    Loyalists don't know who they are or what they believe in. My personal interpretation of this is education and social class. Nearly all Loyalists are from a low social class and have no education. The rest are just brainless. If anyone is educated and has an understanding of what is right and just in the world, they will not be Loyalists. I am friends with many protestants, all of them are educated, know their history and hate loyalists.

      It's got a lot to do with in the 70s it's was hard for Catholics to get a job,so most Catholics went to university,and got proper education's,while protestants continued to work in the unionist factories and businesses.totally agree with you on that one.most republicans seem to have a better understanding of geopolitics and world affairs, while loyalists only seem to be concerned with what happens on a local or regional level.i was born Protestant btw.

    I really liked this documentary, especially the presenter. I think his honesty in presenting the affiliations of Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict shows how people hear what they want to hear because it's convenient to them. @grey4720 7 лет назад +9

      Well because the so called Irish followers of the Catholic faith betray their faith by supporting the Mohamadan assault and occupation of the temple mount and birthplace of modern Christianity to start. I have nothing against Irish protestants or Catholics, but find it hypocritical for an Irish Catholic to be against Israel and support an invented people bearing the Roman term "Palestinia".
      To give legitimacy to the PA and Hamas as a people and a state is as asinine as saying Ireland has always been legitimately English. The Jewish people fought against England's and the Arab's grip on their homeland and somehow in the 60's and 70's morons through Europe came to the conclusion the Mohamadans are somehow victims? What kind of an Irishman supports those who almost ruined Europe until Charles Martel saved the continent so the various European cultures could flourish? Catholics attacking protestants is just stupid, since that aggression should turned against the Islamic theocrats ruining Europe.
      To say the mohamadans are victims is to also say the Nazis and Communists were also victims in their perversions and rape of Europe.

    many times now i have read the comment, in regard to loyalists, "they could only source weapons from S.A. and israel", thats ridiculous, arms dealers are kinda like drug dealers, or prostitutes, if you can pay you can play

  • @Ptrm594
    @Ptrm594 10 лет назад +2

    Hahaha, classic ! The loyalist in the Bob the Boozer t-shirt says he would die for Israel. I think he's been drinking a wee bit much. Are these people for real? As the host says, both the Israelis and the Irish have fought against the Brits. The loyalists ARE the Brits !

    Catholics and Protestants joined together to pray in Ireland. Brilliant, looks like progress. But because god keeps is eye only on Israel ('Not anywhere else') that's the reason why it's ok for Palestinians and Israelis not to pray together? This was very unclear.

    He's worried about the pro-palestinian guy's speech and advocacy, he tells him "I'm worried your actions will bring more hatred, violence and conflict", but he doesn't seem to mind the loyalist thugs supporting israel.

      he gave everybody pushback dont gaslight and be disingenuous.his point was that these barmy mad unionists and nationalists are using the Palestinian Israeli conflict as a proxy issue and battleground to further carry on their own primitive tribal conflict .me hay be wrong but he certainly didn't go easy on the loyalists

    • @oshinaslanian3221
      @oshinaslanian3221 8 месяцев назад

      @ashley-fk6dp When and where in this video did he have a go at the Unionists? I commented on this video almost 10 years ago but I watched it again to see if I missed anything! Sure enough I didn't 😂. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Irish Republicans/Nationalists standing in solidarity with the Palestinians for the simple fact that they share same struggles at the hands of the blood thirsty imperialists. The Palestinians more so of course. And you know what, I didn't really care if the other side wants to stand with israel, after all they're both oppressors and genocidal murders aren't they? Even though I'm neither Palestinian nor Irish, I've chosen my side. And it looks like you've chosen yours. BTW there are no Bigger gaslighters then the zio-controlled media.

    • @ashley-fk6dp
      @ashley-fk6dp 8 месяцев назад

      yeah i reread my original comment i was the first to drop the term gaslighting ..reason i used the term was that i reckon even if he didnt take the prods aggresively to task he obviously veiws both sides disfavourably for their missuse of the israeli palestinian conflict to carry on their own historical conflict by proxy ...i reckon this was obvious to you but you stil had a go at the bloke even though he is a very moderate secular israeli leftist who even condemed the marvi marmara incident and said it made him feell ashamed to be israeli ....

    • @OldSkoolWax
      @OldSkoolWax 8 лет назад

      +Brecconable It took a series of many, many events in history for that to happen. If the head of he Catholic Church was situated in literally any other European nation other than the divided, feudal, city-state region that was modern Italy, that would not have happened. But you're right. They Vatican is a special case.

    A lot can be learnt from this Jewish guy. He can see no correlation between the Israeli conflict and the Irish situation. It is so far removed it is not funny. Anyone who does not want peace is deluded. To build a state in whatever form, people need peace to trust the other side. Politics then can succeed no matter what path it takes. Another important issue is respect. Respect that another can have a different point of view from you, whether you agree or not, is the future. Think people!

And there was a high king of Ireland, Brain Boru is a perfect example. I bet you've never been on the Boyne.

    We should all act as individuals instead of herding towards loyalist or nationalist tendencies. I lived in the Republic of Ireland all my life and I never had a hatred for Britain or Northern Ireland nor do I see the reason to ally with Palestinians over their conflict with the Israelis because I am an individual. We should treat everyone as an equal who has an individual mind and experience. Borders are make-believe remnants from a savage way of thinking.

    Nice documentary. It really highlights the pathology of settler colonialism.
    With all due respect to the filmmaker, he seems to think we look at the Israeli/ Palestinian conflict as football teams.
    Its not that we support Palestine per se.....we support justice...and in this case, it is the Palestinians who are oppressed. If the shoe was on the other foot we would support the Jews.

    • @r_and_a

      irish nationalists supported the zionist movement in the 1920s & 1930s before israel became oppressors, furthermore palestinians supported the irish struggles for independence - just because the narrator finds history & root causes of things too "boring" to bother understanding doesn't mean those he's arrogantly judging do

    Imagine there's no countries

    Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion too
    Imagine all the people living life in peace

    I hope some day you'll join us
    And the world will be as one
