I’ve never been so invested in a strangers life before 😆
Gloria Vargo like rats 🐀
I’m a nurse so it’s my everyday life to be invested in a strangers wellbeing, but Ben has captured a distant investment.....he is doing a lot of good by his honest yet calm demeanor of presenting his situation and the facts he knows !!!
Well done Ben !!!!
Well he's easy on the eyes too so that makes it easy to invest 😅
@@rnupnorthbrrrsm6123 Hey have anyone heard of people who are totally immune to HIV AIDS mainly become that virus uses the CCR5 receptors and the delta32 polymorphism (mutation) makes it IMPOSSIBLE TO ENTER for HIV and even the 2019 coronavirus to enter the body. If you have 2 copies of delta32 it's almost impossible to get these viruses. 1 copy will make you more resistant than most and less disease activity. A family history of psoriasis is a great marker for this. Some good for a change.

@@owwmykneecap Romanian, yes! Although I feel more Irish at this point haha- in fact I just feel *European* (as weird as it might sound)
Born in Poland to Romanian parents, they moved to Ireland with generous jobs and I studied at a German school. Learnt fluent English, German, and a little bit of French and Irish as a result. XD So *very* European!

Free rooms, free food, free time - sounds like a vacation if you weren’t under quarantine and not able to leave or visit with family , friends, even your pets. The government is really trying to make their lives as pleasant as possible under the frightening circumstances. Stay heathy, Ben- thank goodness to technology! Imagine if this happened 60 years ago- you would have a radio and a telephone only!
It's not like you can't survive without a phone or TV.
I guess people would have thought at least color tv. But in the 60s there was other things to keep busy

Stay strong. You're giving strength to everyone. Not just those who r done with the virus
What if someone there does get sick? Since this really isn't total isolation from each other, doesn't that mean that you have to start the clock again with 2 more weeks of being isolated?
Good question - I was wondering the same
Quarantine not the same as emola virus in Texas / Emory in Atlanta
very likely yes
Then this would be a good plot for a horror movie 🎥
Imagine one after one gets sick ... that last person would have to stay for MONTHS

Ok boomer.
What's the point of keeping them all together in a communal setting. If one of them was infected everyone else would also get infected thus defeating the purpose of the quarantine.
Most of them or all of then have been tested and results came back negative meaning none of them have the virus at the moment but if any of them fall Ill in the next few days, they will be fully isolated
They were better off in single apartments in Wuhan!
The problem is the virus can be transmitted even during the incubation period when you're not showing symptoms

Is the girl you went shopping with in Wuhan going to be evacuated by her country? What country is she from? Maybe we can help her by calling her embassy?
Trish Oh my gosh! I was thinking about her too...
@@indakgalak He said today she is an American and stayed because she has 2 cats. But, the situation in Wahun is deadly. No-one is saying if animals can get this man-made virus. I wonder why they? would not allow her to take them.
@@TrishReports
Right now this virus has about a 0.2-0.3% mortality risk. 'Deadly' is an overstatement.
Charts released by the WHO today (with a wide margin of error shown) show this Coronavirus is less contagious than chicken pox (at worst) & it currently has its lowest mortality rates around the same as seasonal flu and the highest is approx the same as swine flu, lower than SARS.
I am an animal lover. I have pets. I honestly can't possibly imagine leaving them behind, unless I could leave them _with_ someone who I know would love them... But I understand that protocols exist exactly for this situation. There is absolutely no way that governments could execute this kind of 'disaster planning' operation accounting for pets as well.
If every person had a pet, how would they work that? So then how would they prioritize pets? And right now, nobody knows if the virus can affect cats (for this example). That means they don't know if cats could be carriers, but unaffected - worst case scenario, that would mean they could transmit it while showing no symptoms.
If you had other animals, and a virus spreads between them, it increases the risk of it mutating by 'joining' with another virus - the main fear of an unknown infectious microbe in humans causing a pandemic.
_If_ you did include animals in evacuations, there would need to be completely separate travel areas for them, they can't wear masks, so I don't know how you'd reduce transmission risk the way we try to do so with masks, hand washing, not touching your face, etc. Then at quarantine locations, they would need to also have vets, veterinary microbiologists, and different areas for every single animal.
These facilities exist exactly for this purpose - they're not using somewhere as a makeshift option. (I do believe this is the only one in the UK though.)
This is part of what your embassy/ consulate does if you are abroad and any kind of disaster strikes. They have protocols in place to deal with these eventualities too.
On top of that, I have no idea if you can bring pets from China to the UK, but I do have a friend who brought her dog home from Ghana. The standard protocol for animals is 6 months of quarantine, unless they have passed certain 'pre-qualification'/ certification(?) examinations that exist in agreements between certain countries. And that's under normal circumstances.
@@TrishReports There is news reports that in many places the authorities over there ordered people to kill their cats and dogs and gave them 5 days to sort this out or they will come and do it
@TanyaBrown Sadly, I have heard the same thing💔💔💔

@Gggg One of the richest countries in the world, go on, and yet you obviously haven't got the were with all to fly your own citizens home and adequately quarantine them. Bit shameful of you isn't it to be condescending towards another country who is actually prepared and helping another country who apparently is rich but couldn't give a toss about it's own citizens, or is it because outside it's capital city, it's a case of it's got sod all.
