Great to see very fortunate expats giving back to the community they now call home. Hope this volunteering and giving back spreads to other communities within Ecuador. Will be in Olon and Cuenca this December. Looking forward to becoming an expat myself. Keep up the good work.

Curious to know ur thoughts abt Cuenca and if u would ever live there. Obviously, it has no beach, but were there other considerations?
Have a great flight and enjoy. Yes we love Cuenca. For us it's more a vacation spot each year. We are not city people. Otherwise we would likely be there.

We have private insurance. You can get many types of plans to meet your needs or get the public insurance at around 86 a month called IESS. You can contact Bluebox insurance out of Manta for a quote on private insurance.

Strong leadership is good regardless of anything else.
@@KrisandMike strongly disagree. in fact, an indicator of a failing country, is when the women are leading the men. Everyone understands this. If you really want to take care of the people, educate the men on being strong leaders of the family. It'll trickle down. Keep empowering women, you'll have more single mothers, weak children, and disenfranchised homes.
