Wow ! You really hit the jackpot here ! This looks like a really nice car...for any price. Cosmetically, it's very nice; I wonder if there's a potential rust issue that someone tried to camouflage with those chrome rocker moldings... Sounds like you're got plenty of spares with it as well. I got a 1967 roadster for free years ago in a similar fashion. I used to work for BMC and I was just waiting for a deal like that to come along. I've had for car for almost 40 years and have never looked back. I think I wouldn't have an MG without the overdrive though especially here in California. I'd get that fixed. Safety fast !
@@steveschramko2386 thank you, I have wondered about what the chrome covers could be hiding as well many people have told me to leave them alone but they will have to come off soon to see what it’s like under there and the overdrive is my wintertime project hopefully I can get it sorted for the start of next year.
A 1977 model year dashboard and most of the interior from that era, steering wheel is from Aug 72 to June 73 and the seats are 1973 model year vintage, the same as my MGB GT Jubilee. Seats would have originally been grey stripes. Looks a very nice car, and good to see it on the road being driven.
Thank you I am looking for some more interior bits so thanks for letting me know what age bits to look for and I do try to get out in the car as much as possible.

@@Thatorangemgb Feel free to ask me anything. Had a BGT for 26 years now.
Not bad for free....👍
Bet the overdrive problems are electrical, try cleaning the solenoid connector first.
Thank you, I’m looking in to it at the moment so I will add that to my list of things to check and test
