@@Metalpazallteway good luck! It takes time to sound good. I have not been posting lately but I learn if you open up your throat and embouchure the sound will be fuller and centered. It takes conscious practice to learn this technique.
@@Tseflikas I have to agree at times. With the buffet, the sound changes depending on the weather. It sounds better when it's warm and humid. The Backun Alpha is always consistent.
@@think2023 correct, the point of this video is to show how capable Backun Alpha a student clarinet in comparison with a Buffet r13. For a student model clarinet, it was impressive. I tried to mix and match both mouthpiece, reed, and ligature. So far, this combo is the best for both clarinet.
Very nice playing and comparison!
@@168grhp appreciate it. Thanks!
What mouthpiece and ligature did you use? Any possible links? Very nice sound btw
@@Metalpazallteway for my buffet, it was vandoren db5 and for Backun it was Backun vocalise CG. Ligatures were Rovner versa and silverstein original.
@@knijz16 Thank you so much for sharing. I'll see if I can improve my sound a bit with those additions in the future.

How does Backun Alpha compare to Yamaha YCL-255?
@@Qladstone sorry, I don't have answer to your question. I have not played any yamaha clarinet.
Different mouthpiece and reed...comparison of sound not possible
