I do not own the rights to this video
Kiss- "Detroit Rock City" "Love Gun" "Lick it Up" "Rock n Roll All night"
Yes!!! All of these!!! Love Gun most definitely!!! You must must listen!!!!!!
Yes those are absolutely gold
God of Thunder and I love it loud .Lick it up lol
Deuce, Cold Gin, and Strutter if you want the original hits
lick it up has the sickest video haha
I don’t care what people say about this song.. disco this.. disco that.. this song was good asf!!
Yep! Cuz at the end if the day it's all about the song! The art of the song! Groove , melody , vibe , emotion.. how does it really speak to you ! For me of course the whole song and all its components are great together the full package but it's got to be that guitar riff that hook , yall know what talking about . PLUS! ITS THE LATE 70'S !👍🏼
Kiss were so awesome that could make hard rock sound like disco-ish and crossover to a mainstream audience without really betraying themselves. They even adapted to the 80s style of hair metal when they took the face paint and the spikes off
KISS fans are killing themselves over you listening to this as your first KISS song, lol. This was when they went disco, and fans revolted! They don't usually sound like this. But I always liked this song a lot myself.
Yup I totally agree
So true. KISS army went AWOL
They did but a lot of the Kiss Army liked this song & still love it in concert. I think this is the song the Kiss Army forgave them for on this album.
I nearly cried. If he does another KISS song he’s going to be confused. Let’s see Beth then 100,000 Years. That’s some whiplash.
I’m partial to Strutter myself.
I’m a born and raised KISS fan and I approve this song 💯. Listen to anything besides rock n roll all nite and shout it out loud.
I don't care which Kiss song you started with, I'm just glad that it was from the original lineup and the 70's makeup era.
That song divides Kiss fans, but if the Rolling Stones can do songs like Hot Stuff, Emotional Rescue, and Miss You without taking any crap from their fans, Kiss fans can live with one disco song.
Right on!!
People hated it at the time because they felt that KISS was catering to current trends instead of staying true to themselves. It was nicknamed KISCO (KISS + disco). Gene hates the song because of the fact to chorus was “Do Do Dodoo”.
@@CamaroAmx my boyfriend agrees w u. I just like the fact that I was the original 4...I would've started w black diamond myself.
Rolling Stones did Miss You, Rod Stewart did Do Ya Think I'm Sexy, Paul McCartney did Goodnight Tonight, The Eagles did One Of These Nights, and ELO did...well...several songs but especially Shine a Little Love and their collaboration with Olivia Newton John on Xanadu. But somehow this song by KISS gets the most crap from rock fans. Ok then. KISS proved they could do ballads with Beth and disco with this song, but critics said they had no talent and the Rock Hall ignored them for far too long. Insert eye-roll.
Praise!! 🙌
Gene Simmons was an okay singer, but Paul Stanley had an amazing voice. I saw them live in 1978 and still one of the best live shows I've seen. They were great entertainers.
I saw them twice in the 90s, the reunion tour and the Psycho Circus tour, and they're still among the best live shows around. Agreed about Paul Stanley's amazing voice, too. Have you heard him doing Phantom of the Opera? I've only seen craptastic fan-cam videos, but he played the role of the Phantom a while back, I think it was in Toronto, Canada.
i hope i can see their concert at least once in my life
They are all okay singers except Paul, he has a great voice.
KISS Army checking in...
Man, gotta give it to Gene on this one. His bass just DRIVES this tune!! 👍🏽🇺🇸
I saw their last ever gig in Australia...thry are still great entertainers!!
And this is how this guy becomes a Rock Fan.
He's becoming a metal head and did not realized it yet. xD
Guns N’ Roses got him started, now he’s moving into Kiss. Good direction to go.
How by listening to the worst possible introduction to Kiss? This was their Disco period and when their hardcore fans split.
Duece, Strutter. Come on. T
Yup 🤘
@Brett Hamilton My complaint was aimed at t though's whom suggested it. Nothing wrong with it, just not for a first time reaction. Growing up with Kiss, both this and Love it Loud was after their heyday. At 9 and 10 I was introduced to Kiss Alive I. That should be everyone's intriduction. I suggest from Kiss Alive I the first 2 cuts, Duece and Strutter. Enjoy.
Paul has an immense voice. This was off the disco album.
Paul is good for the love songs
Gene for the hard Rock
Ace for straight rockers
Peter good for what he did
Peter for the ballads. Beth still stops me in my tracks. I just lower my head, close my eyes, and feel the emotion in the song. If you have ever worked a job out on the road that keeps you away from your loved ones for weeks at a time, you get it.
@@Rebelrocker69 I couldn't agree more. He also sang "Hard Luck Woman" Beth had always gotten to me.
Paul has unfortunately lost his voice with age.
I went to their show a few years back. It still was an amazing show but... he just can't sing those notes anymore.
Sad.
Still a great amazing band that anyone should try to see at least once!
@@TheMarcodiator He has lost the high register, it happens some times. The other day I was listening to Elton John and someone requested him to play "Daniel" he played it but he couldn't hit those soaring falsetto's, like Paul he's lost high higher register. I have to hand it to them both, because even without those falsetto's they have learned to make the songs work & still sing.
@@BeachDreamere yeah :-/ I did not notice during the concert itself, but then I saw a video someone else took and... oh it was sad that he couldn't do it anymore.
But again, great show!
The singer’s name is Paul Stanley and he attended a performing arts school in New York. That’s why he sounds like he took singing lessons, because he did. 😊
Next songs for you by Kiss: I Still Love You, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun, Rock N Roll All Nite, Creatures of the Night, Forever and God Gave Rock N Roll To You
God of thunder, doctor of love.
Duece and Strutter. Always start with a bands earliest material. BTW you do realize God Gave R&R To You is a cover right? Originally by Argent.
@@jgsrhythm100 Yes, I know it’s a cover. So what? Reacting to a cover is wrong? BTW, this cover trumps the original and the one made by Petra
@@johnnyc0882 I hear you, I just think a cover from later in their career, should not be one the very first introduction to Kiss.
I would say Kiss Alive 1 should be the starting point, then go straight to Destroyer and so on.
Kiss was a 70s influence. They were so bizarre and, even Motley Crue wore makeup like KISS. I've been a member of the KISS ARMY fan club since 1977. "You wanted the best, you got the best."
Kiss's signature song is "Rock n Roll All Night". I would suggest the live version of this song. That song you might have actually heard before somewhere.
Also "All Hell's Breakin' Loose" if you want a little Kiss Rap.
Blue Oyster Cult - Don’t Fear The Reaper
Iron Maiden - Can I Play With Madness
Dio - Holy Diver
Blue öyster cult - whatever except Dont fear...
@@AngryPostmanStockholm potato - pötato
Great songs. BOC Astronomy. That song got a hook into me long ago. I'm trying to drive 55, but more like 10
yesss
Omg yes Holy Diver is an amazing song 😍😍😍😍😍
"I'm not trying to listen to no crap today!" LMAO!!
🤣🤣🤣
@@LFRJojo why did your mom name you LFR? What does finna and no cap mean?
My name isn’t LFR that’s an acronym, finna means “about to”, no cap means no lie
@@LFRJojo so, if you're gonna lie you say I'm finna cap?? What is it an acronym for??
@Jonathan Gaither I'm finna. Soon as Mr LFR replies. No cap. Stop frontin and step off.
'God pissed on his lungs!!!' Dude you're killing me.
Omg that was hilarious
😂😂😂👌🏻🤦👍🏻❤🖤🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@rhondawileman1466 whaeut type of hyroglyphics are those?
Kiss:
1. I Still Love You (Unplugged); -> incredible vocal performance;
2. Rock & Roll All Night with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra;
3. God of Thunder with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
4. Love Gun (Smashes, Thrashes & Hits).
5. Black Diamond (1975 promo).
No! I Still Love You on Alive III.
Love Gun from the 2000 concert in NJ.
You need to listen to Heavens on fire by kiss. You will see them without makeup and at their wildest.
This is my ring tone for my husband!! I've seen them in concert three times since 1978. LOVE them!
This was actually their attempt at Disco during that era. I love the song, and KISS needs to be explored. Alot of cheese but the performance makes them
Every time I listen to Kiss they always sound better than I remember. They never needed the gimmicks and makeup - they're great artists. You'll probably LOVE Back in a New York Groove, which is their most successful song as far as airplay went back in the day.
Back then, record execs invested a lot of money in their artists so they didn't sign them for their looks but for their talent. They were all real singers who could sing live during long concerts in front of thousands of people. They never cheated their fans by lipsynching.
Kiss - Detroit Rock City, Rock n Roll All Night, Love Gun, Heaven's on Fire, Lick it Up
I have been waiting for you to listen to KISS. I love them! They are legends! Both Paul Stanley (Star Child) & Gene Simmons (Demon) are the main singers of the group. Paul is singing this one. So many great songs of theirs you can listen too!
I saw KISS in August 2019 in Toronto. AWESOME in concert does not even do them justice. Glad this was your introduction to them... one of my favs. Also like Forever, Rock Hard, I Love it Loud.
Check out a few other groups like Mötley Crüe, Dokken, and Judas Priest.
Listen to "Detroit Rock City" & "Rock n Roll All Night!" Asap! Trust me, I'm old!😂! You'll be blown away!!!!!🗺️☮️❣️
Aaaaand welcome to the Kiss Army. Glad you could join us. Lol First song and hooked. A very original group in many ways and they have talent at all positions.
"This is a good first impression." Yeah, man. KISS makes a crazy good first impression. They don't have the dopest catalog or a huge amount of variety in what they do, but the whole act was designed to grab you by the shoulders and it sure as heck does!
Paul sang a lot of Motown and R&B before KISS and the precursor to KISS . He had a great, soulful voice.
I was a teen at their first insane peak of fame...I am now 56...this song gave me chills then and gives me chills now. Paul wrote it and he is a master song writer and his voice, oh my goodness...talk about LIT. LOVED YOUR REACTION
Great classic 😎👍 .. few other songs from KISS - Deuce ... Detroit Rock City ... Rock n' Roll all night ... I love it loud ... Strutter .. 😎👍
Great reaction Jojo! It's obvious you've a real love for music. Keep exploring! Sending good vibes from Ireland to you and your family! 🇮🇪
Maybe try a reaction to our greatest ever rock band, Thin Lizzy. 😊
Yes!! Jailbreak
Thin Lizzy is soooooo underrated
"Hide Your Heart", "I Love It Loud", "Sure Know Something", "Got To Choose", "Lick It Up" and of course "I Was Made For Lovin' You" are my favourite songs from KISS and in my opinion Hide your heart is the best one and you should listen to that one next
If you wanna hear Paul sing try “I Still Love You” unplugged. Classic KISS
He sounds way better singing it on Alive III.
@@bottomlesspit7 I like the stripped down version, sounds more raw and real to me but both are great
@@1221tesla true. But Paul does get to go all out with his vocals in III.
Definitely this one!
He goes off in that one!
My husband bought that record in 1978. It was during the disco era. Dynasty is one of my favorite albums.
@@jasonhitchcock8911 oh must have been a year off. I’ll have to go look at the album
LFR: "What octave was he even singing?"
All of them lol
Ace Frehley literally making his guitar sing! Great description of a Icon!
Many KISS fans stood by them even though they got into disco, many good songs. No one can deny that
Each member has at least one song in their repertoire that highlights their singing voice.
The lead singer in the video is the rythem guitarist is Paul Stanley, he is known as the Star Child. He has a fantastic voice and that high pitch voice is called a head voice or falsetto. The Demon & bass guitarist is the other co-singer Gene Simmons the guitarist with the extremely long tongue 😂 Peter Criss is the Catman behind the drums and has a sweet voice along the lines of Rod Stewart but Peter Criss sang 2 songs "Beth" and "Hard Luck Woman." The lead guitarist is Ace Freely, the Spaceman aka Space Ace 😊
I see plenty of comments below for people suggesting songs. I'm glad you enjoyed the song & hope you enjoy many others. This is the band I have seen in concert more times than I can count. I always liked Kiss & saw them in my teens but an ex of mine was an absolute fanatic and we literally saw them every time we came around 😂 my favorite concert of theirs was when Aerosmith opened for them, I like Aerosmith a lot & was one of the bands I didn't get to see. The two together did not disappoint.
Welcome to your intro to Kiss, I hope you enjoy the rest of the ride. 😊
To hear a major rock anthem you have to listen to "rock and roll all night"
KISS is the bomb. I saw them when they started wearing their makeup again. Paul has an AWESOME voice.
A great song is a great song .Yes this was a departure for the classic kiss sound but hey, they hit the jackpot in my book with this.
I grew up in Johnson City Tennessee in 1977 I was 10 and they came to Freedom Hall Civic Center which was roughly about 3 to 4 miles away from my house, I remember being able to hear them sing and play as clear as if I was there from my front porch, out of all the concerts that ever came there that was the only one I was ever able to hear from home.
As a teen in the 70’s , my favourite song of theirs is Beth. Beautiful.
Don't let haters get to you.
I've been a KISS fan since 1975 and I like I Was Made For Loving You.
"You want the best, you got the best! The hottest band in the world............ KISS!!!!" That's how every concert started!!!! Great selection bro. Rock on!!!
Welcome to the KISS Army! Can't wait for you to do more KISS songs. Check out Paul Stanley's (KISS lead singer) Soul Station Then and Now album. You are right, he can sing! (He also played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera in Toronto.)
Not all Kiss songs are like this, but most of them are catchy as hell
Paul Stanley ~ vocals .. Gene Simmons ~ bass .. Ace Freely ~ lead guitar and Peter Criss on drums.
Man, I'm glad you got to listen to KISS! This is one of the most badass bands ever and one of the most profitable as well!
Paul Stanley is one of the greatest singers of all time! He yelled his lungs out every single concert! I'm a die hard KISS fan since I was three years old. I've been to Kiss concerts 4 times since they came back to Brazil in 2009 and so on. First concert of my life was part of Alive 35 Tour! Amazing!
You should definitely check out MTV's Unplugged version for I Still Love You, Paul just kills it!
Who Wants to be Lonely, I'll Fight Hell To Hold You, Lick it Up, Heaven's on Fire are classics from the 80s. Black diamond from their debut album is such a good song too, you could see Peter Criss rocking out on this one!
I Stole Your Love has a killing guitar riff!
Their music brings me so much joy! No cap man, keep up the good work!
I just love this guy's reactions it's so honest and his really fun.❤😊
NEED to watch one of their live videos!! Amazing stage show.
Nice reaction. I think you will enjoy Detroit Rock City and Rock N Roll All Night. Both very catchy.
Simply a badass song! We passed through the 80s, where people were sensitive to disco-oriented songs. But now, without all that stupid thinking, this song just rocks.
Awesome 😎!!! Rock and roll all night is good, and Beth!!! Welcome to KISS!!!
He’s not ready for iron maiden yet fellers! He’s already hooked we can’t scare him with run to the hills too early🤫
Also try “I love it loud”
Agreed!
Ive been to 17 kiss concerts. They are amazing to watch.
I actually watched this vid the 1st time the second it dropped, huge fan of yours! If we could all have an open mind like this when dealing with new ppl, who r different than us, what a better world it would be!! Try Detroit Rock City, Rock and Roll All Night, Heaven on Fire, Beth is an awesome ballad,! Anyway keep doing what ur doing, I am loving it NO CAP!!✌️
Kiss rocked at the Gourge at George here in WA. last Nov. BEST CONCERT EVER. And I have seen about 30. great to see anyone discover real ROCK AND ROLL.
Detroit rock city next
Lead guitar - Paul Stanley
Ace Frehley - backing guitar
Bass guitar - Gene Simmons(AKA the man with the longest tongue, so they say. I wouldn't doubt it, either.)
Drums - Peter Criss
And a list of other band member's. But, these were the 4 who made KISS who they are today. And, they went through as many backing guitarist's, due to Gene & Paul refusing to have drug user's, or drinker's in the band. And, each of those alternating guitarist's were caught either drinking, or doing drug's, so they booted them out and replaced them, at least until they sobered up. But, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons & Eric Carr(Original drummer.) were the main 3, until Eric died in 91', leaving Paul & Gene as the remaining original member's, from the start. And, this was from the Disco era, when they went a bit soft and tried to do the Disco scene, as it was what was hip at the time, in the 70's...
I loved this... I just shared it to a kiss group.
Because you reacted to this song you have a new subscriber! I grew up with KISS (I was a young child then) and this was my favorite song of theirs. You should react to Beth, Detroit Rock City, Lick It Up, Rock n' Roll All Night, there are so many of their songs that are awesome. They were HUGE when I was a kid. The members are Paul Stanley (on this songs vocals), Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss.
Lol, not the reaction I expected. Glad you liked it. Great stuff...
Dud you are killing me Haha love to see you getting in to it. You reaction is priceless 🤣
LOL... that was great to watch. This was also one of my first Kiss songs... this and the Creatures album.... because the year was 1982. Great song, Paul Stanley!
Dude this is what real music sounds like..If you like it or don't like it learn to love it...WOOOOOO!!!!!!
Yeah that hook can stick in your head. Check out "Rock N Roll All Nite" the studio version original
I love your videos man! keep on rocking! more AC/DC!
Just LOVE your reaction!! I am glad you gave KISS a chance and that you enjoyed the video!!
Omg, my brother had a life size poster of KISS .........and he still has it. And this was from the late mid 70's
They are one of the legends of rock. Still are one of the best until this day. Kiss for life bro☺
KISS was my sister and I first concert way back in 1976 it was the Destroyer tour .... I was 14, Paul looks like he's wearing a sweater with all that chest hair! 😂🤣
This is my fave Kiss song ! ROCK ON JOjo 🤘
Dude yer face when Paul was hitting those high notes... pure gold.
If you EVER get a chance to see KISS....Please GO! They are amazing live!
3 generations of my family had a random dance mob to this on Good Friday... thanks Mom
Amazing song great reaction bro 😎
KISS was my first and all time favorite band to see live. They had an Egyptian head come up through the stage 😱 with no lights on. then the lasers pour from the eyes and mouth and above the stage. Now best part. With lasers fog and perfect stage lighting behind them that shows them coming out of Egyptians mouth. Just awesome band and still rocking it(this new year's 2020 into 2021). Thanks for the memories KISS. Peace and love ✌💙
Paul Stanley showing off that falsetto. Love it can't get enough of his falsetto.
Space Ace Frehley on guitar was self taught! He's still rocking! He was such a showman, smoking guitar, rocket-firing guitar.... when he accidentally got electrocuted on stage, some thought it was still part of the show! He lived and laughed...... Still has "Trouble Walkin'"!
Absolutely LOVED your reaction!!!!
KISS- “CHARISMA” “DETROIT ROCK CITY” “2000 MAN” “SHOUT IT OUT LOUD” “UNHOLY” “HEAVEN’S ON FIRE” “BLACK DIAMOND” “GOD GAVE ROCK AND ROLL TO YOU” “SHOCK ME”
Awesome!
Suggestions for Kiss:
1. Love Gun
2. Tears are falling
3. Detroit Rock City
4. Hard luck woman
5. God gave rocknroll to you
Great band great sound great memories.
"he sounds like a real singer" , god bless you LFR bc you are right. Today's singer sound all the same
Upvoted. Gotta respect the appreciation for good music.
Kiss "I Love It Loud" another great song
Great reaction. It took a lot of flack back in the day for being "disco", but really to me? That was their best song. (And they did have a lot of good ones!)
This song is absolutely awesome the vocals of Paul Stanley and the guitars sound incredible what a tune
If you are impressed by his voice, watch them play "I still love you" from their MTV Unplugged concert.
This guy knows music cause he can tell how good they really are you have talent that's why you have a channel
Paul Stanley has an amazing voice. I’ve seen them many times. So glad you’ve started on your way to discovering how great Kiss really is. Also, listen to Paul Stanley’s latest solo album Soul Station. Love it.
KISS was literally the first I’ve heard rock music from and they the first band that got me into rock and discover more amazing rock bands I recommend u listening to Love Gun, Black Diamond and 100,000 years
Kiss is awesome 👍 I've listened to them since the 70's, and still listen to them. Detroit Rock City is a great song, Rock n roll all night is another. All of there songs actually. I also have watched all of the Nightwish songs that you have reacted to. But I haven't heard, seen, the song Nemo.unless I've missed it somehow. Keep up the good work, LFR JoJo,👍🇭🇲
Kiss puts on the best shows . It was one of the bands I seen in concert .
KISS was my very first concert..... at 4 years old....that pretty much put me on the road to being a rock and roll lover for life.... "Dr. Love" and "Beth" were my favorites up until I was well into my teens.
My favorite! Wanna hear his voice for real? React to the song “I still love you.” Also jam out to “Love Gun!” And don’t let anyone try to tell you this one is crap cause it has a disco vibe.. cause some will say that- you loved the song, end of story!💜👍✌️
& you ALWAYS have to listen to KISS as loud as you can!
Guitar, Ace Frehley, bass Gene Simmons, Drummer Peter Criss, singer is Paul Stanley. That is the original Kiss lineup.
