Cant you just unscrew the fout srews and lift off the plate?Is it necessary to totally remove the carb?

Thanks a lot. My mum wanted to throw out our whipper because this part was busted lol, I told her surely we can fix that. It's this exact model so I will for sure try this. Legend.
