I think it’s fair to say that the RPG fan community honestly prefers turn based combat to action rpg combat. Final fantasy 15 is a glowing example of this. While the game reviewed well. And it has its die hard fans (mostly revolving around the characters) it’s more or less common opinion that it was a mediocre disappointment, in large BECAUSE of action rpg combat. When you boil it down, most action RPGs have you press or hold one or two buttons to handle everything, turn based RPGs invite you to think. Some of the best RPGs in recent years, the bravely series and octopath traveler, persona 5m pokemon sun and moon, are all glowing examples of great RPGs that employ traditional (tho modernized) turn based battle systems. And wouldn’t work as action RPGs.
i kind of agree with the "filler" part, a lot of those places and characters felt like they had no relevance or importance for the main story, like who the fuck is Hsu or Lord McCoy? You forget about them like 5 minutes after meeting them and you never see them again.
Golden Sun is really in a bad, bad spot right now. After two stellar games, and a completed story, they gave us a mediocre third game that re-opens the story and ends on a cliffhanger. So, either GS4 follows Dark Dawn's story, which no one played or cared about, or they completely scrap it and start anew. I suggest the second one, since too many years have passed from GS3. And the plot was terrible, I really can't care about it. Only good thing was our blue haired boy being back. Everything else was terrible. Oh, btw awesome video bro, I really liked it. I suggest you to keep going and maybe making smaller videos to encourage more people to watch you. You are enjoyable to listen to, so I can see this channel growing in popularity if you play your cards well.
