      Perfect! this will help a small part of your tackling, make sure you work on reading an attacker to, so grab a partner and work on reading actually moving bodies. I have loads of drills for this in my Membership. check it out on my website

    I can't often get to my team's practices (I'm in a social team and I'm 55). I had filled some old duffle bags and used to go to the local park to do this sort of thing. Thanks for helping me feel like I'm not some crazy person and also giving some specifics to work on.
    I could use any more solo drills you got.
    The trouble with duffle bags is they are only about 2.5 feet tall so I had to put them on old 5 gallon buckets to get them high enough. The other trouble is the metal buckles.

    I should probably look into getting one of these tackling bags, as I'm not really great friends with most of the people at my U14s in the sense they would see me outside of club. How much do you think it would cost, and would it be a good "investment"?

    • @TheRugbyTrainerTV

      they are defiantly worth the investment, also use BENJOHNT20 for 20% off

    Hey Amy recommendation for someone who used to wrestle and play American football all the their life? I have rugby tryouts on Tuesday 10/11. Would it be a bit of a cultural shock tackling wise or bit of the same just without pads?

    Does weight in tackle bag really matter? Looking at the Rhino one here it's 16.5kg, Ram's is 30kg

    What do you suggest working on for a 1v1 tracking tackle?

    • @TheRugbyTrainerTV
      @TheRugbyTrainerTV  2 года назад +3

      all depends on what you need to work on. foot placement, shutting down the space and variations of tackles are usually the big areas. I cover all this in my Membership
