omg!!! i audibly gasped when u mentioned salmon at 15:05, it was the only symbol i was thinking about while i was waiting to finish watching the video before i would start to meditate... funnily enough i was compared to a salmon by the choir teacher when i was singing at my church choir, she then explained to me that it was because i was going against the flow of the whole choir, much like a salmon swimming against the stream in a river (i was a bad singer lol) and the imagery just stuck with me because of how funny i thought it was. I immigrated 4 years ago and kept seeing visions of salmon swimming upstream in my dreams, which provoked me to read up on the "salmon run", the whole process of salmon, which are natural immigrants in nature, completing their journey back to the top of the mountain, swimming upstream to lay their eggs where the flow of the river is calm and habitable for their offspring. the whole life of salmon seems to be interesting, and I was unconsciously doodling fish in my pastime... hearing you mention salmon specifically and not just any fish seems like some sort of weird and interesting synchronicity, and i feel like it's a sign from the universe that there's something deeper lying beneath the symbolism that could help me channel my subconscious thoughts, thank you for the video :-)
Just correncting a minor mistake, Jung wasn't a psychoanalist. He was psychistra. He took part of psychoanalytical movement but after the breaking of his relationship with Freud, he develop his own psychology that he called complex psychology or analytical psychology. You can check that in 2 of his books: volume 4 and 16 of his Collect Works. There is a huge differece between junguian psychoterapy and psychoanalise.
Thanks Ruth, nicely explained. I’m going to have a go with my dream last night - of two ignition keys, of a car and a motorbike, that wouldn’t turn....
Well done! I can begin with a powerful image from this morning's dream. I already see and feel the struggle I am having with myself. Perhaps Jung's technique will expedite resolution.
Thanks for taking a look folks. Please do comment, LIKE and subscribe if you can! 🙂🌱
