I have a question, I bought yesterday a cindwood loom to make slippers for my great grandchildren, I bought a 5/8 , 20 would that be correct for slippers. This will be my first cindwood loom, I’ve made slippers on kniffty knitter and KB looms. Hopefully I bought the right one.

Put in the description where to find your sock looming book.

You can get it on amazon, ravelry, or cindwood looms. Any heel, any toe, any sock, any time loom it is the title.

I was wondering what the 3/8 44 loom for?

Thanks for the comprehensive review of their fine gauge looms. CinDwood Looms interest me and I would buy some but their shipping costs are out of this world. No one would just order one loom to just try it at that cost. The shipping is often more than the loom. And I am not a person who wants everything on the cheap, I own 3 Kiss Looms and 3 Authentic Knitting Board Looms besides my 2 sets of Knifty Knitters. I am waiting for someone to put their CinDwood Looms up for resale, I would snag them in a minute. I really liked the Bunny Cable hat & the Peach hat at the end of the video. I am hoping you will post a vid for the Peach one soon.

+TheCinder24 Oh I understand on shipping, and hear quite often that out of country shipping is really rough. The problem you will have on people re selling their CinDwood looms is it isn't often, most get one and are addicted and have no intentions of letting them go. LOL I started out getting my first set after my tax return came in for a basic set of the large adult 1/2" gauge set of 4 looms pack. That was the end for me, no other loom seemed to add up. I always like to tell people though these will be more expensive as they are a small family run business and have no factory making the looms. So it is the reason for the price. I would say just keep a close eye out on ebay for anyone who might be re selling.

Hi Scarlett: I am fairly new to looming have made a few things but not many. My interest is greatly with sock making. I have a large slim foot size 9 in the U.S.. what loom would you recommend for me to buy. Thank you for your great tutorials and all your help.

What is the measurement for the ball of your foot with weight on it? My first guess since you said slim 40 in the 3/8"gauge or 50 peg 1/4"gauge. Although it might be the next loom down smaller. But the measurement would help.

Hi Scarlett: I measured it and it looks to be 7 inches. I also would like to make other items with this loom, but it's not really a necessity.

I'm sorry Scarlett that would be a 7 1/2 ball and 8 ankle

Okay if you are going to use a worsted yarn a lot for making socks I would suggest the 36 peg 3/8" gauge. If you are wanting to use dk weight or fingering get the options above mentioned. Also you can try the universal sock looms for plenty of options that aren't just your own feet. Hope this was helpful for you.

I'm a beginning loomed and have a nice stash of fingering sock yarn which Cindwood loom would you recommend? My foot is normal measurement.

56 peg 1/4" gauge loom would work for the fingering weight yarns and an average size foot. Good Luck!!
