    Best overall video explaining the basic features of the Motion 100 version of this Pelican kayak. I'm buying one today. Thanks!

    This also makes a great tow behind for the bigger kayaks like the catch line.

    Thanks for this interesting review… You convinced me, I will buy one from Walmart.
    I will be in SW florida for 3 weeks in august, it will be cheaper for me to buy one than to rent one.
    Unfortunatly I will have to find a buyer and/or leave it behind after holidays, it would cost me too much to bring it back to France.

    I just bought the same exact kayak please make a video if you get a raised seat for it that would make it a perfect kayak for fishing bass

    I just traveled like 2 days through the north eastern Georgia mountains. Just beautiful. Stopped at the Tallulah gorge state park off Rt 23.
    Heading to the Smokies before heading back to cold yucky weather of Ohio.

    Can you put a trolling motor on the back or side of it

    • @greatamericansurvival
      @greatamericansurvival  2 года назад +1

      I’ve seen it done, I don’t use trolling motor. But there are tons posts in kayak fishing groups of how to easily do it. Lots of people make a mount that goes into the rods holders.

      @@greatamericansurvival yeah I'm fishing a bass tournament at lake fork 16 17th and 18th of September they allow kayaks to fish too so that's the reason I'm doing it in the kayak this year you just got to keep your fish alive to get it weighed in

    Hey Marvin, which do you think is easier to paddle. This Pelican or the Lifetime Tamarack or Teton? I am looking for a kayak for my wife and she doesn’t have a lot experience.

    • @greatamericansurvival
      @greatamericansurvival  8 месяцев назад +1

      Great question, but for me personally I like Lifetime/Quest kayaks just paddle easier.
      Hope that helps and hope she has fun.
      Cheers

      Thanks for the input Marvin. We ended up with a Lifetime Spitfire, and she loves it.

    Anyone have any experience or knowledge of how this kayak would handle in the ocean? Just saw it at Walmart for a good price which led me to this video. Looking to do some trips to some remote locations off the coast of hawaii. Any advice would be appreciated

      Personally I would look for a longer kayak. I lived in Maui and used a 16 foot Tarpon kayak to fish off shore. If your caught paddling against the tide your gonna want a kayak thats easy to paddle, tracks well and and is stable. Probably 12-16 foot. Hope this helps

      @@greatamericansurvival thanks for the info. Yeah originally I was looking for a two man kayak to paddle to some remote spots with my son. This one was such a good deal I was thinking I could get two for the price of one tandem kayak. Also I liked the fishing set up as my son is an avid fisherman. Getting stuck paddling against a strong current in Hawaii is gonna suck either way. But perhaps with a longer rig one would have a better chance. Where I was planning to take it there’s two ways out so if the currents bad one way I’d just go the opposite direction. Thanks for the great video and advice. I’ll keep looking for a longer kayak for now
