Will, thank you for introducing me to that plugin! I've grabbed both Console and Expanse and I'm using them on nearly each track (especially the former). There is something so satisfying about slapping just one plugin on a track, and being able to process it within single beautiful and clean interface.
This is a game changer. I haven't gotten excited about a plugin in a while, but Lifeline just blew me away. I can't believe how many options and parameters there are JUST IN EACH COLUMN ALONE. Extremely customizable and friendly user interface. Not to mention there's something much smoother about the quality of sound in Lifeline vs. RC20. You did such a wonderful job explaining the plugin that I'm picking it up right now. I'm calling it - a must have for lofi.
Speaking my language! 🙌🏼 I feel like I haven’t been excited about an FX plug-in since Portal (output) came out in like 2019 but you’re absolutely right about it being smoother than RC. They have their similarities but Lifeline Console is definitely more subtle (don’t get me wrong you can really mangle the sound still) but it just sounds more tasteful, in comparison RC now sounds “cheap” to me.
plugin seems incredible ngl, with retro-fi and rc-20 there is a lot of choice right now, can't wait to try this one definitely joining your patreon asap, video is fire as always
Great video! I see different versions, but other than lite, I can't tell what the differences are. Do you happen to know? What version are you using in the video?
I think Lifeline Console looks similar to Lifeline Expanse. A Google search says “While Lifeline Expanse simulates the space and characteristics of real recording environments and re-amping methods, Lifeline Console focuses on mixing in a control room, offering you the sound of sought-after hardware and analogue formats all within your DAW” I find Console way more subtle and tasteful, which I guess is in line with the above!
just got this! awesome lil plugin.... however facing an issue, where I can still hear the plugin AFTER my sequence has stopped. not sure if you know what I mean, but the rc-20, you'd stop hearing it after you stopped your song in your daw, with this, I can still hear it as if it never turns off. not sure if im just doing something wrong
Good question! It really does depend on your system. At the time of recording this it was a little heavier with all the visuals but they've since made updates!
Thank you for a very clear rundown of this plugin. ❤
Happy to help!

I thought the exact same!

I suspect this time next year lo-fi will be out of date but return with a bang in 30 years time.

Appreciate you Maxime!
Things are more exciting than ever in the musical world right now!
Great video as always
Thanks bud 🙌🏼🙌🏼
ah wow, sounds class bro! x
This gives me a RC-20 & a little mix of a fabfilter pro q 3. It’s the pro q 3 but it has some resembling features.

@@WillHatton thanks man. I think you're right. I was getting them mixed up!

is there really any need for real tape anymore ?
I like to use it to create a bow around gifts I’ve wrapped.
@@WillHatton lol
@@WillHatton nice 👍
As good as plugins have got I still say yes lol
how heavy is the cpu usage vs. rc 20

@@WillHatton thx for the answer ....but what do you mean by it depends on your system? on some systems LL is heavier and on others rc20?
I just mean depending on what type of computer you have the CPU hog will be different! @@snubdawg1386
The plugin is good but consumes a lot of CPU. A lot!
