One more trick in the bag! But did you try rotating in your left shoulder a bit on the backslide? The way you're doing it looks more difficult to balance it once the left side of your body is not over the obstacle you're grinding. I'd argue that it also looks better to have the right foot "on the back" while the left is "in front" of it.
I was about to say the same, form a C with your full body. Lifting your front leg facing forward, and above/parallel with the coping.. Grabbing, seems optional nowadays😎
basically all my sessions are around an hour, sometimes a bit longer but not usually. I tend to have problems pacing myself and just keep going over and over again until I realize I need chill out lol I notice that when I skate with friends my sessions are more like 2+ hours because its alot more talking and chilling
Yeah that body position is a bit mental. Just try a front royale and lift your front foot during the grind. Do this for a longer duration each time until you’re confident with jumping straight on with the single leg but hovering the front foot. Then commit and lift the front foot higher until you hit the right position for a backslide.
Very nice, let's go! I love dry winters, the park is empty most of the time!
Yeah it seems like it's going to be a pretty tame winter, lots of skating!!

Yeah I decided to try to learn it like this first so I could leave my other leg out to catch myself but I'm working on getting it the correct way now!
How long are your sessions usually when you’re learning new tricks?

That's exactly what I said I was going to do next in the video 😅
