Yup. A lot of people are craving community and friends. Volunteering is a great way to meet people, while improving your community. (My weekly crew has a group text where we'll send fun stuff throughout the week ❤) Buying used is also great because older things are often built better. Even clothes from a few years ago have thicker material and better seams. Older furniture is often solid wood which is more sturdy and also repairable.
Moving cross Country I went to Salvation Army to get Furniture 20+ yrs ago that's still in use. Some of those orgs are also bigger Corps but since it's 2nd Hand it was cheaper and felt better. Other Things I have came from Neighbors where I saw they were moving and I just asked nicely and paid a few $. Easier for them and cheaper for me ;-)
Saving the money on used stuff is the best. I miss when I was renting storage unit space. People threw away so much nice stuff. I tried to check the dumpsters daily if I could.
loved this! agree with everything that you said, you made your points so clearly and expressed exactly how i feel, too. thank you! hopefully there are lots of people out there who also agree.
@@dhutch13 I'm hoping many people agree. I've seen growing interest in many of these ideas in the last few weeks. I should have gotten this out sooner but I worked hard on the script so it didn't become too big of a ramble.
If there is a particular topic people would like me to expand on further I would be willing to take a swing at it.

@@norasmith8699 all very good points. Also I should have covered more community topics.
