I am not able to understand the meaning of these 2 sentences:
1. If it stopped raining I would go for a walk.
2. If it stops raining, I will go for a walk.
@@NDBharat123 ... I think it´s a question of degree of expectation. In 1, you don´t expect it to stop raining, but in 2, you are fairly confident that it will stop relatively soon. I hope that helps a little bit.
Tran Quynh if you wanna use an adjective after the subject, i think you should use WAS. On the other habd, if you wann use a subject, then in this case you have to use WERE.
If I were not writing in a formal way, I would use "was" instead of "were".

The young lady is focusing on the form rather than the meaning of the conditional. If I won a lottery I would buy a posh car. What's the meaning? This is something unlikely to happen.
