true that, my class has been practicing Gargoyles for a month now. I'm on the Double bass and I love these pieces and i hope they will be there in High school when i go nest year
It was really frustrating my orchestra was going to play this, and we had to drop it one week before the concert, the 2nd violins kept us from the most fun song I have played on my cello.
me and four other people played this for solo and ensemble, I was on viola. I thought we would end up playing it at the last concert together, us five, but we didn’t and also I left orchestra so no idea what will happen with that
We listened to this in orchestra the other day after sight reading it, my teacher plans on playing it next year, and I can't wait. This is definitely gonna be my favourite song, it's just so beautiful, I'm never gonna forget this.
after being in band for 3 years im a beginner in orchestra on bass and were playing this song and ive only been playing 5 weeks and can already play the whole thing and I LOVE IT
I wish my orchestra was like that they all have been playing for 3 years or more and can't keep up with songs like this and were honors it's so annoying while I'm trying to actually play at our level
cr33p3r dud3 49 i think he/she joined intermediate orchestra, there are some beginners in intermediate too. i’m in 7th and i decided to join orchestra this year, so i was not put in a beginner class and we were already starting some hard music. yOu iDiOt
The Brayden channel It’s not that hard. Your fingers are moving the top not while double stopping the A. Then you double stop the E while playing the bottom notes.
The Brayden channel I was confused at first too, but then when I got the hang of it, I realized that it wasn't actually that hard! Think of them as sections of three notes. The first two notes are a slurred down bow, and the second is a quick up bow. Now, just apply the fingering!
play third finger on E and dont let it touch the A string. (Actually it’s first finger in third position) And then shift over to first finger G on the D string and fourth finger G on a string
it doesnt matter how old you are umm. it matters how long you have been playing. there is a kid in my orchestra who is going into fourth grade playing this with us. i started playing wHEN i got into fourth grade and so did most people in my orchestra. it doesnt matter your age, just how long you played, therefore your statement isnt very impressive
I played this at CODA orchestra and it sucked. Transitions are too basic, counterpoint at the slow section was not harmonically sound, and the sections at the very beginning and end sound like dying geese. Idk if this is supposed to be Pop music or what but it sounds really weird.
@WW Gapoo maybe the orchestra was bad, or maybe one section was trying to override the other sections. I agree that the beginning and end half notes aren’t that good
I didnt even play this, i just found this and now i listen to it everyday
Right its so good makes me want to play it
Such a fun song to play only true challenge is keeping your wrist relaxed throughout the entire fast part

Viola power!

Ha, viola. *scoffs*

It’s always the II violins smh
No offense but y’all don’t deserve the same part as the violas
@@NaxNestorisshut up violas suck 😘😘😘😘☺️☺️
@@NaxNestoris I’m glad I’m not a second violin this year I’m a first violin it’s always the second or the Violas
As a cello player that's the worst feeling. Such a fun piece for cello

Finally, a song with the basses being included with the melody. Thank you Bob, a true masterpiece
check out subterranean dialogues, it’s by richard meyer and is very bass heavy. i loved playing it in orchestra
my orchestra teacher wouldn’t even let us play this, even though i made a inspiring speech for her :(
Maybe it should’ve been longer
LOVE THIS PIECE SI MUCHH UGH I BEGGED NY TEACHER TO LET US PLAY THIS
OMG YES, I WANT TO ASK MY TEACHER IF WE CAN PLAY IT
We listened to this in orchestra the other day after sight reading it, my teacher plans on playing it next year, and I can't wait. This is definitely gonna be my favourite song, it's just so beautiful, I'm never gonna forget this.
Im sorry you sight read that?!
Beautiful and energetic song. Makes me think of a warrior.
Double Bass Notation Nation Baby
I have two words, just beautiful.
I don’t get it
the viola part is honestly probably the hardest
I’m playing this song right now and it is SUPER fun. I am a first violin.
after being in band for 3 years im a beginner in orchestra on bass and were playing this song and ive only been playing 5 weeks and can already play the whole thing and I LOVE IT
Laughing Jack cool what instrument ?
I wish my orchestra was like that they all have been playing for 3 years or more and can't keep up with songs like this and were honors it's so annoying while I'm trying to actually play at our level
They don’t give this type of music to beginners. This is how I know you’re 🤥 lying

Matthew Centeno i fucking know right ;/
+veronica engle I'm playing the violin 2 part and it's difficult
+Matthew Centeno wanna switch
Tfw you're a beginner violinist and gruber says you're better than one of the violinists in the orchestra. RIP that guy
I'm 13 and play the cello and love this song
0:35 reminds me oh so subtly of the theme of "us"
bro i wish my orchestra teacher would let us play this but she wouldn’t even give something this hard to her top group 😭😭
awesome rhythms!
awesomeness
God damn I love this song
I love the changing time signatures at m.33
These are easy to do after you've seen switches to 5/8 and 7/8
no joke i saw a song like this
3/8 4/4 3/8 4/4 6/8 3/4 2/4 5/4 7/8 4/4
I have a piece in my repertoire that has 3/2 time
My friend is going to play this at her solo and ensemble thing, and her ensemble only has 3 weeks to learn and perfect the song
good luck to them cause these time changes will kill you
@@jasonsamuels155 Really?
@@warriorprincesslillie1580 yes it takes a sec to get them down
I also played this at solo and ensemble months ago. We got gold!

can someone help me write ab this piece for school like it needs a story line
how is this not a grade 4 or 4.5!? or at the VERY least 3.5
0:58 is my favorite part 😁
i like when it goes through that part for the second time , it goes down then back up it’s soo cool
Covid ruined my chance at playing this piece in front of an audience when I was still in High School
😊😊😊oh
1:19 How the heck can you do a Non Div like that?
The Brayden channel It’s not that hard. Your fingers are moving the top not while double stopping the A. Then you double stop the E while playing the bottom notes.

Rip to cellos at 1:00
Rip bass and violas too
On god
it sounds messy at times, i think more clarification on some of the parts would make it sound a lot cleaner.

it sounds cooler in 1.25x speed... 🤧
Don’t everything tho?
it really doesnt.....

I am 12 and I am playing this. Get on my level B)
Patrick Lucus its really not that hard to play, and you should be basing it on how long you've been playing not your age.
Patrick Lucus and I'm above your level
Patrick Lucus this is too easy.....

I started playing in 6th grade and this looks really easy. I’ve been playing for a bit over two years.
I played this at CODA orchestra and it sucked. Transitions are too basic, counterpoint at the slow section was not harmonically sound, and the sections at the very beginning and end sound like dying geese. Idk if this is supposed to be Pop music or what but it sounds really weird.

the beginning and end sections are wierd, but you have to admit 3:29 to the end section is amazing
It’s a grade 3 piece it’s not supposed to be perfect in every way, or that hard. Also maybe the orchestra was bad.
Needs more brass
It’s a strings piece tho
