Thank you for the video. I am into week 7 since my Achilles surgery but all the physical therapists are booked up until next month . =( Researching the PT and protocols. Found you video really helpful.
I had this kind of injury some years ago didnot have any operation it took me to get back to normal condition a couple of years İ could say it was a nightmare not only phsically but also emotionally
Anyone with an injury saying they're however many days in and can they do the exercise yet need to NOT do the exercise and wait until they see a professional. No one on the internet will be able to answer that question without knowing about your injury and professionally examining it first. However, I will say that if you are going to still go ahead and do physical rehab exercises you find online when you have an active injury I would suggest that if what you're doing at ANY point hurts to STOP doing it. Do not move until pain occurs, stop the movement before. The "no pain, no gain" approach does not work well in healing most injuries. Also, you want a professional there when you do it to make sure you're doing the exercises correctly... if you're not you won't get the benefits and you may actually cause more harm.
Hi Peter, when was this video after your surgery?I m 17days from surgery, but My foot still on a plantar position, and I feel pain if it's on flat foot/ neutral position.... Maybe I m too scared of pain I haven't let myself try..... Any advice? Thanks, june
Hi Peter i have done left leg tendon rupture surgery i was now 11 week one week before i started physiotherapy stretches. My worrie is my getting swelling if sit one place. Is not normal? Who had surgery please ans the questions
TNX FOR THE VIDEO !!! ITS BEEN 40 DAYS SINCE MY INJERY ...AND I LL START REHAB NEXT WEEK ... SO MY QUASTION IS ... SHOULD I START THESE EXERCISES FROM DAY 1,??? ...BECAUSE IM AFRAID THAT IF I DO MUCH PRESSURE THE ACHILLES TENDON. IT WILL BE RAPTURED AGAIN !!! SO HELP ME OUT
Antwuan Stinson wow, almost as close as mine. My incision is healing good, and more comfortable on my walking boot, I kinda massage my foot at night before bed, very light like around the calf area. The last thing I need is muscle cramps at night because of little use.... lol in 4 weeks I was told I can probably start physical therapy. But yes , I can tell is going to be a slow process. Although the orthopedic bend my foot to like a 90° when I saw him last week, but can't bend it not even half way on my own... One day at a time is all we can do.. Oh yeah, and first thing I did after 3 days of surgery was STOPPED taking those bad medications ( Percocet) ufffff bad shit!!!! I stick to ibuprofen for now....... LOL 🤣 Well good luck with your recovery.
Danny Ramirez July 4, 2018 This is 4 months after surgery (Feb 26). Finally walking long distances without the boot. The tendon is very stiff but morning exercises are best. I did not think I would ever reach this point but I am happy to be walking up and down stairs freely.
Thanks! Progress updates, unfortunately not. I'm back to where i started again. However, i got some dope updated videos of me working out and what not coming soon. So stay tuned! FYI: I'm bulking now. It's bulking season bruh! ;)
Hi Yang, im 4weeks post-op but I can’t put my foot on a 90degree normal angle, ny tendon is like a frozen rubberband and so stiff.. What can you advise?
I am going on 6 months partial tear of the Achilles I believe. I never got an MRI done so I'm really not sure, I cannot stand on my toes and I am unbalanced while trying to lean foward. I just want to know if this injury can heal on its own while doing some proper rehab of course or do I need surgery..? I feel a knot headings towards my buttocks area almost reaching my lower back now. Will going to a masseuse work..?
U should get an MRI bro. TRUST ME. I went through the same thing if that thing is completely torn it will NEVER heal u will need surgery only way to tell is MRI and the Thomson test. Hope the best I'm currently rehabing myself i can walk now though i feel a little pain at times. I had surgery. If u have question hmu.
10ShutdownCb I think mines completely torn, going to get an MRI next week, are you sure it will never heal? Because I seen a lot of guys on the net just going through PT and coming out just as fine

What is the best time after surgery to start this exercises? I had surgery March 8 2018 .
Danny Ramirez I had my surgery Feb 26. I am out of the cast but wearing the boot. The incision is starting to heal. This is a slow process.

Another month and hopefully i can start squatting and DL'ing again. We'll see what the doc has to say.
for how long did you exercise the leg
Nice exercises
Lol, initially no. But, since i told him i liked to lift weights he said reps and sets were a good way to look at it from my point of view lol.
I donot think anyone can do these exercises until they see a professional a physotherapist can recommend only or an orthopedist
Thanks!
