The days of Old Marty! What built the channel. This is the classic good stuff we all want to see!! Marty really displays the beautiful ambience in his fishin videos. Glad to see you back in Florida!
Trying to remember what your narration cadence reminded me of and finally got it. Warren Miller. He did amazing ski videos I used to love in the 80's and you have a similar style and sense of humor. Thank you for the content.
As a college student who knew nothing about Warren Miller, and then doing some research which I highly enjoyed, I can confirm and whole heartedly agree with this
Always thought that was a cool little kayak. Debated grabbing one as a stress free get up and go/loner yak for when I don't wanna lug around my 63lb sit in top. Great vid man 🤙
Thanks Marty; good video. Pelican has really gotten it together with great craft and nice Xtra gear. No doubt great products. Nice rod mod 👍, very handy. The adult beverage holder is a nice touch also. We all knew what you were getting out of the cooler bag. LoL 👍. 73 and GOD bless Earnest K5EWM. PS. Merry Christmas and have a Happy & Safe New Year's.
YUP this content is gold. Been a viewer and fan for years. Good to see you back to your roots and keeping stuff simple. PLEASE TRY SOME MORE CATCH/COOKING AND STUFF ON THE KAYAK!
I bought my new pelican pioneer premium because of the Argo Marty do mods to. Such a great kayak. Thank you Marty. It's been a blast. Waiting on the new pelican CF paddle to come in. Good time s
Great video Marty. I was actually up fishing in your neck of the woods last week in my 14ft aluminum boat. Had a blast and only ran aground three times.
I have a Pelican Catch 110 Hydryve. I like pelican kayaks. Affordable. Taken care of, they'll last. Love the video and the bud light. I'm living in the Philippines and miss our American beer!
I am a first time buyer am a fisherman I want simple lightweight none all those fancy features and not a lot of costs But I want to be comfortable in the seat for a day on the water Is this the one you suggest? Can I add a seat as you have? Is this one sit down or sit up on top model Really enjoy your videos Simple to the point no bs and tells us like it is Thanks
Loved this and extra fish, Want to say how confident and comfortable you are in these videos, wondering if it's you back in you element or maybe it's that salty buttery popcorn 😜 Either way I'm really happy to see you like this.. Loved quarter sized snook Thanks Marty
I spent 2 days in cocroach bay before fronts moved in and fish be jumping man. None into my kayak though. I don't have a fishing license and I dont fish but man it would be so cool to have dinner jump into kayak, lol. We are fixing to get cold weather so it might be super chilly out there in the tampa bay.
Just discovered your channel, new to kayaking. Just wondering if you installed the go pro / phone mount? Do you have a video showing how you installed it?
I appreciate this. After a day on the water yesterday with my Catch 100, I am looking for a lighter, more simplified sit in option. The Catch is a nice boat, but heavy and not an ideal layout, in my opinion. I like the idea of 40+ pounds and being a bit more protected from the water in cooler months. Thanks.
Interested in your post. I have been looking at the Catch 100. Looks like a fishing machine But I want simple lightweight easy to maneuver. Nothing fancy If wind is persistent just won’t go out And don’t want to spend a lot of $$ What model would you suggest for a 1st kayaker I mainly want to fish with it. Thanks
I ended up selling my Catch 100 and went with a Perception Sound 10.5. Sit in configuration at about 46 pounds. I think the newer Catch 100's are listed at about 57-59 lbs, which isn't extremely heavy, but 10-12 pounds heavier than the Percpetion. If you want a sit-on-top (which a lot of fishermen prefer), a solid unit that gets a lot of good reviews is the Pelican Rebel 100XP which weighs 44 pounds and has a 300 lb. capacity. It' has similar features as the Catch 100 (i.e stadium seat) - but is lighter at 44 ilbs. $499 at Dunham's, but you can find it cheaper on sale. I'm getting older and the weight has become a big deal for me. If you have a chance, go to a store that sells kayaks and sit in the ones on your short list. You'll be surprised in how much that helps in differentiating what will work for you and what won't. Hope that helps and good luck!.@@daveholte7658
Man, it was great seeing you do what I got caught up many years ago on watching. I've missed these videos. Enjoy your day brother.

I appreciate you going over the modifications. I don’t want to lug around a heavy fishing kayak, nor invest in one. This seems doable. 🤙

What about alligators?
I wouldn’t even want to fish there, just kayak around
