How about a video about p.u.p.p.p? I had it while pregnant & it was torture! Got it with both pregnancies. I realized I was pregnant the 2nd time (before my 1st missed period) because I suddenly had the sensation of bugs crawling on my legs.
I live in UK have had one baby boy who is 4 in November I gad one question cravings I'm not pregnant now but still have cravings for watsits and milky-way yogurt together is it normal
I’ve started AG1 bc of this channel 😊 Thanks for delving into this aspect of pregnancy. Luckily mine (just 1 kid here) was pretty smooth up until the last few uncomfortable during sleep weeks. Please, please cover how milk is produced from our digestive tract to milk ducts!🙏🏼💛🤱🏻🥛 Does the nutrients come from the intestines and stomach or what’s going on there?
I’d love to see a video showing how the body goes “back to normal” after a pregnancy. A lot of people assume woman go straight back to “normal” and hit the floor working the next day… I like people to know why maternity leave will help a mother out as well.
@Timmy Well bacteria dividing themselves isn't that impressive considering that humans do it as well, the first cell of the human body is the zygote which basically divides itself until a whole new human is created.
I’ve never understood pregnancy to this degree. I feel like I owe my wife an apology for all the havoc that occurs. Well Done and a great presentation.
I’m almost 6 months first time mom. I’m 38 and with high risk pregnancy. My journey has been tough 4 miscarriages, thyroid problems, endometriosis, pcos. This is clearly my rainbow baby. Congratulations to all mothers you are never forgotten you will always be loved.❤
Once done with pregnancy, check your dental situation. Most of those conditions come from passive infections in the gums (root canals, cavitations …) Often all those conditions regress after removing those dead teeth. ❤
Please make pregnancy videos as a series! There is so much more that could be explained. Being a woman who has two kids, I still learned a few new things!
Me too! I'd be interested in knowing what happens when pregnancy goes past the due date. Both of my kids were about 2 weeks late before they decided to make an appearance.
I've had 3 children and honestly I never actually thought where my other organs were being pushed up to. Probably because I spent 9 month with my head down the toilet😂.
My wife had hyperemesis gravidarum, 😢 I wish this on no one, we were in and out of the hospital for months due to excessive vomiting. She lost a ton of weight and couldn't even bathe herself. 😅 Boy those were some scary times, thank God the baby came out healthy and she is fine now.
Yeah I had it twice. It reeked havoc on my body. It took al least 5 years for my body to heal and 7 years for my mental state to go back to normal. It was horrendous.
My daughter just had identical triplets girls at 31 weeks and the human body is AMAZING!! They were all sharing the same placenta, they are all doing well. 🙌🙌🙌
Damn... that's a alot of babies. How's she doing? One is hard, but three sounds rough. Also, I've always been curious, will she be color coding them lol
My daughter her first pregnancy was twenty years ago she was expecting twins. And they shared one placenta. The girls had TTTS. We didn’t have a good outcome. Your daughter must have been given over to a specialist early on. God bless her and, her three little ones.
I REALLY DON'T THINK MOTHERS GET ENOUGH RESPECT OR APPRECIATION OR UNDERSTANDING IN THIS WORLD AND I THINK IN OUR INDUSTRY EVEN MORE. TO ALL THE MOTHERS OUT THERE YOU ARE F INCREDIBLE!!! ESPECIALLY THE ONES WHO ARE DOING IT ALONE! SUPER HEROS! LOVE YOU ❤
I really think you guys should cover the delivery process and how the body heals afterwards. I know so many people who think your body just "snaps" back to normal. The human body is so fascinating in the healing process and in so many other ways. I appreciate how thorough this video is. I watch just about every one you guys release. My six year old was enamored watching this with me and asking me questions about my current pregnancy. She understood this video pretty well. (As much as she could follow, but she enjoyed it.) You guys keep up the good work and I excited for the next video!
@@wangariwairimu1st in my experience it takes a minimum of 6 weeks plus some regular light exercising your pelvic floor muscles. It can take longer depending on if there are any issues with the birth or if a cesarean has taken place. But with the other muscles, I’m not 100% sure. I’d like to know as well.
I am pregnant with my first baby (only 5 weeks) and also a nurse, so I love seeing the anatomy of things but especially the amazing miracle of pregnancy! It's insane and terrifying, but I know will be worth all the trouble at the end. 🥰 Thank you!
I've never been pregnant, and I can honestly say I have NO regrets. Hell, my body gets on my nerves and I've never even created a human being, so I take my hat off to alll of the mothers out there. This is why Mother's Day is a much bigger holiday than Father's Day.
As someone who is going through their third pregnancy, there are some things that are great about being pregnant. But there are a lot of things that make pregnancy a pain in the ass
@@n.c.picturesI felt exactly the same until I was 19-- I was seriously considering getting my tubes tied! Now I'm 22 years old and 5 1/2 months pregnant. No regrets. Yeah it's been awful at times with morning sickness, aches and pains etc., but I know it'll be worth it when our little girl is born. As I'm writing now, she's kicking me like no tomorrow 😂
I'm the stepmother to my husband's now-14-year-old son (we've been together since he was 2) and my husband was a bit apprehensive about having more kids because "babies are hard." My initial reaction was... probably not very empathetic. 😂 I will say about pregnancy for me the scariest thing for me is that fact that you really have no idea how it's going to go. There have been elite athletes who have almost died, and there have been obese smokers who have perfectly healthy pregnancies and deliveries. It's such a mixed bag of things that can go wrong!
@@Ad1nfernumThere’s an athlete who definitely died recently while in labor. Not almost. A lot of people die from childbirth (and even pregnancy) that are not spoken of in the news on a regular basis.
Can we at least say “thanks” to the preserved body in this video for helping to give us a great visual representation of what happens during pregnancy? 🙂
Yes, much appreciation to the person who donated her body to science. I was mind blown with the two aprons! So disembowelment isn’t as the movies depict of a never ending flow of spaghetti. I have given birth & now makes sense with the acid reflux, I had it bad & meanwhile old school grandma said that the baby had a full head of hair 🤔 Pregnancy was an amazing experience despite the spontaneous morning sickness out of nowhere vomiting on a sidewalk downtown 😅
Actually, this is one of the few 'myths' that is supported by science - I read that it has to do with the levels of a specific hormone that trigger muscle (sphincter) relaxation and is also likely involved in hair growth in the fetus'@@Anacondextra1
I feel your pain, I had a similar situation with my son. He turned 5 at the end of Feb and he is in age 7-8 clothes already! He eats us out of house and home. I have no idea how tall he will end up but he's my big puppy!
Thank you for mentioning HG. When I was pregnant my doctors didn't know about it, and I was told it was in my head despite the fact that I was hospitalized for ketones and dehydration. I'm thankful that it's now recognized as a real medical condition so others can get the help they need in managing it.
I’m sorry that happened to you. Health professionals dismissing your condition because they don’t understand can feel isolating to suffer and it’s unfair. My nurses didn’t believe me on my first baby that my water broke because so many women urinate and think it’s labor. I felt frustrated about how they decided not to believe what I would tell them because I was on my first labor. It’s awful when they don’t believe what you tell them! I’m glad that people in medicine are still learning and figuring out more things based off what patients are reporting because I empathize knowing how it feels to be dismissed.
@@thelifeofruth hyperemesis gravidarum, it's a condition where pregnancy hormones cause constant vomiting sometimes the entire pregnancy, resulting in issues like weight loss, ketosis, throat erosion, dehydration, and occasionally death (not as common anymore).
@@selinamularz9194 oh my goodness!! That sounds horrible! I’m 12 weeks pregnant now but this past weekend I had diarrhea all day Saturday! And Sunday in the middle of the night. And Nausea like crazy! And every time I ate anything my stomach would hurt… it was a nightmare!!! I can’t imagine going 9 months vomiting straight… I cried to my husband on Saturday…
I suffered from HG during my 2 pregnancies, but the 1st was worse. I spent most of my days at the hospital getting iv for dehydration 😂 tmi vomits=pee 😂 I would have to use diapers and shower frequently because of the vomiting 😢 sometimes I would eat just white rice and vomit 1 min later. Horrible!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for mentioning hyperemesis gravidarum! As an HG survivor it blows my mind just how many people didn't understand that I was still sick right up until giving birth. HG is not a joke, a prank, or all in our heads, and too many medical professionals and families brush it off when it can be incredibly life threatening to the pregnant person. The HER foundation is dedicated to researching and educating about HG for anyone that wants to know more
Omg right!! "Just eat crackers", "just have a lime popsicle" wtf 😮💨 i had it with 2 out of 4 pregnancies and it was absolutely awful, the feeling of not being able to function for months, not being able to eat or drink anything and being so weak from this... And people just say suck it up and it's just normal nausea. Absolutely not
I’ve had two kids and I couldn’t imagine having HG. That shit is BRUTAL. Everyone I know that’s had it, has ended up in the hospital. I think some people don’t realize it’s as extreme as it is. My heart goes out with anyone dealing with HG.
Yup HG is ridiculously awful because you can't do the (seemingly) easiest thing in the world - EAT for your baby & yourself. I had HG with both my pregnancies, lost at least 25 pounds, had such bad electrolyte instability that I developed a heart arrhythmia, had such low blood pressure that I fainted upon standing and fell, fracturing 2 vertebrae in my spine. Docs need to better educate patients about the seriousness of HG and treat thoroughly. I'm glad I'm an RN and could stay home and administer my own meds/IV fluids through a central catheter. It was worth it though - my kids are awesome!!!
My grandfather donated his body after he died back in early March of this year, he suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for half of his life, and wanted people to learn about it. Even in death he was still giving to people, he truly was a great man. I miss him dearly. While he was alive, him and my grandmother watched over me while my parents were busy. He taught driver's ed and woodshop, and was even part of the city council later in life.
This video absolutely blows my mind! I had six children, (all adults now) and I never fully comprehended. This gentleman has a fantastic way of presenting the information and I will absolutely pass it along. Thank you!
I nursed a woman that had such severe HG that it induced MS like symptoms and changes in her brain. She had to terminate the pregnancy in an attempt to stop the rapid deterioration. Sadly that didn't stop her symptoms and she died a few months later. I never knew how dangerous pregnancy can be for some and although very rare, I have never forgotten that young girl.
The fact that the RIBS move during pregnancy is amazing. I used to think of bones as a still armature everything else rests atop, but now I kinda think of them more like part of the body. That's amazing.
The bones also change position in dancers too! And i assume as they change in us so in other athletes , in our case most prominent are the bones in our feet
Yup, and the baby can break your ribs if you happen to be carrying high. It happened to a friend of mine and she didn’t even realize the baby broke a rib until after she gave birth.
Also, this was fascinating to watch and apply to personal experiences. I became pregnant when I had ovarian cancer, and the tumors grew along with my baby. I remember not being able to even breathe properly at about 30 weeks because the tumors were just being pushed wherever they could fit as my uterus grew. I went in to see the doctor and they admitted me immediately. The neonatal specialist said they were perplexed at how I was able to continue to carry with so much being squished around, and that my body was carrying the equivalent of 3 fetuses, but only one was in my uterus and the other two weren't, which makes for an entirely uncomfortable experience. After 20 to 25 weeks, even bumps in the road while riding in the car could at times be unbearable. In the end, the little one was worth it, and truly a little miracle.
OMG. That's incredible ! Really hats off to you for handling it. Curious to know, how did your body react to birth along with cancer ? Were you on cancer treatment along with pregnancy ? Either ways it would have been crazy for your body to cope with both. I hope you healed well. ✌️
HG survivor here. And I do mean survivor. One of the hallmarks is weight loss. I lost 45 lbs in the first 5 months. Debilitating, horrible. Couldnt even keep water in my system. IVs saved my life. So grateful to science that kept my daughter and I alive through a horrible pregnancy. That being said, my body was AMAZING, literally still sustained my child through minimal food and water.
I have immense respect for you and every other woman who went through HG... i was lucky enough to not have to go through it, but it was even terrible for me for the first 3 months. It was terrible and i actually worried if i should seek help at one point - so i cant even begin to imagine how you must have felt 😩❤️
As a mother of 2 and a nurse, I have to admit that our bodies do some amazing things when we are pregnant!! I was so lucky that when I was pregnant I worked at a teaching hospital and they “used” me for a lot of their student practice things and I got to see so much more of my baby and changes my body was going through then most women at almost every stage of my pregnancy. It was fascinating!! I also experienced morning sickness throughout my entire first pregnancy, that sucked!! ❤😂
I was on night shift so sick in odd times. When breakfast trays arrived at end of my shift, my nausea would hit the roof. Thankfully, it stopped after the first trimester. My second trimester was a wonderful time, happy hormones & not yet huge. Only wanted to do it once though! She was frank breech & I had a C-section, her toes were by her ears. She had hips that needed a harness for almost 6 months but she has little trouble with them as an adult.
I carried triplets to 34 weeks, all in separate sacs with nothing shared. It would be interesting to hear more about the extremes the body undergoes. Also, what happens after delivery/cesarean.
👏 Can we have more evidence that we are designed? 🥳 Intricacies such as these don't arrive from a worm who decided to turn into a fish and crawl out of water. Whoo! Praise Jesus, He is alive. You are loved 💕
I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with my first baby. You have no idea how the body changes. Not just physical but also mentally and emotionally. Pregnancy is such a hard journey. I didn’t know it would be this hard. Carrying a human being for 9-10 months is just overwhelming
And then you wonder why we do this more than once. We can blame this wonderful hormone oxytocin that not only allows us to bond with the baby but also makes us temporarily forget everything we went through. 😂
I had an idea, which is why I skipped it. During my childbearing years I had a horrific fear of anything medical related, and I was also pretty ill (requiring multiple drugs each day). I could not have tolerated constantly being medically evaluated, the toll on my body, and potentially giving up any medications that I needed to live.
@@doctordarcy8385 Quitting medications is what worries me too, especially along with all the hormonal changes affecting a pregnant woman. Depending on the med, the woman would also have to give them up while breastfeeding.
@@kellymichelley It was not an option for me. I could not have gone without my medication. I could not even have blood drawn during those years -- I was too terrified. By the time I was 33, I ended up with severe endometriosis (Stage 4) and fibroids, so pregnancy was off the table anyway, (at least from a physiological standpoint). I have since aged out.
I just had my second baby 5 days ago. Unlike the first time, this time around I had a really good birth and I still cannot believe that I walked out of the hospital the same day as if nothing ever happened. I am absolutely stunned that my body did that, still can’t wrap my head around it
You are right when you say there really aren’t enough adjectives to describe this phenomenon!! Right now to me is ASTOUNDING! To think I’ve gone through this process twice knowing now what didn’t know then is incredible. Thank you so much for this humbling experience.
You forgot pressure on the bladder! I literally had to "go" every hour in the 3rd trimester. 😂 Excellent work! Thank you for this during Mother's Day ❤️
Really appreciated seeing the actual inside of the body. It really puts into perspective how much stretching and loving the body does to accommodate a fetus. Literally everything shift’s and expands…. Even the heart?!? Truly mind blowing!
I would love to learn the changes in the brain pregnancy brings. Like the different hormones that might get release during and after, how it affects the mood, the possible "maternal instinct" (which is probably more a "protection instinct", idk)... In any way, I love your videos, how well explained they are and the amount of drawing references they bring (mmmm me love yellow guts) Edit : typo
You also stop being able to remember things like names as easily (mom brain is real). This change can have effects for the rest of your life, too, not just right after pregnancy.
I find it interesting how that maternal instinct tends to last even after our children are full grown. It goes away in other mammals until they give birth again.
Same here! For literally the last three days, I have been in “nesting” mode. Just tons of energy! What’s going on? Total 180 from my good old lethargic and randomly sick 5 months. I asked myself “Is this the lowered hCg that he’s talking about? Does it suddenly make one feel like they have superpowers?” 😂
And some things never go back to the original size, sadly. I was a size 7 for shoes before becoming pregnant, but have been a size 8 for shoes ever since I had my twins.
I'm 35 in my 3rd pregnancy, and "morning sickness" has been different for each pregnancy. This time around, it's not every day. It's random. It likes to skip days and doesn't care if I've eaten. I am looking forward to my 15 weeks, when it went away the last two times. Good hand gestures in the video!
Was it different based on the gender of the baby? I had a baby girl and the morning sickness lasted about 7 months. We want a second baby but i am hoping its not bad the second time around.
So incredible what the body does during pregnancy! I would love for you to talk about pregnancy complications like the vena cava syndrome, hypertension, pre-eclampsia, deep vain thrombosis, diabetes, placenta previa, ectopic pregnancies or miscarriages, just to name a few. I'm a nursing student and paramedic, so I'm especially interested in all emergency aspects with symptoms and their etiology. Keep up the great content 😊
You should do a video of what happens to the body during the labor process. I mean, man, there must be a lot going on, and like, how amazing our body is! 🤯
I’d love to see a video about the on-going effects in the body of having a pregnancy; the things that change permanently, for a smooth pregnancy and a troublesome one.
I had HG each and every pregnancy. Thankfully after I had it confirmed with the first, the docs knew and kept an eye in it with my following pregnancies, and as soon as they were uncomfortable with my amount of puking...they jumped on treatment. Unfortunately, I still got hospitalized each time and ended up with picc lines and even a feeding tube with my 2nd pregnancy! Zofran is a life saver. Especially when I had my picc line and had to go around with an IV pole in public. Thankfully, people see that, and many volunteer to help. Which was. A godsend when my husband was deployed and I had a 2 yr old and a very difficult 2nd pregnancy.
I grew three new humans and can confirm everything described in this video (though my morning sickness wasn't much and I only remember it with my first). I loved being pregnant and most of my memories of it are positive (they were all about 2 decades ago, so it's hard to remember a lot) like being amused by watching the bump that was my baby's foot travel across my abdomen. But one strong not-so-good memory is how it was a challenge to roll over in bed in the third trimester with such a big belly. My babies were all 9 pounds at birth.
Hey, can you go over the different pregnancy complications that can happen? I had pre-eclampsia and delivered at 34 weeks and had an emergency C- section. Can you also go over what a C-section does to the Uterus and the complications that come along with that? Also, my morning sickness was awful, I threw up every day for 4 months, and it stopped and then came back in my 3rd trimester. Being pregnant was the most wonderful yet weird experience I've ever been through.
I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant. My first trimester felt a bit like a never ending hangover. The only thing I would say could be improved in this video is showing more pregnant women who don't look obviously pregnant. The hardest part of the first trimester was I didn't look pregnant at all and didn't want to tell people until the risk of miscarriage was lower so a lot of these symptoms I had to try to hide especially at work.
Sadly, showing or not we all probably hide things to some degree because regardless what employers say or portray they usually aren't as thrilled that their employee is pregnant, as the employee is. It's wrong. It's discriminating, but they don't care....they try to find other ways to get around the law.
Currently 26 weeks pregnant and I feel you so much regarding having to hide the pregnancy during first trimester. Thankfully I felt comfortable enough to tell my manager early on and she gave me a lot of allowances with regards to working from home, but boy it was hard trying to hide all the morning sickness, food aversion, and extreme fatigue around Christmas and New Year time. Don't know how people keep doing it while going to work, you're a trooper!
I understand not looking pregnant ! I am 22w with my first and I can literally feel the baby inside of me growing and taking up space and I walk around feeling huge but even my doctor said I am not the big. Also my boyfriend and family has said I’m hardly showing at all and I’m just like wdym?!!! It’s discouraging when you feel it but others can’t see it so it’s almost like they lack sympathy for you…
Lol it’s funny that you say the first trimester felt like a never ending hangover because that’s how I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child🤣 I went out for drinks on my bday but the hangover lasted a week so I thought something is very wrong🤔 I wish you and all these other ladies a happy/healthy pregnancy and safe delivery 🤍 and don’t worry about not showing! Baby is still growing, in due time you will be able to see that baby bump☺️ Remember we all carry different just cause your sis in law started showing at 10wks doesn’t mean you will. Don’t feel bad! 🤍
Omg, this really does feel like a never ending hangover (and you’re not even allowed a glass of Prosecco to ease up the feels). I am 8 weeks now, thankfully not vomiting, but the constant strong nausea, exhaustion even when not doing anything and also being so irritated by noises, smells, ugh!! Not so simple, and it’s still such a short term yet. Hope it will all be good and healthy.
I had HG in my first pregnancy and before I was out of my first trimester I had lost about 20 pounds/9 kilograms. It also caused me to get in an accident and total my car bc my job refused to let me take a sick day despite saying I wanted to go to the E.R. Ended up having a high risk pregnancy. It's no joke. Pregnancy is rough. If you know a pregnant woman, do what you can to make her comfortable and happy. She's going through it.
Hence never ever ever question or reason a pregnant lady why she feels or behaves the way she does. Unless guys r willing to share her physical pain and discomfort by going through it practically which is not possible given the human body structure. So respect your partner and suck it up whatever u r going through bcz trust me she is going through things u can't even understand and process. And also respect your mother even if she is nuts, she pushed u out for u to exist is good enough for u to value her😅❤ Also never having kids😂 after watching this... Love this channel. It has made me respect, accept and appreciate my body❤❤
It's important to have understanding & kindness for when people are going through things obviously...But pregnancy &/or being a mother isn't an excuse for abusive/toxic behavior ultimately, it's still unhealthy.
It's really strange feeling going on inside after delivery, because you kinda feel that all your organs drops down when the uterus starts shrinking back. Also it feels nice to deep breath again 😀 It's really great explanation why in the end of pregnancy (3rd trimester) we do whatever so slow and getting tired so quick 👍
@@LovelyAngel. well, if you would fall into panic attack just because you breathe but it's hard to do it deeply because there's no space for your lungs to expand, then I can't imagine how you would go through delivery 😅
Omg what's the BEST though is after delivery when you finally have enough room to eat a whole meal and then some! Lmao I was so sad when I couldn't finish my plates. ..I definitely made up for it when I gave birth
@@katiep3027 All eating habits stayed the same for me. Usually people say eat for 2, but it's the reason why many women has to work hard to lose weight gained during pregnancy. Through entire pregnancy I gained 16kg (35lbs) and lost it in a month after delivery
as a mother of 2 soon to be 3, i always amazed by my body and what it’s capable of! Thank you for recognizing the same as most men don’t get it! fascinating video!! keep them coming
I had hyperemesis gravidarum in both my pregnancies until the end. It was horrific and has firmly put me off having more children. Honestly though between that and now seeing this I understand why I still don't feel fully physically recovered even though my eldest is 5 and my youngest is 2.5. Imagine recovering from the stress to your body from this without the sickness, that alone would take ages, now add severe weight loss and not even being able to keep water down the entire time this was happening to you. Feel a bit more impressed with myself for even getting to the end of the day without a limb falling off now 😂
As a pregnant person currently thank you for this video and yes sometimes it is hard to catch a breath in the 3rd trimester I would love to see how the body and mind react during breastfeeding
@@shanishay9713thank you! How anyone can watch this video, see just a shred of what women go through to maintain human life on this earth, and then talk this foolishness about “pregnant person” is beyond sensible comprehension.
You should also discuss the negative aspects of it as well. People should think about what they could go through and be more informed before they make a decision to have kids.
I’ve heard stories from a few ladies that almost died during childbirth! It really opened my eyes to what a significant event childbirth is on the body.
@@Kyenta, The only thing I liked about being pregnant was No Periods! I know some ladies still have them, but mine went dormant for 9 months. But the 6 wks of afterbirth time... not fun!
@@lrzr96absolutely! But because it’s such a common event, most people are desensitized to how risky it is! I am pregnant with my second, and I will have to have a cesarean section (not by choice) to reduce the risk of uterine tear during labor. My first baby required an emergency C-section because she was breech when I went into labor. That could have been deadly for the both of us. So now, I have to have C-sections. ANYWAY, that is a major surgery. And my husband’s boss will likely not approve paternal leave because “child birth is a normal part of life, and I didn’t take off when my wife had our kids 30+ years ago” 😑. So I will have the weekend to “recover” and then I will be on my own for the majority of the day to care for my toddler and newborn with a fresh 4 inch surgery wound. 🙄 Thank God, I have my parents who are retired who will be with me to help me. Because I don’t think I could do it without injuring myself. But not every woman has that option..
I loovee your channel! I'm currently pregnant with my first baby (conceived with and IUD 😮). I'm sure I've watched this vid before but it hits wwaayyy different now. Im trying to be as informed as possible. Im halfway through week 11 so I hope to GOD everyone is right about things getting a little better in T2.
Hey! My baby has the same due date as yours! Idk why they call it morning sickness because it's midnight and I'm puking now. I am so tired of being sick all the time. Stressing about losing my job, money that I'm losing out on, losing sleep, and not to mention on top of puking constantly I'm starting to get a bunch of back pain 😅😅😅 I've been only able to stomach Ensure/Boost and any solid food comes back up. I'm gonna he happy when it's August
I was always fascinated with it as a child and now as an adult. Even after having my own 3 children, it is still amazing how the entire process works. It's truly a miracle that any baby and mom come through birth alive and intact. ❤
Thank God ♥️ He is the creator of life. He formed you. He created the heavens and Earth 🌎 The video magnifies His glory, He is the creator and we are designed. Jesus loves you ❤️
I suffered from pelvic girdle pain (or symphysis pubis dysfunction) during my pregnancy and it was horrible. I don’t think my doctors understood what it was and the epidural didn’t help at all with that pain. Two years later, I still feel it occasionally. I’d love to see you talk about it, even if it’s just to bring awareness to it.
Omg I also had this for both my pregnancies. Both at the 5 month mark, I started having excruciating pelvic pain, like someone kicked me in the pelvis every time I walked, or raised a foot higher than 8 inches (up stairs, getting into a car, etc). It was horrendous.
Y'all might consider checking out pelvic physical therapy --it can really help with the pain, even later on after pregnancy. I've been doing it after my third child and I have so much less pain and feel a lot stronger.
I had this when walking, and every so often I would almost fall down. You can’t imagine the panic that ensued in everyone around me! I think it was less painful for me than it was for them, particularly in the later months!
Dealt with that with all 3 pregnancies and afterwards. Currently dealing with it now 11 days post delivery of 3rd baby. My doctor is going to refer me to a physical therapist after my 6 weeks, she did my last pregnancy but I only went to one session. Kids have messed up my pelvic floor and it just needs to be realigned. I also have hip instability because of it. Sleeping with a pillow between my legs and wearing and SI belt during the day helps and also doing bridges until I start therapy. You should definitely talk to your OB about getting a referral to a physical therapist if you can.
Hyperemesis Gravidarum survivor here 🙋🏻♀️ I Can honestly tell you, that I felt like I was at deaths door many times, during my last pregnancy 😮 To say that it was very hard, is an understatement. Our daughter is “made” on Ondansetron, watermelon and Sun Lolly. I have not had a single bite of watermelon, since pregnacy. 😂 How I made it through, is beyound me. But my then 2 year old daughter and husband, kept me going. I am so happy, to have 2 beautiful daughters now. Some women suffering from HG have to either terminate the pregnacy, or loose it. And they will never get to have a baby 😢 So I feel very blessed, to have my girls, after all that suffering. One thing that has really changed, is my eating habits. When my husband is cooking meat, or bacon, I just about die 😂 The smell was so severe during pregnacy, and 7 years after, I still don’t eat the the things I used to, before getting pregnant.
Ugh!!! I found my people! Everybody thinks I exaggerate when I tell them how SICKKKK I was!!!!! I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. There were days I really didn’t think either me or my baby were gonna make it😅 yuck
Went thru HG with my 2yo baby girl & I’m 15 weeks going thru it even worse now! Thankfully my ob has agreed to tie/burn my tubes cuz it’s definitely been a down time, can’t work, been in the er 4x, been on at home iv/zofran pump! S/o to us mamas cuz pregnancy is no joke!! It’s crazy how some ppl could have 5+ kids with no issues 😮
Would you believe I actually got rid of one particular winter coat after birth because I threw up so many times when I was wearing it I associated it with my nausea. My mum ended up taking it and even years after having my baby I banned her from ever wearing it around me. It’s a nightmare that scars people in inexplicable ways
I'm at 29 weeks with my first baby right now. I knew nothing about pregnancy at the start and I have learned so much about our incredible bodies during this. It's been one of the most bizarre but amazing things I've ever experienced. And I've still got a while to go! I learn something new about my body every day. Love this video!
That’s amazing, congratulations! Seriously though, you think you have a while to go but it’ll go so fast. Plus, baby could come early (mine did, she’s a preemie that was born at 36 weeks) or then again could come late. But it’s amazing feeling being a mum.
One of the most interesting things to me (Side note I do prenatal massage as a License massage therapist) is the release of a hormone called relaxin that gets the connective tissue ready in the pelvis for birth and usually releases during the end of the second trimester/ beginning of the third trimester. Birth and pregnancy is fascinating.
@@Pokedawn100 yesss very well could be why. I’m in my second trimester with my first but by week 6 I noticed I had hip pain that only got worse. By week 22 I saw a chiropractor for the first time and she said due to relaxin by sacrum illium joint in my hip has shifted upwards and my mid spine has gone to the right. This baby is messin me up 😂
This is also released in the first trimester and reduces from 12 weeks - trust me, I had to look it up cause my muscles started aching after normal work outs.
Im a first time mom and I’m 11 weeks. Im use to having so much energy. My body is doing amazing things and I need to be patient with myself. Great video!❤
I remember thinking how out of control I was of my body while i was pregnant. The changes that happen to you are so automatic. I never had morning sickness but there was swelling and large veins showing up and you just temporarily turn into a machine for building a baby. So amazing.
I knew I was pregnant each time before any testing because all of a sudden I was covered in huge blood vessels, particularly on my chest area! Shocked me every time 😅.
It's horrible filling your body doesn't belong to you, you are out of control and al you have left to do till the rest of your life is just cope with it, you won't have it in control ever again, and that's horrendous
Pregnant with my 4th and my oldest (6.5) has ASD and is FACINATED with the science of it all. He loves this video. I had Hyperemesis with my first 3 kids and my 3 losses. EVERYONE was stunned because with this pregnancy I have had NO sickness. I have some food aversions, but no actual vomiting or real nausea! To the point that my healthcare provider sent us for very early scans to make sure baby was still there!
Your body, the female body, knows more. There's nothing to be scared. That's why we are called women. It is embedded in our DNA to give birth. Your body is now going into autopilot in that regard. You just need to eat healthy, do not stress, and live happy. If you see a movie and it makes you cry, go for it. Sugars, at a minimum, gestational diabetes is real. Keep your baby's father close. Things will change for him also. Otherwise, have fun.
Wow that's incredible. I'm now 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant so just about full term. It definately feels like everything has shifted throughout my pregnancy. I have been fortunate enough not to have any morning sickness but have had acid reflux which is a horrid thing too experience. Thanks for your video.
I'm postpartum after having twins. I had a short torso to start with. Kudos to all the moms who have carried triplets+, as well as those of us who have had 1 or 2 babes at a time!!
Currently 20 weeks with my first and boy let me tell you that hyperemesis gravidarum KICKED MY ASS. My first trimester was AWFUL. I lost 5kgs and only manage to gain 3kgs back so far. The nausea and vomiting is still happening even now in my second trimester, but as awful as what it is and has been, I'm relieved and happy to know my baby girl is growing and as healthy as ever! Personally my pregnancy sucks, but it's all worth it for the little human growing inside of me ❤
I got pregnant at age 38 with my only child. I loved being pregnant. One of the happiest times of my life. And then, I gave birth to the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. He is 19 years old today and in college.
The human body is mind blowing- absolutely beautiful ❤ I'd like to see the channel's take on conception, fertilization and the different phases of pregnancy, it never gets old
I LOVED being pregnant BUT….. I was so so sick. But I still loved to feel her and bond with her. I do have ptsd from how nauseated I was. Growing a baby is not easy, even the smoothest pregnancy. It is amazing and awesome that we can experience! No matter how you have a baby its magical!
I have emetophobia and it's because of the nausea that comes with most pregnancies that i've never had a child although i love kids. Mothers are saints and angels in my book.

@@SilverStarFourthis is called vasovagal syncope, my husband has this issue. He is super sensitive to blood pressure changes in the brain, so blood draw does that immediately, even causing seizing. Currently in the third trimester of my third pregnancy. Each pregnancy has been entirely differently in terms of symptoms. I am amazed that I birthed my children within 30 minutes of active labor and without medical intervention. So weird but empowering
This is the best video I’ve seen on the topic thus far, as a first time being pregnant I am learning as much as I can about what’s happening to my body and this was so enlightening. Please continue with this series!
I had HG my entire pregnancy in both pregnancies. It was the worst with my son and I had to get a pic line for meds and nutrients. It is so depressing, isolating and sad. Most people say you should be glad you can have a baby but it makes it difficult to get through the pregnancy. Glad I made it through!
I'm infertile. This video shows the beauty (and hardships) women face as they nurture their children. ❤ I would be VERY interested if they did a series on infertility!
Yes, I too had requested something on similar lines - Mullarian Agenesis to be precise. However, we know they have to get a cadaver with the anomaly for a demo.
I know some people who are and are super fat. Since put body is a machine. If the machine is not healthy enough, it will not get pregnant because of the extra fat or hidden health issue. Some yeah, don't have the right eggs.
Please don't give up .... You can still be a mom ... .so many children that long for your Love .... It's amazing what mom can do ... Like make a mess in the kitchen .. You just cleaned the living room .. Turn around and . OMG .. What happened ... You have kiddos .....
@@maryross1875 some people can’t help to be infertile. It could be a condition or something but it shouldn’t stop them from being a mum. As it’s said, adoption is an option. Just because one can’t have biological kids, doesn’t mean they can’t be a mum to a deserving child worthy of a loving home,
I used to be infertile. I was diagnosed with severe PCOS and had less than a 1% chance to get pregnant without aggressive medical intervention. Now I have no sign of PCOS and I am very fertile. The doctors are constantly asking me why my records have PCOS on my records when they no longer believe I have it. I learned a lot in my past ten years to reverse my condition. There is hope that things can and will change. There’s too much to share about healing infertility and multiple types of infertility by amping up all working parts of the reproductive system. However, a common thing that helps a lot is to heal your hormones through rich nutrition and reducing cortisol. Stress reduction exercise like yoga, dancing or weightlifting really did a lot overtime. Also, good sleep hygiene! The next thing is timing. Fresh and healthy sperm supply needs to happen as soon as you can tell you ovulate. As long as you have ovaries, open fallopian tubes and fertile sperm present, it’s almost impossible to not get pregnant but you have to learn and understand your body hormonally a lot too. I hope that whatever infertility you experience, that you can heal yourself and find this advice helpful. I always empathize and want to help those who carry the burden and grief of infertility.
I lost half my blood when I birthed my first (2 year old) because my placenta didn’t detach from the wall properly. I’m now 4 weeks pregnant with my second and I’m terrified this is going to happen to me again. I’m even more terrified now I know that you’ve had this twice!!!!
@@The-C1arkeC1an at least there are flew changes that it will happen twice so don't be too pessimistic, I feel your fear but nothing is written on stone. There are no possibilities to understand it before getting birth? It would prepare the patient and the hospital for better intervention.

Once done with pregnancy, check your dental situation. Most of those conditions come from passive infections in the gums (root canals, cavitations …)
Often all those conditions regress after removing those dead teeth. ❤

I've never seen glamorized pregnancy. At worst, it may be not talked about enough.

I'm so sorry your wife went through that, I'm grateful everyone is okay now.
I had it, too. It’s awful. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m glad your wife and child are ok.
Yeah I had it twice. It reeked havoc on my body. It took al least 5 years for my body to heal and 7 years for my mental state to go back to normal. It was horrendous.

Omg right!! I’ve had two kids and I couldn’t imagine having HG. That shit is BRUTAL. Everyone I know that’s had it, has ended up in the hospital. I think some people don’t realize it’s as extreme as it is. My heart goes out with anyone dealing with HG.
People are complete idiots. It not just this but any type of illness they themselves have not had to deal with. Just a pure lack of compassion.
My friend felt suicidal as she also had HG throughout her 2nd. Child. She didn’t talk and socialise. I’m just amazed she got through all that

And mine didn't go back afterwards!
The pelvis modifies and feet spread, too. Walking or rolling over in bed can get to be really painful.
It now makes sense why the band of my bra was so damn uncomfortable. I hated it!
WOW! 😮
OMG. That's incredible ! Really hats off to you for handling it. Curious to know, how did your body react to birth along with cancer ? Were you on cancer treatment along with pregnancy ? Either ways it would have been crazy for your body to cope with both. I hope you healed well. ✌️

Hi y
Hi, also a mom & a nurse. I kept running to Radiology for Sonagrams
What is a mother? I am only familiar with the terms birthing people or people with vaginas
I didnt even have morning sickness, I ate everything but I would never finish my food, but I was fine really. Im craving a lot more food now.
I carried triplets to 34 weeks, all in separate sacs with nothing shared. It would be interesting to hear more about the extremes the body undergoes. Also, what happens after delivery/cesarean.
Hats off to you 😘 that could not have been easy.
Oh wow how amazing
WOW 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
👏 Can we have more evidence that we are designed? 🥳
Intricacies such as these don't arrive from a worm who decided to turn into a fish and crawl out of water.
Whoo! Praise Jesus, He is alive.
You are loved 💕
Congrats! I’m pregnant with fraternal twin boys right now. I’m currently 32 weeks 😊❤️ I’ll be 33 weeks on Saturday.
I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with my first baby. You have no idea how the body changes. Not just physical but also mentally and emotionally. Pregnancy is such a hard journey. I didn’t know it would be this hard. Carrying a human being for 9-10 months is just overwhelming
Girl I'm on my 5th (18 weeks) and my uterus probably wants to jump in traffic at this point 😂
Yeah I'm not willing to put my body through *any* of this. To the women who do, thank you! 💝
You forgot pressure on the bladder! I literally had to "go" every hour in the 3rd trimester. 😂 Excellent work! Thank you for this during Mother's Day ❤️
I was going closer to every 40.. idk even know how many times I said "wait, Let me pee first" 😂
15 weeks pregnant and I have to pee every hour, cannot wait to have this baby
Especially when the little bundle of joy kicks you right there 😅
Good job pushing innocent sentient beings into a horrible already overpopulated world. 😊👍
Every hour? I go every hour too, I'm not pregnant 😂
In any way, I love your videos, how well explained they are and the amount of drawing references they bring (mmmm me love yellow guts)
Edit : typo
You lose it. After my brood (7) .... well I'm still looking for it !!
Yes, brain changes are interesting. Add weird dreams to the list.
Although I doubt it's something they can explain via anatomy.
@Institute of Human Anatomy
Could we maybe go over how the body recovers after childbirth? Such as how does everything shrink back?
And some things never go back to the original size, sadly.
I was a size 7 for shoes before becoming pregnant, but have been a size 8 for shoes ever since I had my twins.
Agreed, I would like to see that too
@Kylie Pechler
Yeah I've always been curious what snaps back and what doesn't.
Shoe size is one I've heard of
Mom of four here. Things shrink back??? Whaaaaaat ? 😆
@Sarah S
Lol idk anything, just a curious teen
I'm 35 in my 3rd pregnancy, and "morning sickness" has been different for each pregnancy. This time around, it's not every day. It's random. It likes to skip days and doesn't care if I've eaten. I am looking forward to my 15 weeks, when it went away the last two times. Good hand gestures in the video!
Was it different based on the gender of the baby? I had a baby girl and the morning sickness lasted about 7 months. We want a second baby but i am hoping its not bad the second time around.
I’ve never been pregnant, and never plan to be. But even as a woman, this info blows me away.
My fingers never went back to normal size lol. I can’t wear my wedding ring 4 years later!
Almost lost my teeth and lost hair.
Never again!
It would be interesting to know how the body recovers postpartum. Loving this series 👌🏻
I’m saving this for later so that my husband doesn’t just think I’m being dramatic when we have children.🤣 He loves educational videos. So thank you!
This is phenomenal! My children are grown and I now have grandchildren. I can't thank you enough for shedding the light on our awesomeness!
I think they did a video about c-section last year. That video is what got me hooked on their channel.
It is so refreshing to see, someone, especially, a man be so excited about pregnancy. It never ceases to amaze me how wonderfully we are made.
After watching this video, i valued my mum more than i valued her b4, men really need to treat their pregnant wives with care and love!
And also respect your mother even if she is nuts, she pushed u out for u to exist is good enough for u to value her😅❤
Also never having kids😂 after watching this...
Love this channel. It has made me respect, accept and appreciate my body❤❤
If she’s nuts then she’s abusive that’s not a good mother
It's important to have understanding & kindness for when people are going through things obviously...But pregnancy &/or being a mother isn't an excuse for abusive/toxic behavior ultimately, it's still unhealthy.
Never having kids is terrible, how selfish to end your line after everything your ancestors accomplished for you ti be alive.
Can you do a video on postpartum stuff too? Like how the body heals and what happens? Also a video on the mechanics of breastfeeding would be awesome
It's really strange feeling going on inside after delivery, because you kinda feel that all your organs drops down when the uterus starts shrinking back. Also it feels nice to deep breath again 😀
It's really great explanation why in the end of pregnancy (3rd trimester) we do whatever so slow and getting tired so quick 👍
Great thing I decided to never get pregnant, I'd probably fall in a panic attack if I'd be restrained from breathing deeply 😰
Yes! I remember that organ dropping feeling. It was certainly a strange feeling.
as a mother of 2 soon to be 3, i always amazed by my body and what it’s capable of! Thank you for recognizing the same as most men don’t get it!
fascinating video!! keep them coming
All husbands need to watch this. And as a mother, this was really good to watch! Learned a lot.
Feel a bit more impressed with myself for even getting to the end of the day without a limb falling off now 😂
You are a warrior and Queen. Blessings to you and your family. I hope you, with time, fully recover!
Omg I had it with both my kids too which is why my oldest is 23 and youngest is almost 10 😂 it was Rough!! Especially working during the pregnancies!
Good job pushing innocent sentient beings into a horrible already overpopulated world. 😊👍

As a pregnant person currently thank you for this video and yes sometimes it is hard to catch a breath in the 3rd trimester I would love to see how the body and mind react during breastfeeding
A pregnant woman
@@shanishay9713thank you! How anyone can watch this video, see just a shred of what women go through to maintain human life on this earth, and then talk this foolishness about “pregnant person” is beyond sensible comprehension.
Would love to see how pregnancy effects the skeletal system. And what is the effect postpartum.
Growing a tiny human is hard work and a miracle!
Bones and joints relax and shift around. It's insane.
Would love this too. Currently almost at third trimester myself and would love to get an insight on how my skeleton may change permanently!
Well I know this it does leave "scars" on Ur bones.probably the wrong word to use but it's the best I can come up with atm
You should also discuss the negative aspects of it as well. People should think about what they could go through and be more informed before they make a decision to have kids.
Absolutely agree, all these people thinking it's all rainbow and sunshine could benefit from learning the rougher aspect of pregnancy as well.
This. So much this.
I’m in my second trimester of my first pregnancy and honestly the morning sickness is brutal. I’m expecting my little girl September 4th. So excited😍.
I’m due sept 20!
The 4th of September is a wonderful day to be born, speaking from experience ^^ Best of luck to the both of you! :)

Thank you all. 😊 I'm excited.
I was always fascinated with it as a child and now as an adult. Even after having my own 3 children, it is still amazing how the entire process works. It's truly a miracle that any baby and mom come through birth alive and intact. ❤

You need to get some physical therapy or see a chiropractor!
Yesss it was the absolute worse ..makes me know for sure this is my last baby lol
Would you believe I actually got rid of one particular winter coat after birth because I threw up so many times when I was wearing it I associated it with my nausea. My mum ended up taking it and even years after having my baby I banned her from ever wearing it around me. It’s a nightmare that scars people in inexplicable ways
Good job pushing innocent sentient beings into a horrible already overpopulated world. 😊👍
Just had my baby girl 8 months ago and this makes me even more appreciative that i was able to do so and endure it ❤🥺
As a mother of two (both C-sections), I really appreciate this video!🙌🏼
Wonder if that added to the hip discomfort that started for me as soon as I hit the 3rd trimester.

That's a horrible way to put it, a machine?

I had Hyperemesis with my first 3 kids and my 3 losses. EVERYONE was stunned because with this pregnancy I have had NO sickness. I have some food aversions, but no actual vomiting or real nausea! To the point that my healthcare provider sent us for very early scans to make sure baby was still there!
I'm pregnant for the first time, 8 weeks, and oh boy, this is terrifying 😳
Please don’t be. It’s a beautiful thing. ❤️
Don’t be scared. Your body knows what to do. Take care of yourself and your body will take care of the baby.
Congratulations and all the best!
Your body, the female body, knows more. There's nothing to be scared. That's why we are called women. It is embedded in our DNA to give birth. Your body is now going into autopilot in that regard. You just need to eat healthy, do not stress, and live happy.

Had 2. Waste of time. Don't bother. Live your life for you and enjoy it.
My mouth has refused to close. Someone pick it off the ground for me. WOW! Well done.❤
The woman body is incredible. I'll like to understand what the body does during ovulation too.
They have three videos (if I 'm not mistaken) dedicated to women's cycle on their channel. Also very interesting!☺
Currently in the third trimester of my third pregnancy. Each pregnancy has been entirely differently in terms of symptoms. I am amazed that I birthed my children within 30 minutes of active labor and without medical intervention. So weird but empowering
Meeee to but baby number 5 😅😅 and man the ring of fire was worth it everytime ❤congrats mama 💪🏽
I was so lucky out of all my 5 pregnancies ( twins included) I never experienced morning sickness 🎉
You probably eat healthy and don't have a lot of toxins in your body. In other countries morning sickness is called a detox.
I’m 24 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness and heart burn went away at 18 weeks😊 this video came at the right time 🎉 thank you.
Congratulations!
@@laurabecker2442 thank you
I'm infertile. This video shows the beauty (and hardships) women face as they nurture their children. ❤
I would be VERY interested if they did a series on infertility!
As someone who had two life-threatening postpartum hemmhorages, I can confirm being pregnant and giving birth is absolutely wild and scary
I would love to hear more about this. I’m a first time mom and this is a big fear of mine
I lost half my blood when I birthed my first (2 year old) because my placenta didn’t detach from the wall properly. I’m now 4 weeks pregnant with my second and I’m terrified this is going to happen to me again. I’m even more terrified now I know that you’ve had this twice!!!!
@@The-C1arkeC1anwhat the doctor says?
@@asamicat8323 My OB says it’s no more likely or unlikely to happen a second time. Every birth is different so it’s a luck of the draw really :/
@@The-C1arkeC1an at least there are flew changes that it will happen twice so don't be too pessimistic, I feel your fear but nothing is written on stone. There are no possibilities to understand it before getting birth? It would prepare the patient and the hospital for better intervention.
This was fantastic! Please do a delivery and post delivery video.
Thank you! Will do!
Yes, this! ❤
To think that the uterus can stretch so much is unbelievable.
I loved being pregnant! It had its discomforts, and birth was no picnic, but how blessed am I to have carried, nourished, known, and given birth to my children? 🥰
Thank you, Lord!
I love it too! I'm 28 weeks and enjoying every second❤
@@OfficialMuffiin Oh, I’m so glad!
Good luck to you! 🥰
