The 86 Fleer rookies are insane
Agreed! Iconic set for sure.
Yea right....what a great set to have. Was looking to buy a couple packs of Ebay but they want mega money for them.
69' Topps are dope, too!
61 fleer my favorite I only have 1card from this set but it's Wilt😅
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTORI have the entire set only the Jordan was graded.
Glad to see ya back posting! Love the vid
I remember walking into my local card shop and buying 90-91 packs like Skybox and Hoops (not worth much at all) and I still remember seeing those 86 fleer packs and not buying them bc they were “expensive” and I was only 9-10 years old. It was prob like $25 per pack.. man I wish I bought a whole box!
Man! So glad to see you back posting videos again! Made my day!
Thanks, brother! Stay posted for more! 🙌
Good to see you back and as PSA, Matt. Hope all is well!
Glad to see you back! Great video!
More to come! Thanks, Joe! 🙌
Another great vid Matt
Thanks, brother! It's good to see familiar names still supporting the channel! 🙏🏻 🙌
Great job Matt! What I love about these lists is that there's no shame even being #50 all-time. Appreciate all the time and effort you put into your videos, well done!
I appreciate that! And you're right, even at number 50 you're a winner!
Good to see you back in action brother. Use to love them top 30 Jordan Inserts, you should run it again soon. Good luck chief!!
I've got a list of Jordan in the making so stay posted for that!
I’m so glad you are back!
Thanks! Me too! I missed making these videos!
Great video thanks for sharing this
Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
I’m lucky enough to own almost half of the cards featured, though none in the grades on the video. It’s cool to see about 4 or 5 sets make up the bulk of these. Those vintage sets are 🔥🔥
I have that Kobe rookie Mint !.😮😮😮
Sup Matt. Great to see you again!!!
Thanks, man! Pumped to be back! 🙌
Cool video. After watching your video. I just had to go look an see I still have my bill walton rookie card been put away for years
Great video 💪🏼
Glad you liked it!
Great video 👍👍
Great video. Please keep them coming
Thanks, Wade! I've got a lot more coming! 🙌
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR much appreciated information and videos
Michael Jordan's 1984 Star Company Rookie sold for $444,000 at Goldin auction in PSA 9
I’m glad you back
Thanks, brother, I'm glad to be back!
Perfect Sir! love it!!
Thanks a lot!
Blessup PSAC!...As a youngin I used to go to my local toy shop and buy packs of cards 91-92, -92-93, up to 2001...prices ranged from $1,2,4 and $5...tops chrome was like $6, I bought a Skybox 36 pk hobby box where I got jason kidd and Grant hill rookies, and I bought upper deck hobby box both was $38 a box back then...after awhile I stopped, but just a few years ago, I remembered my cousin had my 2 binders of basketball cards inserts and rookies for 20 years...the 2 kobe rookie cards was the prize, along with 2 different Jason kidd Rc, Iverson RC, ray allen RC, steve nash RC, my cousin didnt touch any card in 20yrs...But I did manage to buy some hanger boxes on steel city to get back in the loop and boy those prices today for a pack is insane lol, but that binder I got Jayson Tatum Rc, donovan Mitchell RC, Brandon ingram RC, bam adebayo RC, jamal murray RC...and Im thinking on getting some for this season...
Great video man, keep it running.
Bro i need a " LOW HANGING FRUIT VIDEO ".. I honestly feel nows a great time to buy for future ROI..
Can u make a video please
I got a great deal getting the Rodman PSA 10 for $1500. I couldn't believe it. I thought the seller was going to cancel the sale 😅 but thank goodness they honored it
Dang, that was a deal, man. Congrats! Them '88 Fleer cards are tough to grade.
I bought a ungraded Rodman rookie for $10. It looks sharp too. Could be a PSA 7. I might get it graded but dam PSA 10 Rodman is as good as it gets
Now that PSA (which graded all? the cards on this list) is also recognizing and grading the 80's Star Co. basketball cards wouldn't that remove the RC designation of players who appear in the 1986 Fleer set if they made their debut in earlier Star cards, especially Jordan?
Where can I go to have my basketball cards graded,
Hello Matt great to see you brother.. ✌
Thanks, man! 🙌
I had some of these cards not in this quality.
To bad 1986 Fleer aren't true rookie cards for most of these players as they have star cards which where NBA LICENSED and actually from the Rookie seasons.🤷♂️
Agree, plus Fleer used many Star Card photos
A lot of lvl 10 PoPs for the 86 Fleers
What about Luka, Lebron, Steph?
great job
Thanks, Pedro!
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR You´re the guy who got me back into collecting (since 1996) a couple years ago and I can only Thank You for that!! This hobby does have its shaddy people and aspects but You are one of the very few people that keep it fun and real! all the best to You and keep on collecting!
Is this just based on the most recent sales of the respective card?
It's a combination of most recent sales and the average sale. So, if we have an outlier sale of $50,000 in one month but the average sale is between $15,000 - $30,000 and the most recent sale is $25,000 then I will use the $25,000 value. However, is the PSA 10 population is just 1 and the sale was huge then I will go ahead and use that 1 sale because no other sales have taken place. Keep in mind how volatile the sports card market is. Just because a card sold for $5,000 last month doesn't mean it will this month. Timing is crucial. I hope this helps!
I have this Kobe rookie in 10 mint..spend maybe 2 seconds before i put it inside a sheet and hard plastic. Had no idea how it sky rocketed ! Rest in Peace Mamba..
I really like your work Matt, please never stop, please keep it up, also with your wife the best work. I wrote from small Eu country Hungary, It's next to Ukraina.
Thanks, so much! I appreciate the feedback and support from Hungary! 🙏🏻 ❤️
A rookie lebron sold for $5,200,000 million last year.
Meh i would of not of sold it tbh would of killed my joy for the hobby for me I definitely would tease niggas for sure and keep it for the clout
I like Pistol Pete Maravich #44
Love the tall boy cards! 🙌
NICE
Yes let’s go Matt
Let's go! 🙌
I wasn't even collecting sports cards in 1986. I was collecting garbage pail kids😢. I started collecting around 90-91. Anyway. Since Jordan rookie in 1986. It's seems every 10 years a rare player comes around where some of their rookie cards are worth hundreds and thousands of dollars like Kobe Bryant. Then you got LeBron in 2003 who has cards worth thousands of dollars. Then after that I think you got guys like Luka who has some rookie cards worth hundreds of dollars. Probably thousands too. Then you got Wemby who looks to be the next best thing. I got one of his rookies so I'm hoping his card goes for a few hundred in a couple years😊
Are you still around Knoxville Matt?
Yep, Knoxville is home 👍🏻
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Same here. Good to see your videos again. I always enjoy.
My man he's BACKKKKKKKK!!!!
Back in the saddle! 💪🏼
The Kareem will fetch over a million if it is put up for auction today.
Nice
No Bird card?
Do you do hockey I would like to see Tom the best selling hi he cared Rocky I hope you can do it for me
I do like hockey, however, it is not my specialty... I will add the hockey to my list of videos though! Stay posted for one in the near future. I need to make my way through baseball, basketball and football first.
Missing a bunch of sales my man, the Jordan still sells for around 200k and hit 800k a few years back. You used other sales for the same time period, so why not on the Jordan?
I use the most recent sales. Cards with low pop numbers don’t sell as often as high pop cards like the Jordan. Gotta stay up to date with the market. Cheers!
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR will there's also been recent sales of thr bird/ magic over 750k as well.
Wait? Didn't a 86 MJ go like $800k in 2020?
Several did
I'm confused about the Rick Barry one. That's not his rookie card. He was drafted by the warriors. Why would a card like that be worth that much? He barely played for NY. That a mistake or something?
Many basketball players' rookie cards do not feature them in their actual rookie year, as basketball cards were not in high demand between the 1950s and 1970s. Therefore, collectors consider their first available card as their official rookie card. For example, Michael Jordan was drafted in 1984, but since no Fleer or Topps sets were released that year, his 1986 Fleer card is considered his rookie card. Similarly, Rick Barry's rookie card is from 1971, as no Fleer or Topps sets were available in 1965, and Barry was not in the 1968 or '69, or '70 sets. I hope this information is helpful!
Sorry a little confused..some of the 86’ players were not rookies in 86’….
Correct. Michael Jordan was drafted in 1984, but there were no sets printed by major card manufacturers like Topps or Fleer in that year. As a result, Jordan’s 1986 Fleer card is often regarded as his official rookie card since it was part of the first widely distributed and officially licensed set featuring him. This is one reason why the 1986 Fleer set is renowned for containing many basketball 'rookie cards.' However, it’s important to note the exception of the 1984 Star cards, which, while they do feature Jordan and were released earlier, are not always recognized by some collectors due to their limited distribution and lack of brand awareness.
Nicee
Somewhere out there Michael Jordan is "taking it personally" that he's only number seven on this list. 🤣🏀7⃣❗❗❗
Couldn't imagine spending half a million on a piece of cardboard. No offense.
Star cards were before fleer and actual rc cards. Do the research
Nobody collects Star cards - too many fakes anyway. Do the research, pal.
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR your response confirms you haven't. I've been collecting since 88. Do you know what a type 2 is? Look into it...might understand why your response needs research.
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR and to add..check out the Geoff Wilson Interview with Steve Taft recently. Could profit from it.
Many collectors collect Star cards. I have a 1984 BGS 8.0 Jordan RC and his 1986-87 Fleer 3rd year card. PSA grades Star cards so if they recognize them you should too.
Just found my cards I bought 30 years ago lol anyone interested? Real gym's in here wow...🏁🤷🕊️
How do I re-value these ,? They are all in a case with mint # on them..
❤❤❤wauuuuu
No more graded card collector ?
I still use Graded Card Investor on Instagram, but kept the PSA Collector name for various reasons. Cheers! 🙌
Lost credibility...you left off the 1980s star cards. Actual true rc cards and jordans true rc
You look so different than you use to
About 2 years older 😂
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR How's the family doing?
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Would you have gone to see Daddy Yankee when I messaged you 8x over a month last year. I know him personally and I was trying to get you and the Wife tickets for his show when he came down that way on his retirement tour
Worthy wasn’t a rookie in 1986. And quite a few others weren’t rookies in the year you said they were. Thomas wasn’t a rookie in 86. Olajuwon not a rookie in 86. Terrible. How do you make a video with so many errors?
Ok I am a total rookie when it comes to collecting cards I really don’t know much stuff about it I know a few slang terms I have been following sports for over 25 years specifically basketball baseball and football. Is it wrong for me to get boxes of modern older cards cards get certain ones graded and then not sell them and just tease people about selling them them not having no intent on selling them but keep the non valuable ones for fun as a hobby and memory’s from my childhood?
Damn
630k for an 8.5 of Big Bill
