I nursed a woman that had such severe HG that it induced MS like symptoms and changes in her brain. She had to terminate the pregnancy in an attempt to stop the rapid deterioration.
Sadly that didn't stop her symptoms and she died a few months later.

Also, this was fascinating to watch and apply to personal experiences. I became pregnant when I had ovarian cancer, and the tumors grew along with my baby. I remember not being able to even breathe properly at about 30 weeks because the tumors were just being pushed wherever they could fit as my uterus grew. I went in to see the doctor and they admitted me immediately. The neonatal specialist said they were perplexed at how I was able to continue to carry with so much being squished around, and that my body was carrying the equivalent of 3 fetuses, but only one was in my uterus and the other two weren't, which makes for an entirely uncomfortable experience. After 20 to 25 weeks, even bumps in the road while riding in the car could at times be unbearable. In the end, the little one was worth it, and truly a little miracle.

Thankfully after I had it confirmed with the first, the docs knew and kept an eye in it with my following pregnancies, and as soon as they were uncomfortable with my amount of puking...they jumped on treatment. Unfortunately, I still got hospitalized each time and ended up with picc lines and even a feeding tube with my 2nd pregnancy! Zofran is a life saver. Especially when I had my picc line and had to go around with an IV pole in public. Thankfully, people see that, and many volunteer to help. Which was. I am pregnant with my second, and I will have to have a cesarean section (not by choice) to reduce the risk of uterine tear during labor. My first baby required an emergency C-section because she was breech when I went into labor. That could have been deadly for the both of us. So now, I have to have C-sections. ANYWAY, that is a major surgery. Kids have messed up my pelvic floor and it just needs to be realigned. I also have hip instability because of it. Sleeping with a pillow between my legs and wearing and SI belt during the day helps and also doing bridges until I start therapy. You should definitely talk to your OB about getting a referral to a physical therapist if you can.

Our daughter is “made” on Ondansetron, watermelon and Sun Lolly. I have not had a single bite of watermelon, since pregnacy. 😂 How I made it through, is beyound me. But my then 2 year old daughter and husband, kept me going.
I am so happy, to have 2 beautiful daughters now. Some women suffering from HG have to either terminate the pregnacy, or loose it. And they will never get to have a baby 😢 So I feel very blessed, to have my girls, after all that suffering.
One thing that has really changed, is my eating habits. When my husband is cooking meat, or bacon, I just about die 😂 The smell was so severe during pregnacy, and 7 years after, I still don’t eat the the things I used to, before getting pregnant.

I had HG my entire pregnancy in both pregnancies. It was the worst with my son and I had to get a pic line for meds and nutrients. It is so depressing, isolating and sad. Most people say you should be glad you can have a baby but it makes it difficult to get through the pregnancy. Glad I made it through!

I know some people who are and are super fat. Since put body is a machine. If the machine is not healthy enough, it will not get pregnant because of the extra fat or hidden health issue. Some yeah, don't have the right eggs.

@@maryross1875 some people can’t help to be infertile. It could be a condition or something but it shouldn’t stop them from being a mum. As it’s said, adoption is an option. Just because one can’t have biological kids, doesn’t mean they can’t be a mum to a deserving child worthy of a loving home,

I used to be infertile. I was diagnosed with severe PCOS and had less than a 1% chance to get pregnant without aggressive medical intervention. Now I have no sign of PCOS and I am very fertile. The doctors are constantly asking me why my records have PCOS on my records when they no longer believe I have it. I learned a lot in my past ten years to reverse my condition. There is hope that things can and will change. There’s too much to share about healing infertility and multiple types of infertility by amping up all working parts of the reproductive system. However, a common thing that helps a lot is to heal your hormones through rich nutrition and reducing cortisol. Stress reduction exercise like yoga, dancing or weightlifting really did a lot overtime. Also, good sleep hygiene! The next thing is timing. Fresh and healthy sperm supply needs to happen as soon as you can tell you ovulate. As long as you have ovaries, open fallopian tubes and fertile sperm present, it’s almost impossible to not get pregnant but you have to learn and understand your body hormonally a lot too. I hope that whatever infertility you experience, that you can heal yourself and find this advice helpful. I always empathize and want to help those who carry the burden and grief of infertility.
