First of all, these welding fume extraction systems are usually not designed for large amounts of dust and you also have to be careful with flying sparks in the machine. that's why my system has an extra filter either to extinguish sparks or to catch the dust.
Yes, I'm not a big fan of manual plasma cutting. It's always a big mess (cnc plasma cutting is something else).
That's why I wanted to build something like that for my welding table for a long time :) I don't have a big workshop either, so I try to build everything in a very space-saving way. The large parts remain at the bottom and the smoke, dust and particles are extracted.
