I also use the D7200 and find it really impressive that you, as a RUclipsr, still use this camera. I also really enjoy working with her, the dynamic range is really good and it's still fun to photograph with her.

Hello Jan, thank you for watching 😊 for what I do it’s more than enough. I’m not printing for billboards and the quality is more than enough for RUclips and also client work. When I have the money I will switch to mirrorless, to follow along with the tech and also for the weight in my backpack, but for now and years I will stick to the D7200

What a place! Great tips. I think you should put tip#6 to wearing a bright colored garment like jacket or your string beanie 😂
That sunstar shot was beautiful. I also always break rule of 3rds. It’s a guide because roughly I like placing something in the near 3rd or closer to the edges of the middle square, but there’s more to the thought process about balancing the frame. I like centered compositions too, tbh.

In some way we all use the rules, but like you are saying it’s all roughly. I think for beginner photographers these are nice tools to use in the beginning and practice composition, but it’s art so rules don’t matter

Have you double checked your settings and switched are on manual focus for the Tamron zoom?
My Sigma 70-210mm is well old and knackered. The data ribbon is on it's way out probably. Good thing my wife has a 55-200mm 😁.

Yes the buttons were on manual, but I have the feeling that time to time the manual mode doesn’t work, but also the auto doesn’t work. The only thing I haven’t tried is to use the mirror up mode and with the remote cable.
