Holy moley ladies and their shopping trips, makes me exhausted just looking at them galloping around can't think where they get all that energy, must be the grape juice cider and pop corn. Best wishes from Ireland, love the Mennonite and Amish people, best in this world.
My husband and I used to travel to Holmes County when we had better health. We always enjoyed Hillcrest Orchard in the fall. You’re correct, never found any better cider. I’m from Pa.
I was just in Holmes County a few weeks ago! I stayed in a cozy Amish-run B&B and met some nice Amish ladies there. I spent several hours at Behalt - Amish Mennonite Heritage Center, learning so much about the Amish and Mennonites. It was probably one of the most interesting days of all of my travels! I also attended a conservative Mennonite church in the area. I'm not Mennonite and didn't have any "church clothes," but the congregation was so welcoming and I was even invited to have lunch with them at the church after the service. What a gorgeous area! I would love to go back!
Thank you for all of the recommendations! I've been wanting to visit the Holmes County area for a while now. I live in southwestern Ohio. Apple cider slushies sound delicious! I love how calmly you interact with little Declan. ♡
I enjoyed going on your journey to see what you saw at the stores and what you were doing on your drive. So nice that you are able to be close to a grandmother too. Very nice.
Thanks so much for taking us along on your day of errands. That's such a pretty area and it looks like there are so many nice stores. I've never been in that area but it looks like a place I'd really enjoy visiting sometime!
I enjoy all your videos and I was especially happy to find this one! You had a beautiful morning for shopping and the stores looked so well stocked for fall. I’ve not been shopping for quite awhile and there were no pumpkins, mums, and other fall items out the last time I went, so I’m hoping there will be all of these when I go again very soon.
You sure made a lot of stops! Looks so nice out there, even the town names: Walnut Creek, Sugar Creek, etc. sounds like out of a quaint movie!💛 Thanks for posting🙏 - I really enjoy your videos.
Thank you for sharing your stops! We’ll be in that area in November and I’m going to try to stop at some of those same places. We’re staying at the Carlyle in Walnut Creek and have tickets to see “Ruth” at the Ohio Star Theater (I think that’s the name! Maybe Ohio Dutch Theater? It’s in Sugarcreek.) 😊
Marlene - would you mind sharing the place you got your grape juice? Love grape juice and popcorn for a snack (haven’t had it since growing up at home). I live in Orrville. Also what is the smallest amt you can get and is it all pre-order? Thank you!!
I'm sorry Carol, I don't have an address or phone number. But if you email me at mrsjoelyoder99@gmail.com I will see what I can do to help you reach them.
