    Putin said that after the completion of the tests of the Zircon hypersonic missile, it will be immediately deployed on submarines, ships of the "Gorshkov" type and other ships of the far sea zone.

    • @maksimluzin1121
      @maksimluzin1121 3 года назад +2

      Actually, to the coast guard complexes as well, like Bal or Bastion, since the first tests of the Zircon were been accomplished from the ground launching position. 😃 It will require more sophisticated Intelligence and Controll systems, since Zircon officially can fly for 500 km, unofficially, for about 1000 km... Who knows, really? 😋 But, it requires absolutely Different system of 'intelligence, data processing and command control', say, the 'informational combat system'...

      @clownsallaroundyou 3 года назад +2

      @Bob Saunders Again WTH are you talking about? Why do I have to come accross your nonsensical comments? Scramjets are there for a reason. They do not generate as much heat as conventional engines and do not leave heat trails that much. In order for tracking an IR signature you have to DETECT IT FIRST?! Now.. is there any optpelectronic system to detect a missile flying from that far away that fast? Is there any system to react against it decently/functionally. You cannot develop a well functioning gugided or non guided projectile that can fly such long distances (not even 500 km let alone 1000km). Do notthrow mud on hytpersonic missiles just because you currently suck at developing one. And you can always have a glance at the number of UKSK cells available to carry this hypersonic ammunition in this class of frigates..

      Well considering that most western nations don't use frigates .....nah this is still a shy bit weaker by comparison to what's coming out of italian and Norwegian shipyards.
      Don't take it as an insult, it's actually pretty impressive Russia was able to build something this good considering Russia has never really been much invested in it's navy, it becomes downright shocking when you also consider this is the first true post soviet warship design they build, it's an impressive first step.

      @@anarchyandempires5452
      What BS are you saying man, most western do use Frigates than destroyers. And whats coming out of Italian of Norwegian shipyards that are more powerful that this? Because I cant find any. This frigate has more firepower than most western ships of that size or bigger, only ships like A.Burke, Ticonderoga can claim having more power.
      And besides, nowadays the line between a frigate and destroyer has become blur. There are frigates that have more than 7.000t when in the past that would make it a destroyer. Many European countries like to name heavier ships like the Horizon, F100, LCF etc as frigates, when in reality they have the size, tonnage and weaponry of a destroyer, they do that mostly for political reasons, because perhaps destroyer sounds more aggressive, I dont know exactly but I heard that also as reason.
      Funny though, this new Admiral Gorshkov frigate but be lighter(around 5.400t full loaded) but has more weaponry and just as many sensors(or even more) than those heavier and larger European frigates(destroyers actually) I mentioned above.

    In most cases it's not the technology of the ship or aircraft but the ability of the crew or pilot to use that technology.
    For example in WW II the Japanese air force was superior to anything the US had, but the US better trained pilots and eventually better aircraft turned the tide against the Japanese. And during the Korean War, the MIG-15 was far superior to the American F-86, but the American pilots were more experienced as many of them were WW II pilots and became even better as the war progressed.
    I think US Col Boyd said it best and I'm paraphrasing: Technology is important, but it is the pilot that can Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act (aka the OODA Loop) faster and more effectively than the enemy who will eventually win. Once the American pilot could observe, orient, decide and act faster than the enemy, the enemy was doomed to constantly react instead of gaining the offense.
    Technology is important but experience is even more important.
    So the Russian Frigate has lots of bells and whistles technologies, but unless the crew can use them effectively, they don't mean much.
    Russia has superior technologies with respect to Ukraine, but Russia has not been able to take advantage of that technology as Ukraine fights them to a standstill.
    All Russia can really do is launch long range missiles at Ukraine, but it cannot establish air dominance or superiority over Ukraine and Russia is supposed to have an Air Force equal to the US at least on paper. What thechnologies are on paper means nothing if the crews and pilots can't take advantage of it.

      To virtually all Americans Russia isn't seen as a theat at all. (Perhaps some older people who remember the cold war but we have always beaten russian in competition so even older people are not afraid) The corrupt leadership like Putin is seen to be causing a great number of problems for her people but many of us have known how long the Russian people have been treated so badly. For that we consider russia to be someone to have sympathy for.
      China is seen as a much much greater threat and is really the only country the US 'fears' because we know how insane Xi and his government is and how different the people are from us.
      But far far more than these feelings 95% of people have no fear of any other countries. Our military is so far beyond any other and our fighting soldiers are so much better, why should any american fear an external threat? We have strong allies and control of space, the oceans, the air, and dominate everywhere we set our boots.
      What americans really fear is corruption in our own country. I do not think in my entire life I have ever met anyone who was afraid of Russia, just afraid of nuclear war. I have met maybe a few people who are afraid of China because they are very different, huge, and also nuclear armed.
      But every american I have ever met fears what should happen if our own country is made to be like Russia or China. They fear the corrupt being in power.
      But fear or Russia? No. We consider Russia to be a sister nation that has awful people controlling her. We have no reason at all to fear Russia, only to fear putin deciding to ruin his country forever because he is dying anyway and trying to start a nuclear war.

    Gorshkov: Stealthy
    Zumwalt: Peasant.
    Gorshkov: VLS cells with LONG RANGE MISSILES.
    NATO navy Vessels: Already had VLS for Decades, LOL.
    Gorshkov: I Attracted quite a lot of NATO's attention :)
    HMS Duncan: I attracted Russian Intelligence warships, Russian navy ships, 30+ Russian Aircraft and the whole Russian Black sea fleet :)
    Gorshkov: My Onix Is da BEST!
    Every single US warship with VLS cells: We have LRASM :)
    Gorshkov: I can sink any ship with 1 Hit Accept for an Aircraft Carrier :)
    AEGIS: Oh, Is that a challenge?
    ( by the way, this is just a joke )

      LRASM is not even ready yet, while Onyx was there 20 years ago.

      @@nebulousGemini haha, Nice assumption about me not knowing things.
      I know LRASM isn't in service yet, But it's going to be in a few more years. Onix has been around for over 2 decades but those are older variants of the ones that suck, The newer ones are produce in low numbers and they hardly have enough of onix missile for their ships

      Russians have a lot of 'Onix' missiles! Even for the ground antiship systems 'Bastion'. Moreover, the new hypersonic antiship missile 'Zircon' will finish its tests till the end of this year, according to officials of Russian MoD.
