Not to mention you can use mules to store up caps as well allowing you to save more than 40 k, you also get your daily 1400 caps multiple times and if ypu want you can scrip even tho the legendary cores would be a problem
Believe it or not I’ve been playing since beta and only run 1 character 💀 I have everything I need. Every gun , roll , armor and rare outfits. It’s awesome because if I’m overweight with anything I share with friends or other players I just met and love asking what they are looking for I just give it to them. I enjoy making other players happy with this game and no I don’t recommend you doing only 1 character haha I love to struggle kinda my stash box is only took up 600 pounds by the way lol
An account with 4 or 5 mules seems right for me. Two for weapons, one for armor, one for FDC and mods/plans. One character that is active and leveled over 300 for the legendary perk slots across the account. Having multiple accounts makes inventory management really simple with two consoles. I recommend parking mules at the Pick. It's a lot more stable, all the workbenches and scrip machine are there, and there's a good container (ice machine) outside for swapping gear. Moving stuff through the trade menu sounds great until you've got dozens of plans, apparel, or maps.
Good video, my only mule became my main and original character my mule. I have FO1, so mostly store collectable items not often used in stash and scrip items loaded on the character. Full WWR set and two perked apparel as well, all the armor and reduction, food, chem or anything else. I use the private server method alone, only had one lost drop that was my fault, but been lucky. It was scary at first doing this, but now no problem.
You don't actually need a friend. You just need to be on a team. If you join a team and then quit directly to desktop, you won't leave the team. All you have to do is restart the game and you'll still be on the same team in the same world. Switch characters and jump back in the game. Whatever you left will still be sitting there. You don't even need the suitcase. Just drop it on the ground.
@@sh1v3ms I didn't say there wasn't risk involved. I was just saying there's another way for people who don't have a subscription, or friends who play fo76. And most of the time, it works with no problem.
I suggest, DON'T BOTHER, unless you are bored. This game works hard to cap everything. There's even cap on caps. Don't care about it. Cap your caps for the day and just drop the rest after your storage is filled with legendries. I can't wait for the ability to scrap legendries. I hate the cap on everything is always un-needily low. Just stop caring about it and go do what is most fun for you in game. You don't need big money for ANYTHING in game.
trading bugs more often than not for me, all i do is enter blue suitcase with both characters also nice being on pc as i can run 2 games at the same time for transfering
I run 5 characters on one account . 3 are primarily mules but I script on them as well so I make sure they are geared up and not so overweight that they can’t do events if I need to grind some cores on them.
My main (lv 402) is pretty much a mule lol I'm still using the first PA I crafted (Excavator set; +100 carry weight set bonus) with Calibrated Shock mods on both legs (+50 carry weight each). Perk cards: Martial Artist 3, Ordnance Express 3, Bear Arms 3, Traveling Pharmacy 3, Batteries Included 3, Thru-Hiker 3. With Carnivore mutation (+Strange In Numbers card), grilled radstags give +50 carry weight. Deathclaw Steaks give +5 Strength. The vendor near the spawn point in Nuka Cola world tour sells Gulper Stuffed Foot (+5 Strength; can't stack) and Yao Guai Pastry (+75 carry weight with Carnivore). My max carry weight is around 550. I'm just a hoarder XD
I get 1st (no auto renew) when I'm playing and if my scoreboad is less than rank 100 (which I just hit last night, 3 days after 1st ran out). Then I just play and scrap junk/gear and leave them in the donation boxes all over the map. Including ammo, plans I haven't learned, food, chems etc
Duffle bags have unlimited storage capacity, so they are great for transfers between chars. I build at least one of each of my chars camps in the same spot as it has a duffle bag inside its build area.
Your vids have helped me a lot, but could you also let us know some tips for ppl who don't necessarily play with friends and just get on random casual teams? Cuz I don't really know anyone that plays and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thank you!
Thanks for the video. A lot of useful information. I agree with a lot of it, but I wonder why you chose The Whitesprings as the location. In my case, I have 1st so it makes sense just to have the mule's main camp in a location that is very close to or the same as the main character's main camp, with a suitable nearby container to leave things in for the transfer. And with a friend (assuming you can count on having any, which is not as likely as you say, I think, with different time zones, etc.), what is the advantage of doing it at the train station over doing it at your camp? Thanks.
mules are good now esp with the upcoming legendary crafting update, dump all the potential legendaries you want to scrap on the mule to save up some space
I have a character that’s level 20 I use him for storage free up space in stash box weapons mostly I did have an incident yesterday where are my game crashed and I lost five of my special weapons but I haven’t had a problem in three years transporting weapons to another character it’s good but it’s risky
The general consensus is that your first 150 levels is when you're figuring out what build you're going for, then 151-250 is when you're perfecting your build, and 251+ is when you've decided to stick to your build. It's not concrete, obviously, since there's always room for improvement and switching around. 😊
@@quarterpounderingurmom4086back when we all first started, before Fallout 1st was a thing, people made bulk of junk items using a tinkerer's workbench to save stash space. It uses quite a lot of plastic, but it does help.
why cant Bethesda just give us more stash space 2000 minimum heck even give it a paywall id pay especially for some kind of better organizer like fallout 4
great vid. thanks. would NukaWorld be a better place to leave the mule? With all of the crafting stations and the Leg Exchange, and a vendor, isn't NukaWorld just a slightly better train station? Would love to hear everyone's feedback as I'm about to start a mule.
Ah the point where you realize how a stupid an extremely limited storage mechanic is in a looter shooter ... Need a mule 🤔 depends on your level of dedication to hoarding .
Just curious.... why not use the other stash box? and why the weight reduction perks when they are overloaded already? im sure they help a lil but will quickly get over the limit even with these perks

Another great reason to have a mule is for when you want to store a lot of great food. If that character has good with salt on as well as through hiker like you mentioned then we can turn that mule into a deep freezer since food doesn't degrade if the character isn't on a server. 🤘Glad you made this to teach the community about it bud 🤘

Why do you need weight reducing cards when you put thousands of pounds on it anyway
Maybe this is dumb but, why not trade it to a friend using the donation box on a ps?
