bro you would not believe the shite im going through with asus at the moment... my ally x has been with them 2 weeks, well... with their repair center in scotland. It went in because my left analogue stick was loose on the stem and they emailed me today to say they found liquid on the analogue stick board and i would need to pay £124 to have it repaired or £45 to have them return it to me as is or they will put it in the bin lol i just cant believe my eyes, absolutely disgusting lies in an attempt to defraud me out of money for a simple repair, there is no liquid damage, they send me a picture of flux on the soldering pins on the board like im dense and clueless. Snakes these people im telling you, absolutely everything was working fine when i sent it to them it just needed a new analogue stick cap and maybe module so they fit together as one unit properly and they try to tell me its liquid damage. I wont be paying them a penny and if they continue to refuse the repair ill be on to trading standards... they cant keep getting away with this crap, especially after the Asus scam controversy. Im so pissed right now. Anyway... just venting, thanks for the content as always.
@@jinx20001if you’re in uk go to curry’s and go for the care and repair, 5 years and it’s £120 and covers all issues except accidental and cosmetic, if there’s an issue you take it to a store and they have 7 days or you get a replacement and if it happens to get the same issue twice then you can request a replacement one straight away
@jinx20001 damn im sorry yall don't and I agree they shouldn't that's why I'm hoping another company can take over and do right in the handheld field and force asus to change bc we handheld lovers would definitely move over to a company who has a better or same product but wit great customer service such a valve people stay bc of how great the customer support is
@@Imurged_cpz damn right, i will be selling my Ally X as soon as it is back to me and in good order and changing to a different brand altogether, Asus make some pretty good hardware but they are genuinely a disgusting company to deal with... im still in shock what they tried to do to me, and to then threaten the disposal of my handheld if i dont pay the handling fee's, unbelievable... i may even drive the 5 hours i would need to in order to get my handheld back off them rather than give them an excuse to say they are disposing of it and actually selling it themselves, scumbag company. I mean, it needs a new analogue stick module, which costs about £25 from asus and it takes no more than 5 minutes to install and put back together but they want to charge me £60 just for the labour, are they on crack, they think people are stupid.
Using all my accessories from my Steam deck Oled. Which I sold as soon as I bought the X. Dock, Charger. Mouse, keyboard, SSD. Loving the Ally. Can play Fc25 which is my chill out game.
Glad you're enjoying your Ally X. I actually bought a Legion go two days ago (yep, that big screen won me over), still setting it up and installing games/mods etc.
Yes, it's just a regular PC essentially. I copied my steam games and then when I went to "install" each game it detected them and then it verified them. After that which only took a couple minutes they were then playable.

Best Buy just dropped them by $100. Hard to pass that up. I hope to have it by Friday. That said, most games are better experienced natively BUT Still Wakes the Deep taught me that some are better streamed or remote played.
I noticed you playing Forza 5 on there. I’ve tried playing it on ally x and it’s takes a really long time to “optimize” it to my ROG. Did you notice that as well?

Yep takes about 20 mins to optimise on standard settings but then it works awesome!
