheap too!
Very nice! I have a 1985 econoline coachman. Its a van with no camper style like yours. I love yours. The front dash of yours is identicle to mine. I had to do a rebuild in mine as the original owners took everything out when they decided not to use the kitchenette, bathroom, and bed in it any longer. They ruined it really. Thanks for the tour I love it!
1991 was the last year for those third generation Ford fullsize vans. Production started in 1975 but the square shaped headlamps didn't come out until I believe 1979.
I have a 1991 Tioga basically the same exact layout. Fiberglass though instead of metal siding which sucks. Fiberglass is a pain to fix. I like how you raised the bed. So much more storage. Also, do you have a part number for the mirrors you used? That’s exactly what we are wanting/needing.
Your RV needs a new radiator pressure cap or a radiator cap that's why your radiator is dripping antifreeze or engine coolant that's normal only needs a cap
Awesome stuff!! Im in the process of rebuilding an '84 460 block 24ft. been documenting it all on my channel! I have to ask, where did you get those mirrors? they are quite beautiful
AC unit needs ALL new o rings also all rubber hoses then you will have no problem with your AC also your radiator new radiator cap nothing serious only getting old ONLY a few parts really normal and then your radiator will stop leaking also dripping engine coolant
Let's try some math. At 8mpg on a 750 mile road trip, that is about 93.75 gallons of gas. At today's price of gas, you're looking at $414.38 for gas (4.42/gal). Now let's compare that to my 20yo grand cherokee that gets 20mpg on the freeway, the same trip would cost me $165.75, a difference of $248. If I want to stop half way to spend the night, that leaves me twice as much money as I need for a room as well as dinner out for a few people. The only advantage an RV gives you is you can take all your stuff with you. and not have to pack/unpack every night and you can pull over in an emergency to use the bathroom. That said, that is pretty good mileage for an older motorhome.
Yea, if you’re in a rush and only spending two nights in an economic hotel then almost the same price. But if you’re taking your time and enjoying the journey then that’s where it’s more affordable having an RV.
I never understand why people blur their license plates in videos or pictures. I mean, you show the plate to thousands of people every time you drive it.
I have the exact same rig, same paint scheme, year etc.. I average between 8.6 and 9.3 mpg depending on terrain, cruise speed etc. And yes, it hurts to fill it up but she's a very reliable and comfortable rig and I don't know that similar size gas powered class C's do much better on mpg

Those slots in the front next to the cupholders are spaces for a track tapes. Old school
Casette tapes were all the rage.
Love that body style over the newer 93 up. I had an 87 I should have kept. Enjoy your rv
Thanks for the comment! We love that body style as well.

I like what you've done with it.
Love the Mirrors! Where did you buy them?
You can put a receiver hitch under the center of the front bumper so you can put 9ne of those bicycle racks in oron it
Well if you open up a few windows in the back with the door windows open in the front..... it will cool down a bit
Needed to get the heater mirrors
I had a 77 econoline Van..paid 2500$ in Richmond V.A. in 1990..it was very reliable..only the mechnical fuelpump broke once..🤔

This is a very beautiful mobile home. The new Ford F450 is very noisy. Is it noisy in the cabin at 70 miles these years?
Bought one today 🎉

It’s all about the freedom and fun of camping life tho.

Do you have the 16.5 " wheels? If not what size are you running. I like the motor home. The reason I'm asking is that I just bought one.
No. 16 inch wheels. 215/85r16 tires
I have a 1988 Jamboree Rallye
I replaced those ugly mirrors on mine 😂

I've always thought the exact same thing. It's funny
So people on the internet don’t target you in the event that they don’t like you.
@@Clusie Because nobody that drives near you might not decide they don't like you? 🤔
@@brianvandy4002 😒 you wouldn’t understand.
Where is the brain the electronic control module located within this coach
I’m getting one it’s just me and my 2 dogs living with my parents moved back after me and my ex split.

What are the traditional prices for this type of car, especially the 1990s model
I just bought an 88 that looks identical to this for 9k
@@bairfreedom Thanks, I was just looking at it because I liked the idea, a car house
Traditional? This ain’t got nothing to do with tradition, The more popular these become, the more they’re gonna cost.
Where did you get the mirrors?
We got these from 4 state trucks, but you can similar mirrors at jegs, or amazon, and many other places.
What's the mpg on this RV?
Very low, it’s no daily driver.
Which one of you guys is the power Bottom?
Chrome box on the back? Thats aluminum
The music junked another video 👎👎👎👎💩💩💩😬
